Spring: Stripes, Skirts and Printed Tees With LV Neverfull | Weekday Wear Link Up

Striped outfits with some skirts for the spring school holidays back in September! Wore these printed tees with skirts and my Louis Vuitton neverfull tote bag for a couple days out with the kids.

What I wore:

denim jacket with LV neverfull MM and thrifted outfit striped Coca-cola tee and rust ruffle mini skirt sneakers | awayfromblue

denim jacket worn with Louis Vuitton damier azur mm neverfull on shoulder | awayfromtheblue

Earrings: Piper gold heart earrings
Jacket
: Bubblegum denim jacket
NecklaceTiffany diamonds by the yard necklace
Tee: thrifted navy stripe Coca-Cola logo tee
Skirt: thrifted no label rust ruffle tiered skirt
ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD and Hermes Kelly double tour bracelet in rubis
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Why I wore it:

A while back one of my Tiffany bracelets broke, so I had to take it back to a store to get repaired. We decided to make a day of it and head out to Pac Fair again. They had some school holiday fun for the kids to enjoy: a little putt putt golf course through the shopping centre that kept them amused between us popping into shops. Not the most relaxing day trying to shop multiple places with the kids in tow, but certainly fun and they really enjoyed it. Especially the ice cream after lunch!

The Louis Vuitton neverfull was just right for carrying all our water bottles and some snacks for the kids - and thankfully because it's mostly coated canvas, just got a bit of a clean and no ill effects when I forgot to tighten the lid on a water bottle. It started filling the bag up with water before I realised it was a bit wet!

It was a warmer spring day but I thought I might be a little too cold with just a tee and skirt in the aircon of the shopping centre, so I layered my denim jacket on top of this. We couldn't help noticing that despite the warmer day though a lot of the stores seemed to still have the heating on. It was really warm in the individual stores. Probably didn't need the denim jacket after all. I did like how it looked with this outfit though, I've worn the denim jacket with this striped Coca Cola tee before. Such a cute pairing with this thrifted skirt too - both the tee and skirt are $1 each opshop finds!

What I wore:

black love local tee knotted over navy stripe maxi skirt converse and Louis Vuitton damier azur neverfull | awayfromblue

Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull with black tee navy stripe maxi skirt | awayfromtheblue

Tee: The Collective Store Love Local tee in black
Skirt: Target navy side split maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Why I wore it:

Another day of school holiday fun, this one a bit more tailored for the kids though! Took the boys for a haircut in the morning, and then a trip to a newly constructed park I'd wanted to check out for a while. It had a little bit of everything with slides, swings, climbing equipment, water play and a bike track. It was a hit and hard to get the kids to leave in the afternoon, but we had to get home and have dinner as we had evening sports to get to.

Just had an easy outfit for the day, with the first wearing of this Love Local tee I got as a lucky door prize at an event I went to a while back. It's a bit oversized but easily fixed by knotting it. I liked the black with the navy striped maxi skirt and the longer oversized sleeves covered up my shoulders well to provide some sun coverage. The Louis Vuitton Neverfull was my bag of choice again, to fit all of our water bottles, snacks and essentials for our day out. It had dried out after the water bottle incident above which was a few days prior!

Last worn: navy stripe maxi skirt, blue Converse, Louis Vuitton Neverfull (above). First time I've worn the tee as it's a recent addition to my wardrobe.

Other ways to wearnavy stripe maxi skirt with mustard yellow, blue Converse and shorts, Louis Vuitton Neverfull worn 30 ways.

Perfect for pregnancyLouis Vuitton Neverfull at 38 weeks.

How You Can Wear It:

Stripes and skirts are a good alliterative combo! Tees and skirts are comfortable for running around with the kids all day, and longer maxi skirts work well for a trip to the playground.

Printed Maxi Skirts, Yellow Tees and Louis Vuitton Bags | Weekday Wear Link Up

Two colourful printed maxi skirt outfits I wore recently; with yellow tees, sneakers and Louis Vuitton bags.

What I wore:

mustard tee, red maxi skirt and white denim jacket with Louis Vuitton neverfull tote | away from blue

red maxi skirt with Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull | away from the blue

JacketCotton On girlfriend denim jacket in whitehaven
Necklace: Kmart navy and gold beaded tassel necklace
Tee: Big W mustard v-neck tee
Skirtthrifted Billabong 'Don't Think Of It' bikini red printed maxi skirt
ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Why I wore it:

This was a really fun day! Everything aligned for my family to have the day off for the first day of school holidays, so my mum, sister and I took the kids to Paradise Country for the first time. I'm so glad we planned to do this. Not only because it was a beautiful sunny day and the boys had a great time, but also because we found out after we had left the house that there were some COVID cases in the community (it had spread out of quarantine) and so restrictions were going to be coming in. And the next day there were more cases and a 3 day lockdown was announced, unfortunately ruining the rest of the school holiday plans.

Thankfully though we were worry free as we enjoyed the day out! The kids had a blast, there was so much to do and see there for such a small park. The koala cuddles were of course my favourite bit!

It was so warm too I even considered taking my denim jacket off at one point, but by that point the boys had taken their jackets off and we had bought a few things so my poor Louis Vuitton Neverfull was looking too stuffed for me to consider trying to add my jacket on top of it! I think the white denim jacket was a great topper with this (apart from being a little too warm in the middle of the day). It's not the first time I've worn this red maxi skirt with yellow but it's the first time I've tried so much yellow with it, and with the white denim jacket on top it didn't feel too bold.

What I wore:

blue and yellow outfit with tie dye maxi skirt, speedy bandouliere, yellow tee | awayfromblue

Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere with tie dye maxi skirt | awayfromtheblue

JacketWittner 'Santa Fe' cobalt blue leather jacket
Necklace: Jeanswest Taryn turquoise tassel bead necklace
Tee: Jeanswest essential v-neck tee in elfin yellow
Skirt: Jeanswest Farrah blue tie dye maxi skirt
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
BagLouis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere

Why I wore it:

Another colourful outfit, this time with a bit more of a subdued yellow tee, and a whole lot of blue! We were still in the 3 day lockdown but the kids had a dentist appointment and of course as they are providing medical care the dentist was still open. It was a really wet day and a little chilly so I pulled out this leather jacket for the first wearing for winter! I like the bright cobalt blue against the blues in the tie dye print on the maxi skirt. Because of the rain I wanted a waterproof bag too, so I chose this little Louis Vuitton damier ebene speedy bandouliere. It's perfect for a wet day, even if lockdown rules meant we were just outside to walk from the carpark to the dentist and back, ha! Thankfully Cooper is not the kind of dog that enjoys walks in the rain so we didn't have to spend lots of time in the rain.

Only downside to this outfit was that it took a while for my leather jacket to dry off when we got home. I was worried the slit on the maxi skirt might make it too cool for a wet day but the jacket on top kept me cosy, and it was very warm in the dentist!

Last worn: cobalt leather jacket, turquoise tassel necklace, pastel yellow tee, tie dye maxi skirt, Adidas Superstar, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere.

Other ways to wearcobalt leather jacket and shift dress, pastel yellow tee and shorts, tie dye maxi skirt in monochrome outfit, Adidas Superstar and dress, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere and pencil skirt.

Perfect for pregnancyLouis Vuitton speedy bandouliere in third trimester.

How You Can Wear It:

With a colourful printed maxi skirt, a bright block colour tee is a good pairing. If you're worried the combination is too bold, a neutral topper like a denim jacket can tone the brightness down a little. Or you can dial up the colour and pick a colourful jacket like I have in the second outfit to tie in with the print on the skirt.

Blue and Red: Printed Maxi Skirt Outfits With Louis Vuitton Neverfull | Weekday Wear Link Up

Two red and blue maxi skirt outfits with my trusty Louis Vuitton neverfull tote bag. One outfit for a very special day and another for a regular Monday.

What I wore:

ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Why I wore it:

This was such a fun day! Headed out to Mountview Alpaca Farm, at O'Reillys vineyard in Canungra. The plan was to walk a couple of alpacas, get some super soft alpaca snuggles, and have a delicious picnic lunch. Turns out alpacas are really quite stubborn though and it was more briefly walking alpacas and then trying to convince them to move after they decided it was better to stand and enjoy the sun 😂 Seeing the kids turn into alpaca whisperers to try get them to move across the vineyard was really cute though! I felt that we more than deserved the massive overflowing picnic table full of food for lunch afterwards!

It was a cooler morning and I wasn't sure what it would be like in the valley so I did start the day in a denim jacket - but quickly took it off when it warmed up. This blue tee and the red printed maxi skirt were the perfect outfit on their own, without the too warm jacket. I thought the statement necklace dressed it up too. I'd worn the New Balance sneakers as I'd had visions of being dragged along by alpacas and needing comfortable shoes but our alpacas for the morning really were content to laze around for most of our time with them and let us get in lots of pats!

And while the Neverfull was a bit bulky on my shoulder and I worried about accidentally sideswiping an alpaca it was perfect for carrying all our water bottles and my camera. I got so many great photos!

30 Ways To Wear: Louis Vuitton Neverfull

Necklace: Kelly's Kloset rainbow layered necklace
Tee: Jeanswest Emma woven trim tee in terracotta
Skirt: Jeanswest Farrah blue tie dye maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Why I wore it:

This was just a regular weekday with the school run, a couple errands, a doctor's appointment, and sports in the evening. Had to take both kids to the doctors for us all to get our annual flu shots. I didn't expect it to be a smooth appointment but I also didn't expect one of the kids to begin screaming once their brother had his injection, and not stop screaming until quite some time after his own injection! Luckily the doctor was, as always, kind and unflappable and the receptionists did well to mask their giggles when it was all over. They confided that they have seen and heard worse reactions, to help us all feel a bit better! At least it's over for another year!

Dressed comfortably and colourfully for the busy day. I liked the blue and red in the first outfit so it was fun to try it again with a red tee and blue tie dye maxi skirt instead. And as it was a much cooler day, I wore my denim jacket most of the day. This white denim jacket is new, my gift from the boys for the previous weekend's Mother's Day, along with the necklace and so many cute handmade gifts! I was very spoiled for Mother's Day.

Last worn: red tee, tie dye maxi skirt, Converse, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull (above). First time I've worn the necklace and the white denim jacket as they are recent gifts.

Other ways to wearred tee and scarf, tie dye maxi skirt in monochrome outfit, Converse and tee dress, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull and jeans.

Perfect for pregnancyConverse in second trimester, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull at 38 weeks

How You Can Wear It:

Red and blue look great together, and a plain top with a printed maxi skirt is an easy way to try out this colour combination!

Shorts, Cardigan, And Louis Vuitton Neverfull Tote Bag

Recently in Brisbane we were so lucky to get two public holiday Mondays in a row, one after the other! Sharing a couple of my outfits from those Autumn long weekends, enjoying the outdoors with the kids and wearing cardigan and shorts combos.

What I wore:

navy waterfall cardigan stripe tee olive shorts LV neverfull tote | awyfromblue

navy olive striped tee shorts outfit with Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull | awayfromblue

Jacket: Jeanswest waterfall drape cardigan in navy night sky marle
Necklace: Kmart gold and navy beaded necklace
TeeCotton On "The One" fitted v tee in Cole stripe white moonlight
Shorts: Jeanswest Tessa olive embroidered shorts
ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Why I wore it:

Unfortunately, on this long weekend, it rained for two of the three days. When Monday brought clear skies we knew we had to get the kids out the house, so went to our favourite park for a bike and scooter ride, and then a play in the playground afterwards.

I wasn't sure if it was going to warm up much, so I added the cosy navy waterfall cardigan over the striped tee and olive shorts outfit to combat the morning chill. I really didn't need to though, it was such a warm and sunny day I ended up taking it off part way through our ride!

With the navy stripes on the tee, the navy and gold necklace seemed like another way to play up the matchy-matchy along with the navy cardigan. I really like navy and olive together, it looks so good with the olive embroidered shorts.

Wore the New Balance sneakers to provide support for my sore knee as we went around the trail - and the big Louis Vuitton Neverfull as it fit all our water bottles and some snacks for after the ride too!

Last worn: blue waterfall cardigan, navy and gold bead necklacenavy stripe tee, olive embroidered shorts, New balance sneakers, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote.

Other ways to wearblue waterfall cardigan worn belted, navy stripe tee worn two ways, olive embroidered shorts and kimono, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote worn 30 ways.

Wear & Tear: Louis Vuitton Neverfull After 7 Years

Necklace: Colette crescent purple and gold necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Maya gather back tank in mid turquoise
Shorts: Jeanswest Valerie yarn dye stripe short in navy and white
ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Why I wore it:

Making the most of another long weekend, we headed out with my family and the kids to check out a local bush trail. My parents had visited before and my Mum warned me I'd need support for my knee - however I forgot my knee brace, realised when we were already driving there and figured I'd be fine, I'd take the trail slow and I was wearing my supportive sneakers. Really should have turned back for the knee brace though, it was an unpaved and hilly trail so I suffered for a bit after it. So worth it though, such a beautiful trail and the kids had a blast clambering up and around some of the rocks!

Again I added a cardigan over my shorts outfit - this one was just a thin knit as I wasn't sure what the day had in store, it had been another cool autumn morning. Just like the day above though, it warmed up and I took the cardigan off for the second half of the trail. I thought the purple was such a nice topper over the monochromatic turquoise tank and navy culotte shorts outfit, and it did keep me warm before the sun peeked out from behind the clouds!

Again, I wore the Neverfull tote bag. Perfect for snacks, water bottles, and my camera for taking pics on the trail. Forgot to charge my camera though so the battery ran out quickly sadly!

Last worn: earringspurple cocoon cardigan, crescent necklace, turquoise tank, navy stripe culotte shorts, New Balance sneakers (above), Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull (above).

Other ways to wearpurple cocoon cardigan and maxi dress, turquoise tank and maxi skirt, navy stripe culotte shorts with orange, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull and sheath dress

Perfect for pregnancypurple cocoon cardigan and hidden baby bump, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull at 38 weeks.

How You Can Wear It:

Simple shorts and tee, or shorts and tank outfits can still be worn into autumn in Brisbane! To combat the chilly autumn mornings, a light knitted cardigan is a great layer - and it can easily be stashed into a tote bag for later when the day warms up.

Weekday Wear Link Up: Blue and Yellow Tanks, Denim Shorts and Kimono Outfits

Colourful blue and yellow outfits with denim shorts, tanks and kimonos for today's Weekday Wear Link Up. Both the blue and yellow tanks are the same style, I just had to buy it in two different colours when it went on sale 😅

What I wore:

navy floral print duster kimono with mustard yellow tank bermuda denim shorts and rebecca minkoff love too bag | awayfromblue

Shorts: Jeanswest Trinity Bermuda denim shorts
ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
BagRebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather

Why I wore it:

What a surprising day! Just as we pulled up to school they announced on the radio that Brisbane would be going into lockdown that night and it would be my son's last day of school for the term. There had been a couple of events and activities planned for the last week of school so that was a bit upsetting - but to be honest my son handled it better than I did! I kept remembering when this happened in 2020 and we went into lockdown to end the school term early and it turned into weeks at home and online learning...so glad it wasn't the case this year and the 3 day Brisbane lockdown was actually lifted early.

Thankfully my son's teacher still welcomed me to help out in his class room as normal, even if we did a few different things to help her cram a weeks worth of last week of term activities into one day instead of our regular helping with learning! The school handled it well. One of the activities planned for the end of the school day still went ahead, so we were able to enjoy that at school pick up before heading home to start lockdown, as sports later that evening was cancelled so we wouldn't be out when lockdown came into effect.

I had a grocery delivery coming the next day that I'd ordered online as usual so I didn't need to join any queues at the supermarkets, unlike last time there was a surprise lockdown and we were out of bread. My youngest son and I did decide to go get a few more books from the library though, just in case the 3 day lockdown was extended. We were not the only ones stocking up on books! 😅 I was jealous of the lady who turned up with a literal cart and just started filling it with books!

It was nice I had picked such a cheerful outfit for a stressful day - this mustard yellow tank looks really good with the navy floral duster kimono, and I thought the teal earrings were a nice bit of matchy-matchy with the teal Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag.

What I wore:

yellow printed kimono with turquoise tank black shorts LV neverfull | awayfromtheblue

yellow kimono, Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull on shoulder | away from the blue

Necklace: navy and silver circle pendant tassel necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Maya gather back tank in mid turquoise
Shorts: Jeanswest Heather Bermuda short in black
ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Why I wore it:

Wore this for a little stroll along our favourite trail. This turquoise tank is such a bold shade of blue and it pairs so nicely with yellow! So this outfit is a blue tank and yellow kimono, inverse of the one above! Wore this a few days before the lockdown announcement, when it wasn't even on our mind.

Thought bright and colourful would be nice for our little walk, and of course I needed my New Balance sneakers to provide support along the trail. Took my big Louis Vuitton neverfull tote to fit all our water bottles and some snacks in - it's a big bag but it's so light and is perfect for carrying along all the kids things as well as mine!

Again I stuck with denim Bermuda shorts, these black ones matched the shoes and balanced out the bright blue and yellow nicely I thought.

Last worn: yellow kimono, navy tassel necklace, turquoise tank, black denim shorts, New Balance sneakers (above), Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote.

Other ways to wearyellow kimono and olive green, turquoise tank and pencil skirt, black denim shorts and a dress, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote and maxi dress.

How You Can Wear It

Blue and yellow look so good together - in any shade combination! Try mustard yellow and navy, or even blue denim! And turquoise works well with and equally bright and sunny shade of yellow too.

Pink Tees, Maxi Skirts, and Louis Vuitton Bags

Easy autumn outfits - pink tees, maxi skirts and Louis Vuitton bags, for two very different days. A very warm and sunny day, and a very wet day!

What I wore:

pink tee, black drawstring maxi skirt, sneakers and Louis Vuitton damier azur neverfull tote mum style | awayfromblue

Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull on shoulder | awayfromtheblue

awayfromblue Instagram | mum style pink v neck tee black maxi skirt Louis Vuitton damier azur neverfull mm

Necklace: Colette tortoise shell acrylic disc tassel necklace
TeeCotton On deep v tee in washed desert rose
Skirt: thrifted Crossroads black ruffle hem maxi skirt
ShoesNew Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Why I wore it:

Wore this on a hot day to visit another local trail with my parents and the kids. One we hadn't been to before, the kids loved it! It wasn't too long a trail for my knee and it was really quiet with plenty of space to distance from people. Was good for the kids to have a bit of a run around before the wet weather set in later that week too!

Kept it simple with a tee and maxi skirt - again with my New Balance sneakers, I need support for my knee when walking even though the trail was paved. I fit some snacks for the kids and all our water bottles in the Louis Vuitton damier azur neverfull tote bag too - this is the perfect carryall and doesn't get uncomfortable even with multiple water bottles in it.

The pink tee was a nice way to add a little colour too. I liked the tassel necklace even though I wasn't sure at first if it would work with the drawstring on the maxi skirt. Really liked this outfit and the day we had out in the bush!

What I wore:

pink tee and floral print navy maxi skirt with Adidas superstar sneakers and Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere | away from blue

Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere | away from the blue

Earrings: Kmart navy tassel earrings
Necklace: Lovisa blue leaf long necklace
Tee: Jeanswest essential v-neck tee in azalea pink
Skirt: Ally Fashion blue border print floral maxi skirt
Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
BagLouis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere

Why I wore it:

I'd planned to wear this outfit to bring a bit of colour to the wet week - a little colourful cheer in the big wet. We were lucky to avoid most of the floods so it was a regular day for us with the school run, a library visit, and sports in the evening. While it was a dry morning I quickly regretted my outfit choice when we got to the library - being petite this maxi skirt is a bit on the long side and it quickly started to get wet. Accidentally stepping into a puddle on the way home after sports was the worst!

Unsuitability for the wet weather aside, I did like the outfit! The pink tee is so perfect with the blue and pink floral print on the skirt, a really pretty and cheerful combination. The navy leaf necklace was a bit of matchy-matchy with the print on the skirt too.

How You Can Wear It:

A tee and maxi skirt is a staple outfit for mum life! You can use a pink tee to add more colour to a neutral skirt, or to bring even more colour to an already bright printed skirt. The pinks match so nicely in that last outfit!
