What I wore:
Necklace: engraved interlinked silver circle family name necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Maya gather back tank in mid turquoise
Skirt: Ally Fashion blue border print floral maxi skirt
Shoes: Rebecca Minkoff Georgina studded gladiator sandals in blush
Bracelets: the usual plus vintage silver charm bracelet
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Love cross body bag in grey with Rebecca Minkoff Crystal Star Shoulder Guitar strap
Why I wore it:
When I saw this maxi skirt I knew I'd go the matchy-matchy route and wear it with my turquoise tank right away! I was out at the movies with my mum and sister when we had a walk around the shops and saw a sale on skirts and mum offered to buy us one each for Christmas. Was the perfect thing to wear a couple of days later when we went for our annual pre-Christmas shopping trip. We hit up the outlets on the coast and even though I didn't need to buy any more Christmas presents I picked up a couple extra things and we had a great time! Even if I do regret leaving a massively reduced bag behind and not buying it 😂The studded sandals were an attempt to make my outfit more dressed up too, as I didn't expect to be doing any shopping for me....ended up unbuckling them many times, which was a bit of a pain as they have 3 buckles each. The sales assistant at Sass and Bide was quite concerned how much time I was taking trying on a single pair of jeans - we all laughed as I explained I'd gotten out of the jeans a long time ago I was just stuck buckling up my impractical shoes. Didn't get the jeans after all of that either! 😂
After shopping we went out for dinner so I decided to swap out the regular chain strap on the Rebecca Minkoff love bag for this blingy embellished bag strap. It's a fun combination and one I wear a lot.
Last worn: navy tassel earrings, turquoise tank, studded gladiator sandals, embellished bag strap, Rebecca Minkoff love bag. First time I've worn the maxi skirt and the necklace as they are recent gifts.
Other ways to wear: turquoise tank and pencil skirt, studded gladiator sandals worn 30 ways, embellished bag strap with monochrome outfit, Rebecca Minkoff love bag worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: Rebecca Minkoff love bag in second trimester.
30 Ways to Wear Rebecca Minkoff Love Bag:
What I wore:
Top: MEV Britney bubble tank in mood indigo C/O
Skirt: thrifted Billabong 'Don't Think Of It' bikini red printed maxi skirt
Shoes: slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Love cross body bag in grey
Why I wore it:
Needed something simple for church before Christmas. We'd had a busy week before it so I went with this super comfortable red printed maxi skirt which is so nice on a hot day. I picked the navy tank as I felt like it had been a while since I last wore it. While it is a breastfeeding tank, I have kept it around in my wardrobe as I think the neutral navy goes with everything and it's a soft bamboo fabric, it's a dream to wear!Stuck with the grey Rebecca Minkoff love bag I wore in the first outfit, but swapped to the regular chain strap that came with it to keep things simple. After church and grocery shopping it was a quiet afternoon and then watching a Christmas movie to ease us into the holidays!
Last worn: navy breastfeeding tank, silver multi strand necklace, red printed maxi skirt, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff Love crossbody bag (above).
Other ways to wear: navy breastfeeding tank and jeans, red printed maxi skirt and band tee, Rebecca Minkoff Love crossbody bag and sundress.
Perfect for pregnancy: navy breastfeeding tank in second trimester, Rebecca Minkoff Love crossbody bag in third trimester.
Printed Maxi Skirts Under $50:
How You Can Wear It:
A plain tank is an easy pairing with a printed maxi skirt. A basic block colour tank works well either matching or contrasting. You can pick a colour out of the print to wear on top and match like I have in the first outfit, or add a contrasting colour like I have in the second outfit.Linking up with Weekend Wear, Fancy Friday.
I love the necklace :)
ReplyDeleteHow nice of your mom to gift you and your sis skirts! Tanks are great in the hot weather and my love for a great maxi runs deep. I haven't been to the outlets in ages - the temptation is so great. Hope your week is going well!

I was gushing over your first maxi skirt, with its subtle but gorgeous print, and then I scrolled and saw the second skirt, which definitely made my heart beat faster. Orange and navy is such a stylish combination, and that skirt's print is absolutely fabulous! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks, that skirt was such a great $3 opshop find! :)
DeleteBoth of these outfits are so lovely. I really like the first blue styling. That blue tank top looks great paired with that printed blue maxi. That's a fab print. I also like the grey RM bag, it looks great with both outfits. The second combination of colours is very nice too. Great outfits for warm weather.
ReplyDeleteI love how you point out the same recipe for these outfits. They really look so different because of the color combinations.

I hate when I wear something impractical and end up going shopping! It's such a pain! It's so nice to see you in fun summer clothes against a Christmasy backdrop, since we don't have that luxury here! :)
ReplyDeleteI did think to myself as I went to put them on that they might not be the best idea but I wasn't expecting to try many things on, haha! :)
DeleteThanks all for your lovely comments! :)
