Dresses, Purple Cardigans, Scarves and Chloe Paraty Bag

Winterising two summer dresses for cooler days with purple cardigans, colourful printed scarves and my periwinkle blue small Chloe Paraty bag.

Jacket: Jeanswest Peggie kimono cardigan in purple mulberry marle
Scarf:  Fashion Scarf Girl pretty pink floral tassel scarf (c/o)

Shoesthrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty

Why I wore it:

Wore this to go to a special Under 8s celebration day at my son's school. Under 8s Week is a week of fun events and activities for the little ones, and while my son missed out last year because of the 6 week lockdown we had with no school, the school went all out this year for the event. Younger siblings welcome meant I got to spend a busy morning running around with both kids as they drew, did crafts, got their face and hair painted, had a dance party, played in the sand pit and with some construction toys. So much fun for them!

It was a colder morning but I was hopeful it would warm up, so I layered up this old ASOS grey skater dress with this purple cocoon cardigan and bright mixed print scarf. I thought the print and colours would go nicely with the plain two tone grey dress, and the bright neon pink looked great with the purple cardigan. Ended up keeping both the scarf and cardigan on most of the day though - it didn't warm up as much as I'd hoped! Was an easy outfit for the fun day at school still, and a trip to the library before school pickup.

Last worn: purple cardigan, mixed print scarf, grey skater dress, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Chloe Paraty bag.

Other ways to wearpurple cardigan and printed jeans, print scarf worn as kimono, grey skater dress worn 2 ways, Adidas Superstar sneakers and jeans, Chloe Paraty bag and blue dress.

Perfect for pregnancypurple cardigan in second trimester, grey skater dress in second trimester.

Why I wore it:

This was a really chilly morning and I regretted my decision to wear this striped tee dress with bare legs for the school run! I had a busy day ahead though of last minute errands for my son's upcoming birthday party that weekend, and I figured we'd be rushing around between shops and the car so I wouldn't need anything too warm. It warmed up later too, and although I took the cardigan off I kept the scarf on all day.

This leopard print scarf is a fun one I got from my mum for Christmas. I do love leopard print scarves with stripes, and I liked it with the dress! The pink spots are a close (but not exact) match for the magenta-ish purple cardigan too! This is the first cardigan I hit 30 wears with, it's so colourful and cosy for winter!

Last worn: purple cardigan, striped tee dress, New Balance sneakers, Chloe small Paraty bag (above). First time I've worn the scarf as it was a Christmas present.

Other ways to wearpurple cardigan worn 30 ways, striped tee dress and denim jacket, Chloe small Paraty bag and shorts.

Perfect for pregnancypurple cardigan and hidden baby bump.

How You Can Wear It:

A simple summer dress can be easily layered up for cooler weather. By picking a neutral dress like the grey skater one or the black and white striped tee dress, you can use scarves and cardigans (and even your bag) to add more colour to your outfit.

  10. Love these colourful outfits from you, Mica! The cardis and scarves are so fun! In the first outfit, I really love the scarf/cardi mix, but I think the grey dress is a little on the blah side - that said, it's a good basic layer for your colour. In the second outfit, I LOVE the stripes with the oversized leopard pattern scarf - it's so pleasing to the eye!

How nice that your boys got to do all those activities! Stay warm and cozy, my dear!

  21. The scarf is a great addition to the outfit. It has some pink which matches the pink cardigan, and blue which matches the blue bag.
I'm not a fan of stripes, but on you the striped dress looks fantastic.

  22. Hey Mica,

I bet you missed some of those activities at your son's school, and obviously a comfortable outfit is needed since you'll be moving a lot. I love that you kept it with basic garments that we all have at home but adding your personal touch, specially with the color! That striped mini dress looks comfortable and it is just a good garment to combine with that colorful scarf! :)
