What I wore:
Tee: Cotton On deep v tee in washed desert rose
Shorts: Kmart culotte short in navy lemon print
Shoes: slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC bag in fig
Why I wore it:
This was a long but fun day! We had to get a few things crossed off our Christmas shopping list so we headed out to the outlets. It was really productive and we got almost everything we went to buy, and I even managed to pick up some adorable little gold dishes to use for our Christmas table centrepiece. Even though I'm not hosting Christmas this year I like to decorate our table for December, and this year the boys and I painted some pinecones and covered them in glitter to use them on our dining table. There are 3 different shades of pink in this outfit with the berry toned tee, pastel pink in the print of the shorts, and almost mauve pink of the Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC bag. But I think it all worked so well together! I wasn't sure if the tee and bag would be too similar at first but I really enjoyed this combination and it was so comfortable for a long day of shopping at some very crowded stores.
Last worn: raspberry pink tee, House of Harlow sunburst necklace, Kmart printed shorts, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC crossbody bag.
Other ways to wear: raspberry pink tee and maxi skirt, Kmart printed shorts and cardigan, Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC and maxi dress crossbody bag.
My Favourite Rebecca Minkoff Bag:
What I wore:
Necklace: blush pink and gold beaded tassel necklace
Tee: Spectrum basic v-neck tee in washed lilac
Skirt: Target navy side split maxi skirt
Shoes: Wittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs waxed leather cream howlite beaded wrap bracelet
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC bag in fig
Why I wore it:
After the school run we had a quick errand to run - dropping off some donations at the opshop which of course turned into picking up more things 😂 Got some more Christmas decorations and a few more books for the kids and I. After that went to more shops to try and get more Christmas shopping done, picking up a few things we hadn't been able to get at the outlets the weekend before.
Last worn: lilac tee, blush tassel necklace, wrap bracelet, navy stripe maxi skirt, studded sandals, Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC crossbody bag (above).
Other ways to wear: lilac tee and denim shorts, navy stripe maxi skirt with yellow, studded sandals and midi dress, Rebecca Minkoff Jean MAC crossbody bag and little black dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: lilac tee in second trimester, studded sandals in third trimester.
How You Can Wear It:
A pink bag goes with so many other colours! Navy is a good pairing but you can also try things like purple as I have in the second outfit, or different shades of pink like in the first outfit.
It's great that you were able to get things crossed off your list at the outlets. I haven't been in ages! Also haven't done much in person shopping, I rarely do at Christmas. My kids send me links to all the things they want and I just order, so easy!
ReplyDeleteAll the shades of pink work so wellin your outfit!

I did the majority of shopping online but I like to browse in person too, I'm glad we were able to this year!
DeleteYes, the color of the pink bag can be matched with other colors of clothing. Looks more impressive cheerfulness.

you look wonderful, beautiful stylizations :) it's nice to look at such warm photos when it's cold outside. My weather is really bad :)
ReplyDeleteGreetings from Poland!
Both outfits are super cute. I really love the shorts in that first set. The print is so wonderful! Glad you were able to get lots of Christmas things and some shopping checked off of your to do list.

I am so envious that Australia has done the hard work to beat back the virus, so you can return to a more normal existence. Here, the thought of going to a mall terrifies me. Both of your outfits are really cute. Love that purple tee!

Yes I'm glad things are safer here - we hadn't had any cases in over 100 days by December! :) I still wore a mask though, it was really crowded at the shops.
DeleteI like both outfits on you Mica. The rose top and bag are so pretty and I love that color on you. Hope you're having a nice week.
ReplyDeleteHouse of Harlow necklace twins! Loving the colors of both these outfits, especially the shade of purple of that tee

DeleteI really like your first pink outfit, so feminine and girly. I love how you wore different shades of pink with the cute top and the wonderful bag. You look great! A lovely outfit for your fun but long day.
ReplyDeleteThe second outfit is also fabulous. The purple top looks great with the striped maxi and the RB bag is again so pretty. You look lovely in both outfits.

I love that first little skirt and that necklace. I often forget to add interest with a necklace. It does help now that I have hung them in my closet. The purse sure is working with a lot of outfits!

I think I know which bag is your current favourite, Mica :-) I'm loving both of your outfits equally. Never mind the different shades of pink in the first one, it is absolutely delightful. And I love the colour combo of your lilac tee and pink bag in the second. I'm hearing you on the Christmas outfits in January thing. I am usually a week or two behind in my blog posts, and I've got to be creative to include anything Christmassy at the right time :-) xxx
ReplyDeleteIn first outfit is so cool because shade of t-shirt and bag are same. I like that shade. Merry Christmas in advance to you and your family.I created a Youtube channel and it would mean a lot to me if you subscribe. Thank you!

Congrats on your Youtube channel!
DeleteLove your first outfit, Mica - that is the perfect shade of rosy pink on you. Great bag, and you'll be happy to know I'm wearing my Mini Mac daily, and it's wonderful. This slightly larger size is nice, and cool colour.
ReplyDeleteFantastic maxi skirt in your second outfit - you look about 6 feet tall!
Glad to hear you're decorating - your pinecone art sounds wonderful. You're going to laugh when I reveal some of my childhood ornaments - there are a bunch that are ones I made as a child. They are full of memories of making things like your pinecones.
Hugs to you, my friend!
I loved seeing your childhood ornaments! Just like my parents have, all the ornaments we made as kids! :) I'm so glad you're getting use from the bag, it was an awesome find!
DeleteI need to wear that maxi skirt more often if it makes me look that tall, haha!
Sounds like a pretty busy time. I love both outfits - you always look good. Yeah, dropping off at a thrift shop always includes bring home too.

That rose bag just steals the show! I went to the outlets back in the early fall and it was SO nice (before the Covid got all crazy here again- boo).

Yay for being able to cross things off your list. This time of year is always so busy and it seems that way even when we are mainly at home. I love your rose colored top as well as your RM bag. The color is just absolutely stunning! We are done with our Christmas shopping. I do miss going to the outlets or mall in person so living vicariously through you! I hope your week is going well Mica and happy Thursday!

ReplyDeleteI hope you have a lovely weekend.

That's just lovely that you got to complete your to-do list just in time for Christmas. I adore the two outfits you wore as I find them super cozy and chic at the same time. You always have fun with color-matching and blocking, it's so inspiring! I don't go to the malls often these days but I did visit an old childhood mall to fix the screen cover on my mobile and it was so very quiet with lots of shop closed and some parts are under renovation. It was such a strange nostalgic feeling as I compared it to the time (almost two decades ago) when malls were bustling! Wishing you a lovely pre-Christmas fun with the kiddos :D xoxo
ReplyDeleteMica, these colors are all so fun and perfect for the season! I really like your culotte shorts. They are so adorable! And the maxi skirt with the purple tee is really cute, too. I have been sharing lots of outfits recently as well because so many are Christmas themed! Thanks for joining us at Your Own Twist link party!
