What I wore:
Necklace: thrifted blue statement beaded necklace
Tee: thrifted Kmart black and cream stripe tee (new purchase)
Shorts: Jeanswest Tessa olive embroidered shorts
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Micro Bedford zip satchel in twilight
Why I wore it:
A colourful outfit for the first wearing of this tee. I mentioned before I like the cardigan and shorts combination, even if the extremely warm start to spring meant I couldn't wear it as much as I liked! With the mustard cardigan, navy accessories and olive pull on shorts, this was a comfortable outfit perfect for working from home. And as I mentioned on Instagram, taking advantage of a break between meetings to go for a drive and swap with someone for the last Ooshie we needed for our collection. When we caught up with my parents a few days later they gave me the last of the Ooshies they had...and now we have 3 of that little one I drove to get. Got too caught up in the "early ending of the promotion" panic! 😂 I'm glad we completed our set though, and the Ooshie craze is over (for this year!) now...
Last worn: mustard cardigan, navy necklace, olive embroidered shorts, Converse, navy Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford bag. First time I've worn the tee as it was a recent purchase.
Other ways to wear: mustard cardigan and leopard dress, olive embroidered shorts and grey knit, Converse and maxi skirt, navy Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford bag and tee dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: Converse in second trimester.
Ways To Wear Bright Bags:
What I wore:
Tee: thrifted Kmart black and cream stripe tee
Skirt: thrifted Crossroads black ruffle hem maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Balenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet
Why I wore it:
A slightly more monochromatic outfit this time, pairing the black and cream striped tee with the black Converse and the also thrifted black maxi skirt. The skirt was just $1 too! It was a wonderful spring day so I wanted to add a little more colour - pink accessories were perfect, with the pink marble and gold necklace and my sorbet pink Balenciaga city bag. Simple outfit for a busy morning - although it was my day off I had to dial in for a very important yet short meeting that morning while the kids watched PJ Masks to keep them quiet 😂I picked the city bag instead of the baby bag to use for the day out with the kids, it easily holds all the water bottles and things you need to bring. I did forget to put tissues or wipes in my bag though. Which would have come in handy when my son stacked it on his bike and bled profusely all over the pavement. A lovely mum with her toddler (and fully stocked baby bag) having a picnic nearby offered us some baby wipes which was so helpful. Thankfully we didn't need to utilise the first aid kit in the car as my son felt better by the time we got back to the car park, and everything was easily cleaned up when we got home.
Last worn: striped tee (above), marble necklace, black ruffle hem maxi skirt, Converse (above), Balenciaga sorbet city.
Other ways to wear: black ruffle hem maxi skirt and graphic tee, Converse and skinny jeans, Balenciaga sorbet city worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: Converse in third trimester, Balenciaga sorbet city in second trimester.
How You Can Wear It:
A striped tee is a staple wardrobe basic! It's easy to wear too. Keep things monochromatic by wearing pieces that match the stripes, or add more colour with bright layers. A striped tee is something that works well with shorts and skirts!
I like both ways how you style that tee. And I can't believe that spring starting, because we are almost in winter.

Striped tees are the best!! Love the way you style it up always:)
ReplyDeleteI love both outfits on you Mica. I love stripe tshirts and you are wearing all of my favorite colors. Enjoy the end of the week and weekend.
ReplyDeleteWOW! Cute bags/ I love all of them )))
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness, kids and bikes! Glad your son is okay - how sweet of that lady to help you.
ReplyDeleteI am a fan of stripes, but I have an issue with prints that don't photograph well - they look blurry to me - so I have stopped buying them for myself. I like a wider, bolder print for me.
You look lovely in both of these outfits - I love the yellow in the first outfit, and the classic simplicity of your second one.
Happy nearly-the-weekend, Mica! I had to look up what an Ooshie was!
yes I'm glad she was there to help! It wasn't too bad of an injury in the end!
DeleteSo cute! I love my collection of striped tees, I feel they're so versatile! I need to wear them with a skirt more often, tho!

What a great buy that black and cream striped tee was, and it has immediately proved its versatility by looking great combined with the shorts as well as the maxi skirt! Ouch about your son's bike incident. I'm glad to hear it wasn't as bad as it looked! Had to look up Ooshies ;-) They do have these crazes here too, and used to collect them when Jos's grandchildren were younger. Have a great weekend, Mica! xxx
ReplyDeletehaha yes there are so many collectible crazes in our supermarkets here! My boys love them though!

ReplyDeleteSorry to hear about your son getting a bloody knee when he fell from the bike. It's good a fellow mum was able to supply the wipes. All is well that ends well as they say. Being a mum is definitely a full time job.
ReplyDeleteI do like both of these outfits. I agree with you- a striped tee is a great classic. I love it in the first look with the yellow cardigan and it looks perfect paired with a maxi in the second styling.
Yes I definitely won't be without wipes now! I'm glad that other mum was there to help :)
DeleteLove how you styled this striped shirt!

You have a fab collection of bright bags! Striped tees are such a stylish and versatile wardrobe staple. I have at least 3 of them that look similar to your cream and black tee and I get a lot of wear out of them as well.
ReplyDeleteI do love my colourful bags!
DeleteStriped tees are the best! I love your second look especially because of the pop of color with the bag.

I'm a big fan of stripes, they can just be so fierce and elegant at the same time <3
ReplyDeleteLackaDaisy
I love a classic striped tee, I don't think you can have too many! That black and white one with the black maxi skirt is such a great combo, and I love that pretty pendant necklace too!
ReplyDeleteBoth looks are so cozy! I really love how you colorblocked the first one and then kept the second outfit neutral and comfy. Your hair looks amazing, Mica! I am loving the shoots you do with nature in the background. Super pretty! It looks pretty sunny there too :D xoxo
ReplyDeleteI've been trying to take pics when we are out and about to change up my backgrounds a bit, but it depends on my kids being willing to take pics of course, haha! Sometimes they just don't want to take pics.
DeleteI can't pass up a tee for a $1 no matter how many similar ones I might already have!
ReplyDeleteThanks all for your lovely comments :)
