Why I wore it:
This was a busy, but fun day! Had the usual school run, helping in my son's classroom, some time working from home before school pickup in the afternoon, and then shopping with my sister after I picked the kids up. We both only needed to grab a couple of things, but since she was near the bayside area she called and we decided to do our shopping together, and then have dinner. Was a very productive day. With the deep purple tee and black Nobody Denim skinny jeans and black Converse, this was looking like a very dark outfit! I thought that the Chloe Marcie lightened it up a little, as did the gold necklace which was a nice bit of matchy-matchy with the hardware on the bag, even if it's slightly different shades of gold. I added the kimono to brighten the outfit up even more, although the purple tones in the tee and print are very different I thought they worked nicely together. Even if it was a little bit warm in the middle of the day, I was thankful for the kimono when things cooled off in the afternoon.

Why I wore it:
Another working from home day while the kids were at school, and a very chilly start to the morning! I did wonder if this kimono was going to be warm enough, but thankfully the day heated up a little. Another pair of black skinny jeans as well - these were just $1 and in my size at the opshop so I couldn't say no! Good denim is hard to find, especially when you're petite like me so I was thrilled with these!Added the bright red tee - very bold and colourful with the black - not just because it matched the red flowers in the floral print of the duster, but because it would help ensure my son saw me at school. He was getting given an award and I wanted to show up at the ceremony and surprise him. He definitely had no problems noticing me!
Ended up taking this bracelet stack off when making a lot of noise at my desk trying to type up meeting notes! But I did like how the faux pearls matched the freshwater pearls on my tassel necklace nicely, even if they weren't the most practical choice for a day at my desk with lots of note taking!
Last worn: tropical floral duster, red tee, pearl and tassel necklace, bracelet stack, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Chloe Marcie bag (above). First time I've worn these jeans as they were a summer thrift find.

How You Can Wear It:
Colourful printed kimonos are a great layer to add before the temperatures get too cold! They provide a lot of extra print and colour to a classic jeans and tee outfit.
