What I wore:
Dress: Kmart teal tropical notch neck floral maxi dress
Shoes: Wittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Disney Couture Winnie the Pooh bangle
Bag: Chloe periwinkle small Paraty
Why I wore it:
Wore this for my son's first school birthday party! We'd invited the whole class so we could get to know everyone outside of school pick up times, and as they'd started school in February, my son was still learning the names of everyone in his class. We had it at our local park and I got an entertainer from Fly By Fun to keep the kids amused with party games and magic tricks. He was awesome and all the kids loved having a ninja at the party, especially my son!It was a funny day where it was supposed to rain (and had stormed a lot the evening before) so it was touch and go if the park venue was going to go ahead. Luckily there was not a drop of rain all day, although it ended up being very hot and humid. This teal maxi dress was a nice light option for such a hot day, and since it doesn't have pockets I picked my Chloe Paraty bag to wear as it fits all the essentials and my camera as well. Had to have my phone nearby in case people had trouble finding our party. We had it at a bigger local park that wasn't damaged by the floods like the smaller venue we picked and had on the invites, but it meant there were a lot of parties going on in different areas! We put our bubble machine on to help people find us that worked well too.
It was such a fun day - my son loved having all his friends there and it was nice to meet some of the parents of children my son plays with at school that I'd never met before! I'd been a little worried people wouldn't be able to find us, or we would be rained out, or I wouldn't have enough food or party bags, but it all went perfectly on the day.
Last worn: teal floral maxi dress, gold charm necklace, gold bracelet, studded sandals, Chloe Paraty bag.
Other ways to wear: teal floral maxi dress on Christmas day, studded sandals and little black dress, Chloe Paraty bag and denim skirt.
Perfect for pregnancy: studded sandals in second trimester.
What's In My Bag: Chloe Small Paraty
What I wore:
Necklace: Ruby Olive Art series long striped pod necklace
Dress: Shein navy flower print flowy dress (c/o)
Shoes: Novo Tawny rose gold sandals
Bag: Chloe periwinkle small Paraty
Why I wore it:
Wore this for another kid's birthday party! We had a busy morning with books due back at the library too, and since it was such a hot day and a backyard party I wanted a nice dress that would cover my shoulders in the sun. While it's long sleeved this viscose dress swing dress is nice and light so it was good in the heat. I wasn't sure if this beaded necklace would be too much with the dress but I think it worked well with the colours, and it worked as a conversation starter at the party as I hoped it would! The party was really well organised and my son had a great time playing with his friends from school.I picked my Chloe Paraty bag to wear again as it fits all my essentials and my son's water bottle. Although the rose gold sandals are a different gold tone I liked that they were a metallic like the hardware on the bag too, for a little bit of almost matchy-matchy.
Last worn: navy floral swing dress, blue earrings, statement beaded necklace, rose gold sandals, Chloe periwinkle Paraty bag (above).
Other ways to wear: navy floral swing dress and blazer, rose gold sandals and orange dress, Chloe periwinkle Paraty bag and printed shorts.
How You Can Wear It:
Floral dresses are an easy one-and-done outfit for a birthday party. Maxi dresses and swing dresses in lighter fabrics are lose and comfortable enough for hot autumn days that really feel more like summer!
Hope you have a wonderful Easter if you celebrate!
