What I wore:
Tee: Jeanswest Sophie navy v-neck tee
Skirt: thrifted no label rust ruffle tiered skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC in aquamarine with python embossed leather (get it in pink)
Why I wore it:
I loved this outfit! I'm so glad I thrifted this skirt at the opshop for just $1, every time I wear it it makes me smile. Kept it super simple for a busy day with a plain navy v-neck tee and Converse. It's not the first time I've worn this skirt with Converse, it's a really cute combination. Blue and orange work together so well, this navy tee was the perfect topper for the skirt. The Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag in aquamarine was a great pop against the rust skirt, I really liked that combination also. Nice easy outfit for the school run, working from home, and then taking the kids out shopping in the afternoon to get a present for a birthday party the next day.
Last worn: navy tee, beaded necklace, orange ruffle skirt, black Converse, aqua Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC.
Other ways to wear: navy tee and olive shorts, orange ruffle skirt and denim jacket, black Converse and jeans, aqua Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC and printed culottes.

My Blue Handbag Collection:
What I wore:
Necklace: navy and silver circle pendant tassel necklace
Tee: Jeanswest essential v-neck tee in marigold
Shorts: Jeanswest Trinity Bermuda denim shorts
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Balenciaga first bag in 2006 Blue India
Why I wore it:
A very different shade of orange! This marigold tee is quite bright against this navy floral duster. While there isn't any orange in the print of the kimono I think the orange still goes well with it due to that navy background. Wore my Bermuda denim shorts again which have been getting a lot of wear recently! Despite it being autumn and a very wet and rainy day, it was still a humid morning that called for shorts over jeans. I did end up changing to jeans in the evening though when we went out for sports, as it was a little chilly doing school pick up in the afternoon.Despite the bright orange of the tee I thought this outfit could use a little more colour, so went with another of my turquoise bags, this cute Balenciaga bleu India first bag. I like this floral duster and the first bag together, I've worn them together before.
Last worn: tropical floral print duster, navy tassel necklace, marigold tee, Bermuda denim shorts, New Balance sneakers, Balenciaga turquoise First bag.
Other ways to wear: tropical floral print duster and denim skirt, marigold tee and culottes, Bermuda denim shorts worn 30 ways, Balenciaga turquoise First bag and pink dress.

ReplyDeleteHave a good week, my friend!
your Balenciaga bag is y crush. I absolutely this style/type of bag, it's so cozy and you have it in perfect size. the color here enhances everything so much, it's basically is elevating the whole outfit. well yeah I also probably a thing for turquoise lately.
ReplyDeleteas for your question from blog regarding keeping up with the news: eah, I have tons of news lately but I promise no more surprises. We actually had to move fast with all the things and I did take a week of blogging completely to set up the move, actually travel and such. We were in a hurry because of my pregnancy. I am blessed with a bump on a smaller size but I am actually 33 weeks pregnant already so we wanted to set up home while I can still be active about it. Also our dogs are joining us a little later on with a separate flight which actually makes things SO much easier. And my husband Max helps a lot with everything (he actually does most of the stuff) while still working full time, it's pretty awesome how much you can push yourself when you actually feel the need and is able to be flexible about your schedule, making work purely task-based. We also changed our active hours a bit, it helped a ton. It is surprising how much you can do if you slack less and wake up earlier. It works even for me which is surprising because the main downside of pregnancy for me is having to sleep more, it's a pain to loose two hours of your time per day in a blink of an eye.
P.S. thanks for weekly link roundup, always helpful to pull it together and finally post things.
You have so many exciting things happening in your life, completely understandable you would take a blogging break! It's awesome you had all the energy for that so far along too, haha! I can't wait to see all the fun things you have planned, and it's so good hubby is so supportive and helpful for you!
DeleteI like the brightness of the second shirt. It's almost the shade of my sheets.
ReplyDeleteI really like both shades of orange, and the silhouette of that skirt is fabulous Mica!! You just gotta love those deals, like $1. We have that at our Goodwill stores on Thursdays for certain color tags
