What I wore:
Necklace: Lovisa silver love knitted heart pendant necklace
Top: H&M mint v-neck cami
Skirt: JayJays distressed denim mini skirt from my sister's wardrobe
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather
Why I wore it:
I absolutely loved this outfit. I feel it looks a little off on the pics because I didn't tuck the cami into the skirt, and I probably should have tucked it in, but wearing this I liked the long loose lines of the untucked top and the tie dye kimono. I thought the navy tie dye looked so good with the mint cami too, and the colours of the deep teal Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag complimented the outfit so nicely.I would have liked different shoes with this but stuck with comfortable sneakers for a very busy day with lots of running around. Had my second dose of Pfiiizer which I was pretty excited about, given us 30 year olds were only eligible to get the vaccine in August in Australia. It's good to be as protected as I can be now. God bless science!
After my vaccine appointment, my youngest son and I had a party in the park to attend while hubby took my eldest to a bowling birthday party. Thankfully I didn't experience as much arm pain this time with the second dose as I did with the first dose, but by the end of the night I was exhausted and went to bed early. Had a pretty rough night with fever and nausea, and wasn't feeling the best the next day, but after that day of feeling horrible the side effects passed which was awesome.
Last worn: earrings, tie dye kimono, knot necklace, mint cami, New Balance sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag. First time I've worn the denim skirt as it was from my sister's wardrobe clear out earlier in the year when it was too cold to wear it.
Other ways to wear: tie dye kimono and yellow, mint cami and printed jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag and maxi dress.
Rebecca Minkoff Love Too Bag Unboxing:
What I wore:
Necklace: House of Harlow 5 station necklace in black and silver
Camisole: New Look orange strappy cami top
Shorts: Jeanswest Sara distressed hot short
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather
Why I wore it:
I was glad I'd pre-planned this outfit in advance as I was pretty tired this morning but we again had a big day planned - after the school drop off for my eldest, my little one had his sports class, we had lunch and a playdate, and then sports again for both boys after school pick up in the evening.Realised while outfit planning in my wardrobe I hadn't worn this cami in quite some time and with a 30 degree day something light like this was the perfect outfit. While there isn't any orange in the pint of this kimono - just mustard and red - I loved the way the two pieces looked together. The bright orange helped me feel I looked a lot better than I felt too! And with all the black in the print the black shorts seemed like the best choice, especially for running around with my son at the playdate.
Again I wore the Rebecca Minkoff deep teal Love Too bag - I thought it complimented the colours of this outfit too and it really pops with the orange cami! Just like it did last time I wore it with orange.
Last worn: Aztec print kimono, orange cami, necklace, black denim shorts, New Balance sneakers, Love Too bag (above).
Other ways to wear: Aztec print kimono with purple, orange cami and printed jeans, black denim shorts and stripe tee, Love Too bag and pencil skirt.

How You Can Wear It:
A printed kimono is a fun topper with a plain block colour camisole top. Add in denim shorts or skirt and you have a staple spring outfit.

I love both of these outfits, the one with the denim mini skirt and the one with the shorts. The combination of the kimono with denim and tops looks nice. The blue tones in the first outfit are really cool and I like the bold orange top contrast in the second outfit. It's lovely you feel more protected now.
ReplyDeleteyes it's good to finally have those vaccinations, we had to wait a while for them in Australia!
DeleteGorgeous kimonos, Mica. The cobalt blue is absolutely perfect for our summer by the ocean. Enjoy a new week :)
ReplyDeleteThat first look is my fave because I all shades of blue and pop of green! Perfect layering look for a warmer day. Thanks so much for the link up Mica!

I like kimonos very much and yours are really beautiful, especially the second one.
ReplyDeleteKisses
It's lovely to know the warm weather is arriving to Australia for you to enjoy! It's become much colder here in the UK now. Your outfits are lovely! Have a wonderful week ahead...

These outfits are both so summery and flow so nicely together.
ReplyDeleteYou always seem to have some very busy weekends! Your denim skirt reminds me that I should wear mine: I have many ideas for fall with it. I just haven't been in a skirt mood lately!
ReplyDeletewww.chezmireillefashiontravelmom.com
Yes we have certainly been making the most of the weekends lately, such good weather! Glad I could remind you about your skirt :)
DeleteBoth of these outfits are super cute! The first is my favorite! Your blue kimono is so pretty!

Glad to hear you have both shot now. I felt horrible after my second shot as well. Hope you are doing well.

Yes I knew to expect it but still felt bad - I'm lucky it didn't hang around too long though and I feel much better now!
DeleteThe two outfits are both absolutely marvelous. The orange shirt is also beautiful, Mica.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a nice week!
These are both great outfits, Mica! You know how I love kimonos. I really like the tie dye one and it pairs beautifully with mint green and that cute denim skirt. I also really like the bright bold colors in the second outfit. You look fantastic, my friend!
ReplyDeleteShelbee
Such lovely bag!!! That's just perfect to pair with miniskirts or shorts!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your outfits look very cute, Mica!

ReplyDeleteYour kimono collection is really something else, Mica:) And yeah...I got super ill too when I got my second dose, but so glad to be fully vaccinated!
ReplyDeletePS Hope you're doing well, and I'm so sorry again for your loss. (((HUGS)))
Thanks Emmy. It was such a sudden unexpected loss so hit us hard. On a lighter note I'm definitely feeling good to be vaccinated!
DeleteThat denim skirt looks so fabulous! I really love the tie-dye kimono over top as well. It is such a bold piece and looks incredible on you! SO SO glad you were able to get the second dose of your vaccine. God bless science, indeed! I'm glad you were able to make it through the side effects and now are feeling better. It is all worth it in the end! Love the second outfit as well. That orange coloured top is so stunning and pairs perfectly with that kimono. I hope you have a fantastic week <3
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
It is such a great kimono! And yes, so glad the horrible side effects were short lived, and I'm as protected as I can be now!
DeleteI love both of these outfits, Mica! Kimonos are such an easy way to dress up almost any outfit. I’m sorry you felt so bad with your second vaccine, but yay for being fully vaccinated!

Yes I knew to expect it as everyone seems to get it harder with the second shot but I'm glad it's over with and didn't last long!
DeleteI love both outfits. You look fantastic as usual.
ReplyDeleteAnd yay on getting your second shot!
Both great outfits! I adore that bag, it's the perfect daytime crossbody x

Exciting! Hope you don't have any bad side effects!
DeleteGlad you got your second Covid shot, it is good to feel another protective layer of safety. These are two really cut outfits this week! Your kimono collection is stellar and the denim skirt is so cute and versatile. I reach for mine a lot, these days. Hope you have a good week and thanks for the link up party!

DeleteI'm glad the weather is warmer here as I expect to be reaching for this skirt a lot too, it's a really fun piece for spring and summer!
Very cute outfits. Love that bag! It is the perfect color of blue.
ReplyDeleteGreat, cool. The handbag is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week.
I absolutely love the kimono, the shades of blue are gorgeous and work so well with the outfit. And the sunshine too! Lovely looks.
ReplyDeleteSeems we have been sharing weather in September, although we were in two different seasons!
ReplyDeleteMy favourite of your two outfits is definitely the second one, with its funky pop of orange.
I'm glad to hear you are fully protected now. I did suffer more from my second shot as well. While I didn't have fever, I felt quite tired and nauseated. I'm glad that your side effects didn't last too long!
Wishing you a great week Mica! xxx
Yes it's a shame the side effects are worse with the second but I'm glad I have it now and they didn't last long! It's nice when our weather overlaps too!
DeleteYou look amazing my dear!
ReplyDeleteAs always you are rocking all of your looks. We had a warm (but damp) weekend. It is going to be decidedly chilly today (top of 13 or 14).
ReplyDeleteThe orange does go with the 2nd kimono as the red reads orangey with orange right there. And sometimes you just need sneakers for a busy day. Yay on the 2nd vax.
ReplyDeleteI love that orange top! So glad you got your second vaccine! It's such a relief to be fully vaccinated!

It is indeed, we had to wait so long for them here!
DeleteJust me - but I do think that the untucked top looks better with a kimono.
ReplyDeleteI do love the long loose lines of the first outfit but the cami in the second is longer than the shorts so definitely needed tucked in, haha! Petite girl probs!
DeleteI love the bold colours and patterns. They can really make your outfit look incredibly fun and stylish. I hope you are having a great October season.

I just love the orange top with the kimono Mica. It's the perfect example of how the color doesn't have to be in a piece for it to go with something else.

LOVE the orange top with that kimono - this is the power of "going" vs. matching! That's a stupendous pairing, Mica, well done!
ReplyDeleteHooray for seeing you getting your jab! VV is the way to go!
I'm glad I gave it a go, I really like it! Trying to break away form my matchy-matchy tendencies so much, haha! So pleased I'm fully vacced now too!
DeleteYour outfits really are convincing me how versatile kimonos are, Mica! I need to get one!
ReplyDeleteI hope you are having a great week so far!

ReplyDeleteI love that orange cami! You definitely should wear it more often!
ReplyDeleteSo excited that you're able to get your second dose! It felt incredible to finally have mine back when I got it, even if I did have moderate flu-like side effects the day after.
ReplyDeleteYes we waited a while here in Australia, so pleased I'm double vacced now! My side effects were bad, but thankfully brief.
DeleteLOVE this outfit lovely. x

Hello Mica
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that you've already had the second shot of the vaccine! I also had these side effects!
I love kimonos so I loved your looks and I agree with you the first look is prettier, always with very nice bags!

yes it's a shame so many people have those side effects but it's good to be vaccinated!
DeleteLovely outfits, Mica! Two weeks ago my daughter bougth a blue bag like yours, just a little smaller ... even if not of the same brand 🙂
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the warm weather ☀️
P.S.: glad to hear you are fully vaccinated 😷
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your comment on my "Classy shorts" look, Mica! I find them so atemporal and the bow belt is so comfy and chic! I also have some other shorts with bow belts that you can find in my "looks" section on the blog if you want to dive through ;) I also like your vichy face mask and I think your kimonos add an extra of style to your looks! ;) Happy week! Kss

So sorry you were under the weather after your second vaccine. I was pretty fortunate. Not terribly sick either time. Hope I am as lucky with the booster.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty color combinations in these two looks. I love a kimono. I think all of mine have a print or pattern. That blue print kimono is so nice with the seafoam cami. I just bought some navy suede flats that sure would look cute with that outfit!!
We haven't even had conversations about boosters - but I hope I don't get sick if we do decide it's needed and there are enough vaccines for us to have them. So few vaccines in Australia!
DeleteBeautiful outfits and you look great! Especially blue one with bag looks perfect! What a beautiful and peaceful blue color. Thanks for the review. Happy October.
ReplyDeleteYes to that bag...love it!
ReplyDeletehttps://www.comfycozyup.com
Glad that you have completed your vaccination. Here, we are talking about the 3rd jab (booster). That is a nice handbag.
ReplyDeleteNot enough vaccines here for that to be talked about, but maybe soon? So few of us are fully vaccinated, maybe by the end of the year more of us will be able to be.
DeleteThe skirt and orange top love the color.
ReplyDeleteYour kimono styles are so fabulous, Mica! I truly love seeing the different designs you buy and share on here.

It's good that your vaccine side effects passed quickly!
ReplyDeleteI also love both outfits. You always style kimonos so well :)

ReplyDeleteIt does feel good indeed (once those side effects pass, haha!)
