What I wore:
Dress: Jeanswest 'Chelsea' printed dress
Shoes: Wittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus silver and turquoise bracelet stack set and old blue wood bead bracelet
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Regan Satchel Tote in moon
Why I wore it:
Decided to wear the Rebecca Minkoff Regan satchel with this blue printed dress as I needed something to hold water bottles and a few snacks for my son as we had a long but fun day of Christmas shopping planned with my sister. I'd picked this dress as although it's light it's got longer sleeves which work nicely to ward off the chill in the shopping centre aircon. It didn't appear that the aircon was working in the shopping centre though - or maybe it was just such a humid day it couldn't cope. Some stores were cool but walking through the main part of the shopping centre it was still quite warm.It wasn't the most productive or successful day of shopping, but my son and I had fun with my sister anyway despite the issues that continued after the aircon failed and we set another date (and a different shopping centre location!) to get more done. Won't be going back to that shopping centre in a hurry! It was one we used to frequent when we were growing up and it's between both our houses so it's a good almost mid-point meet up but I think we will stick to other ones.
Kept my accessories simple in the heat, my little gold studded earrings and some blue and silver bracelets were all I wore, decided to go without a necklace with the tassels on the dress tied in a bow instead.
Last worn: Jeanswest boho dress, gold heart studs, studded sandals, Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag.
Other ways to wear: Jeanswest boho dress and blazer, studded sandals and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: Jeanswest boho dress in second trimester, studded sandals in second trimester.
Handbag Collection and Storage:
What I wore:
Dress: Shein navy flower print flowy dress (c/o)
Shoes: Novo Tawny rose gold sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus Disney Couture Winnie the Pooh bangle
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff 2012 sky grey mini MAC bag
Why I wore it:
Tried to dress up a little for our annual Santa photo! Of course it looked a little different this year with COVID restrictions, you aren't actually allowed to get within 1.5 meters of Santa. Still took the opportunity to dress up and get a nice family photo for Christmas 2020!I picked this pretty floral print swing dress to wear as it's a light material, good for a hot day. It was an extremely humid day though and I kind of wished I'd picked something with shorter sleeves - while the long sleeves are a nice relaxed fit it still felt like a bit much with the heat. The curls in my hair didn't quite last the day either 😂 The red and blue in the dress did tie in well with the kid's photo outfits though!
The blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC wasn't quite a match with the navy dress, but I felt it was a complimentary shade and the gold hardware worked well with the gold sandals, bauble earrings and bracelets I wore to feel a little more dressed up for the photo.
Last worn: navy floral swing dress, gold bauble earrings, gold bangle, gold sandals, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC.
Other ways to wear: navy floral swing dress and denim jacket, gold sandals and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC with orange skirt.
How You Can Wear It:
It's easy to pick a handbag to wear with a printed dress - just chose one that matches a colour in the print of the dress. You can create a nice monochrome or tonal outfit that way depending on the colours of your dress.

I am anxious to see Santa photos this year and wondering how they'll look with Covid. Gosh, will it ever end?

I love both of these outfits, Mica! The first one is very pretty, and I love the sandals with it. The second outfit is perfect for your family photo! Your hair is gorgeous all curled up (I get it, mine does not last either!), and I think your choice of bag is perfect, because of that gold chain! love!
ReplyDeleteHave a good week, my dear, and thank you for the link-up!

DeleteBeautiful dresses, both of them. You always look so fresh and pretty.
ReplyDeleteI love how you choose a bag considering what you have to carry. I tend to forget that step, LOL!! Luckily my hubby will carry the things for me.

Both of those dresses are so pretty! Your hair is looking so long now, and I love how you styled it in the second look!
ReplyDeleteYou look so nice with your curls for the Santa photo! I'm not sure if we will be going this year-I think our rates are higher than yours though. I hope your kids enjoyed themselves and you got a good photo!
ReplyDeleteWe are lucky there hadn't been any cases for months in December so Santa photos continued with a few changes! Of course with two kids and a dog it wasn't a perfect photo but it was fun!
DeleteI wore a maxi dress this past summer and you mentioned have a dress in a similar print. This must be the one, the second dress you've featured, because it looks very much like my dress. And wow! You wear it so well. Both looks are very pretty and put together. Check out your green grass, too. Ours is just turning brown. Hope we will have a little snow for the holidays.
ReplyDeleteYes this is the dress! Such the same print! Even though very different style. We had so many summer storms and rainy days, our grass was soo green!
DeleteGorgeous in blue! Love your outfit and the accessories you've paired it with. Thansk again for visiting and leaving a comment. Hope you are doing well :)

those dresses are gorgeous! Thanks for the party!
ReplyDeleteHello Mica, I hope you're doing good!
ReplyDeleteI've been visiting your blog only for a few months but I have seen that you love blue and I'd say it is one of the colors that are so present in your blog and in your looks, am I wrong? It looks so good and I'd say it should be part of every closet :)
Both looks are great but my favorite is the first one cause it is casual and comfortable but stylish.... I totally understand that sometimes a bigger bag to carry all the necessary is better, yours has such a good design! At least you had fun together shopping, that's what matters :)
Pablo
Hey Fungi
very true Pablo, blue is my favourite colour!
DeleteHi Mica,

Very beautiful dress.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week.
I'm loving both outfits, Mica. Your blue dresses are both gorgeous in their own way. However, if I have to choose a favourite it must be the navy dress with its boho inspired print. I'm also loving the bag with its gold chain which you are wearing with it. I'm hearing you on the aircon, but can hardly imagine the need for it now that we are down to ... 2°C! xxx
ReplyDeleteI don't think it's ever been that cold in Brisbane, haha!

Both of these dresses are super cute, babe! Loving that navy RM bag, too!
ReplyDeleteOooh, I have been wondering about this production- I also love a stick foundation. And it's so amazing that this product gets BETTER the longer you wear it- that is so not the case with so many foundations!
