What I wore:
Necklace: layered Tai gold alphabet necklaces
Tee: Merry Christmas deer antler tee
Skirt: thrifted Billabong 'Don't Think Of It' bikini red printed maxi skirt
Shoes: thrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual plus Christmas ribbon bracelet
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Micro Bedford zip satchel in twilight
Why I wore it:
This was a busy day! After an event earlier in the day I got changed later that afternoon into this Christmas-y outfit for our annual trip to Movie World's White Christmas event. They decorate the theme park for Christmas, play Christmas carols and they even have fake snow falling. It's magical and I really missed it last year. While we had no restrictions on at the time or Covid cases, with everything that happened in 2020 I figured we'd skip the crowds that year. I definitely missed it though and was so glad we went this year! When my mum gave me this tee she made as an early Christmas present I knew that the red maxi skirt would be perfect for it. Added the delicate gold necklaces and the fun gold bauble earrings and it was perfectly themed for the evening! We had the usual backpack with all our water bottles so I picked this little Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford bag to wear as it fit all my essentials and my camera in it, although I didn't take too many pics in the end. The comfortable Adidas superstar sneakers were appreciated as we did a lot of walking around.
The kids managed to fit in quite a lot of rides before a storm blew in and the rides were closed for the rest of the night safety reasons. It worked out well though. We were able to watch the Polar Express movie the kids love so much in 4D and then grab some dinner before sitting undercover and watching the big parade at the end of the night, all great timing! Such a fun night.
Last worn: gold bauble earrings, gold initial necklaces, ribbon bracelet, red printed maxi skirt, Adidas Superstar sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford bag. First time I've worn the tee as my mum made it for me.
Other ways to wear: red printed maxi skirt worn 30 ways, Adidas Superstar sneakers and dress, Rebecca Minkoff micro Bedford bag and chambray dress.
Favourite Bag In My Rebecca Minkoff Handbag Collection
What I wore:
Dress: Kmart teal tropical notch neck floral maxi dress
Belt: came with dress
Shoes: Novo Tawny rose gold sandals
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Love Too in deep teal croc embossed leather
Why I wore it:
This is a much more subtle Christmas outfit! I've worn this dress for Christmas day before, with the teal and red it's very festively themed, but it's a dress I've worn at other times of year too. It's hard to see in the first pic with my hair in the way but I decided to keep it really simple and just add a pair of gold earrings and no necklace. I thought the rose gold sandals were a nice pairing with the gold earrings too!Although the deep teal of the Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag is a very different shade from the teal of the maxi dress, they are a nice pairing together. I really like wearing this bag with green and blue and I've been wearing it a lot recently! The black hardware means it goes with everything.
I also carried a little tote bag with me for the kids water bottles and some books to entertain them for church in the morning. There was a Christmas party after church in the evening too, although I was a little worried about the weather and possible storms. I even belted the dress to create a blouson effect with the top and make sure the hem stayed off the ground. Thankfully it was a rain free afternoon, although the winds picked up a bit later the storms held off until the kids were home in bed. This outfit is just perfect for both church in the morning and then a Christmas party in the evening!
Last worn: gold earrings, teal floral maxi dress, gold sandals, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag.
Other ways to wear: teal floral maxi dress, gold sandals and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff Love Too bag and jeans.
How You Can Wear It:
Christmas is a fun time to break out the red and green! A red maxi skirt and a Christmas tee is a great way to look suitably festive for summer, but you can go more subtle too by throwing on a dress that works for any time of year that has both green and red in the print.

What beautiful outfits. I love the color in the second outfit.
ReplyDeleteThat 2nd dress is absolutely beautiful: the color, the cut, it's perfect! Great for celebrations but also every day too!
ReplyDeletewww.chezmireillefashiontravelmom.com
Yes it's perfect at Christmas time but not too festive for other times of year! :)
DeleteEven though it is technically going to be winter this week, our weather feels much more like summer. What you're wearing is definitely what we need to be wearing - it is so hot!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a great week!

Hope you enjoyed the warmer weather! :)
DeleteOh, I am so glad you were able to go to the Christmas event. It sounds like it was a lot of fun. Festive activities and rides? What a perfect day! I love what you wore as well. That Christmas t-shirt is so beautiful <3
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
So strange to see that you are celebrating Christmas in the sun. Just like ours word for you to see that we are freezing here at Christmas. But have a fantastic one with your family!
ReplyDeletehaha yes it's summer so never snows here at Christmas time - not that it snows here in winter either!
DeleteSuch pretty looks! I love the color and print of that dress.

I like your Christmas outfits, especially second one. That blue dress is gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteIt's pretty strange to me to see summery outfits during Christmas holidays, here is all about snow, fireplaces and sweaters! ^^
ReplyDeleteBoth looks are very nice, anyway!
And, even if it may look less festive, my fav is the 2nd: that's a very beautiful dress!

I can't tell you how I envy you being able to wear summer outfits at Christmas. The one time we were in Argentina for New Years, it was like that, and I loved it.

So it looks good, the dresses are great.
ReplyDeleteTwo perfect outfits for early Christmas celebrations. Funnily enough, the second one is the most festive in my eyes! That dress is gorgeous and those bright tropical colours really suit you. I'm loving the first outfit too, that Christmas themed tee works a treat with that lovely maxi skirt. The earrings are so cute! xxx
ReplyDeleteBoth outfits are lovely, but since turquoise / teal is one of my favorite colors, I am crazy about the floral maxi. Your purse is perfect with it.

It is such a great dress and that bag goes with so much! :)
DeleteSuper cute outfits and that sounds like a really fun day at the Christmas event! It's fun to imagine Christmas in the summertime, so different than where I am. Also, for some reason, I haven't been able to join your linkup properly. It won't let me use photos from my website! Just thought I would let you know in case anyone else has had a similar issue.

DeleteLove both of your festive holiday outfits! So nice you and your family were able the go to a Christmas event-it sounds like it was great fun! Thanks for sharing and wishing you a very happy holiday!
ReplyDeleteNice outfits. Totally loving the dress :-D
ReplyDeleteMica, these outfits are both so cute
ReplyDeleteThese are both wonderful and beautiful outfits, Mica! So very seasonal, but not "hit you over the head" season, you know? :) The first one is awesome for a mom-on-the-go such as you. Glad you got to visit the Winter Wonderland and enjoy the fake snow! How fun! I have never seen "The Polar Express" (the characters look too uncanny-valley-ish to me).
ReplyDeleteLOVE the second outfit - the bloused effect from belting it is so awesome. Great bag choice - the colour is just right.
In case I don't see you - a very Merry Christmas to you and your family, my dear Mica. *big hug*
Oh I get the whole uncanny valley thing, it's not my favourite movie! But the kids love it so much, so that's what we watch each year, haha! Hope you had a lovely Christmas :)
DeleteI'd love to be able to wear such pretty dresses this time of year, but it's so cold and rainy even here in California! Happy holidays to you & your family!

Movie World sounds like a fun place to visit, especially to get to watch a movie while there! Love your festive outfit. Both of these are exactly what we would wear here in Florida for Christmas because it's warm still in December.
ReplyDeleteHave a great week! Merry Christmas :)

Yes it's such a fun theme park to visit, especially for the Christmas events! :) Enjoy your warm weather!
DeleteHello Mica
ReplyDeleteFor me Christmas is synonymous with very cold weather and warm coats, it's strange for me to look at your looks as being Christmas looks, but you look beautiful in both!
I wish you a happy holiday and a Merry Christmas!

Los dos outfits son muy bonitos, pero me quedo con el segundo, ame el vestido y el bolso, saludos:D
ReplyDeleteYou look great as always in these two outfits:) You really can't go wrong with that maxi skirt, and the teal dress with that teal bag looks so lovely even though they're not the exact same shade. That's great you were able to go to the White Christmas event as well. Sounded awesome!
ReplyDeleteAnyhoo, wanna wish you and the whole family and wonderful Christmas and New year!
Thanks Emmy, merry Christmas to you too!
DeleteI love both of these outfits! I am really impressed your mom made that tee! It's adorable! That teal bag is lovely and goes quite well with your dress.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have an absolutely fabulous Christmas...it's always so much more fun with little people rather than the large ones I've got!
