Wearing Camis in Autumn with Layers, LV Speedy and Skinny Jeans

In month 5 of #6MonthsWithoutShopping, I'm trying to pick things I haven't worn when I'm feeling bored and uninspired with my wardrobe. Last time I picked band tees, this time around I'm giving my cami tops some love. It's been a mild autumn here in Brisbane, but some days have been cool enough to layer, and that's when I wore these tops. Spaghetti straps and thick breastfeeding bra straps aren't the prettiest combination, so the layers hide that nicely!

What I wore:

skinny jeans, polka dot cami and red cardi knit LV speedy bandouliere autumn style | Away From Blue

Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere | Away From The Blue
SunniesRay-Ban new Wayfarers
JacketJeanswest long red drape cardigan
Necklace: Ruby Olive Softies Charlotte teething necklace
TopJeanswest 'Mia' cami in black
JeansJeanswest 'shale' super skinny jeans
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs black logo plaque ballet flats
BagLouis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere
Nails: OPI Rich and Brazilian

Why I wore it:

Some of the polka dots on this ruffle cami are red so the red cardigan seemed like a great layering piece. Had a busy morning rushing around running errands before getting back just in time for meeting the tradie to get some work done on the house. Long story short, some work we had done a couple of years back needed re-done. Not impressed. Anyway....

While I was sure about the pairing of the cami and the cardigan together, I wasn't too sure about the skinny jeans with it. The jeans are a purple-ish grey (you can see more of the purple in the last time I wore them here). I worried red and purple would look a little odd together but I think the jeans are subtle enough that it turned out nicely.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, red drape cardigan, polka dot cami, skinny jeans, Marc Jacobs tuxedo ballet flats, Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere.

Other ways to wearred cardigan tied in knot, polka dot cami for casual Friday, skinny jeans in the office, Marc Jacobs tuxedo ballet flats, Louis Vuitton Speedy Bandouliere and shirt dress.

Perfect for pregnancy: polka dot cami hiding a second trimester bump, skinny jeans in first trimesterred cardigan in second trimester, Speedy Bandouliere and maternity shorts.

Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
BagLouis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere

Why I wore it:

As much as I love this kimono, I was starting to feel it was getting a little repetitive each time I wore it and wanted to wear it with something completely different. I've never worn it with peach before so the cami was a way to try change it up a little.

I really don't think it worked though, with the ruffle on the cami giving it a bit of volume and then the voluminous kimono. I wasn't too sure that morning but decided to wear it anyway - as mentioned above I needed something over the straps and it wasn't quite cold enough for a thicker jacket.

Even though I wasn't loving my outfit, I did have a good day in this! We had some friends around and managed to actually talk a lot more than I expected too with two toddlers running around and interrupting. Keeping the boys occupied with snacks helped I think, ha!

How You Can Wear It:

Most warm weather pieces can easily be worn year-round with a few extra layers. Show off a pretty printed cami in Autumn with a colourful and cosy cardigan, or add some print to a block colour top with a printed layer like a kimono. You don't need to pack your summer clothes away as soon as the weather changes. Trying to wear things year-round means you get more value for money too.

Pregnancy Wardrobe Essentials - Review of Maternity Pieces in My Wardrobe

While I'm in the hospital with baby, I've set up a few scheduled posts.

As soon as I can I will be back to posting my usual daily outfits. Until then I hope you enjoy the little break and slight change of format.

First up, talking about my pregnancy wardrobe and the maternity pieces I wore through my pregnancy.

I had a total of 14 maternity pieces to supplement my existing wardrobe. I've included links below so you can see when I wore them, and how often I wore them. My goal was to buy as little maternity pieces as possible.

Tops:

Dresses:

Skirts:

Shorts:

Pants:

You can hear my thoughts and opinions by watching the video, but in summary:
  • I was lucky to have a lot of pieces in my existing wardrobe that worked well in pregnancy. Lots of flowy, loose, oversized and stretchy pieces meant I didn't need much maternity wear. I'll do a follow up post about the non-maternity items I found most helpful.
  • Maternity tops I found tricky to wear as the extra length swamped my petite frame.
  • Dresses were the easiest, most comfortable maternity wear option for me. Great go-to pieces!
  • The Asos maternity pencil skirts I bought were fantastic for work and I'd recommend them to anyone who has to dress for pregnancy in the office.
  • Jeanswest maternity denim is the only brand of maternity jeans I tried - perfect first time so I didn't try to look elsewhere.

I hope that you found this post useful, and that you can pass it along to anyone who might benefit from it :) Different from my usual posts, but I thought that laying out what I wore and how I wore it during my pregnancy might come in helpful for someone.

Rebecca Minkoff Canary Yellow Swing Bag, Jeanswest Maternity Tops and Denim Shorts

Baby has arrived, but I've got a few more pregnancy outfits scheduled to share on the blog. It gives me a chance to enjoy the newborn cuddles and adjust to life with two under 2!

Decided to carry my Rebecca Minkoff swing bag for a while, as I love the bright yellow colour. It looks especially good with denim, another excuse to wear my maternity denim shorts.

What I wore:

Away From Blue | Autumn 38 weeks pregnant outfit printed kimono maternity shorts singlet RM Swing bag

AwayFromTheBlue | Rebecca Minkoff Swing bag in canary yellow silver black bracelet stack
Jacket:  Somedays Lovin' Yakuza print kimono (on sale!)
Necklace: Happiness Boutique turquoise and coral pendant necklace (C/O)
TankJeanswest maternity tank in black
ShortsJeanswest Georgie maternity boyfriend shorts (available in non-maternity also)
Shoesslim gold Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual plus old beaded black bracelet stack
BagRebecca Minkoff Swing bag in canary yellow

Why I wore it:

When I got this kimono, I knew that the yellow Rebecca Minkoff swing bag would look great with it, with the yellow in the print! It's taken me a little while to get around to pairing them together though.

Had quite a quiet day, doing the daycare drop off / pickup and attending my OB appointment in the morning. Made some progress on pre-scheduling blog posts in the afternoon too. I want to have a few banked up as I'm not sure how long it will take me to get back into a little routine with blogging when I have a newborn and a toddler.

Last worn: Somedays Lovin' kimono, black maternity tank, Jeanswest boyfriend denim maternity shorts, gold Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff swing bag.

Other ways to wearSomedays Lovin' kimono and a maxi skirt, black maternity tank with blue and purple, boyfriend denim maternity shorts with green and laceRebecca Minkoff swing bag and skinny jeans.

More fun yellow bags under $200!

What I wore:

AwayFromBlue | 38 weeks green tee blue scarf yellow bag maternity denim shorts

AwayFromTheBlue | Blue green yellow outfit with Rebecca Minkoff Swing bag
TeeJeanswest Sonny maternity tee in lagoon marle (C/O)
ShortsJeanswest maternity rolled up shorts
Shoesslim gold Havaianas
BagRebecca Minkoff Swing bag in canary yellow

Why I wore it:

When I was thinking of another outfit this yellow bag would look good with, I thought about this green tee. While I liked the combination, I thought it was missing a little something so I added the printed scarf. The scarf has some yellow running through it too so it was an easy choice.

We spent the morning getting (or trying to get) the final few things for baby. Was a little shocked to find that our local baby store we bought almost everything from for toddler T had closed down! The store that took its place didn't have the same range which was a shame. At 38 weeks, I'm ordering a few baby things online and just hoping they show up in time...

Last worn: mixed print scarf, Jeanswest maternity tee, long denim maternity shorts, gold Havaianas (above), Rebecca Minkoff canary yellow swing bag (above).

Other ways to wearmixed print scarf in the office with a LBD, Jeanswest maternity tee and skinny jeans, long denim maternity shorts and a printed singlet, Rebecca Minkoff canary yellow swing bag and a maxi skirt.

Casual Post-Baby Outfits: Maxi Skirts and Maternity Skinny Jeans

Now that baby T has arrived, I'm blogging less regularly as life revolves around a newborn and I spend most of my days in pyjamas! But I do have to leave the PJs behind and get dressed to leave the house, and so whenever I do I'll share an outfit.

Here's what I wore to go visit family:
easy post-partum outfit grey maxi skirt teal jeanswest henley shirt converse

Marc by Marc Jacobs Fran handbag carob brown
Necklacevintage gold initial necklace
Shirt: Jeanswest 'Aubrey' pintuck yoke henley in deep teal (new purchase)
SkirtTarget grey marle maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual  plus Disney Couture Winnie the Pooh bangle
BagMarc By Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran bag with gold hardware in carob brown

This was taken about a week after baby's arrival - we were welcomed over to the in-laws for dinner. They very kindly suggested that we come over early, so we wouldn't be in a rush, and so that they could help look after baby for a few hours for us. It did take us about 3 hours to get ready and leave the house though, haha. At least we weren't late for dinner, as we had been planning to go over so early.

This top is one of my purchases from the Jeanswest 40% off sale before baby was born. It seemed like a nice easy option to wear, as the parcel had arrived a few days earlier. Probably could have used an ironing first, but I'm not beating myself up over it! Partially tucked the top in to the waistband of the skirt to try disguise the post-baby belly a little.

Last worn: grey maxi skirt, Converse, Marc by Marc Jacobs Fran bag. First time I've worn the top as it's a new purchase.

Here's what I wore to go on my first solo outing with baby and Cooper:
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Necklacecustom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
Shirt: Jeanswest 'Melanie' Stripe henley in black/coconut
JeansJeanswest maternity skinny jeans in black
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag (new purchase)
Stroller: Steelcraft Strider Compact (new purchase)

Another new Jeanswest top! Again, this one was from my sale order. When we were in hospital, we got many people offering to help with housework and food preparation, so my clothes were generously washed and ironed. The tops being new additions at the front of my wardrobe means I've gone for those first though, because I'm looking for easy outfits and getting dressed as quickly as possible.

Wore this simple black and white outfit to head out for the first time with Baby T on my own - just a walk to the grocery store with baby and Cooper - and then to spend time with my family who visited us in the afternoon.

Learnt from the previous outing to my in-laws, where I still had my handbag and ended up with so much to carry, and just carried my things in baby T's bag so there was less to hold!

Last worn: Ray Ban, Jeanswest maternity skinny jeans, Converse (see above). First time I've worn the top and bag on the blog as they are recent purchases.

Grey Tees Two Ways: Neutral and Colourful Denim Outfits with Silver Accessories

A grey tee is one of those staple wardrobe pieces to me. While I've cut down from 14 to 7 grey tees, I still think they are a wardrobe must-have. Especially as a stay at home mum, where a grey tee and blue jeans is a frequently repeated outfit.

The beauty of a grey tee is that it works with colourful pieces or with a monochrome outfit equally well, and you can see that in the outfits below.

What I wore:

grey tee with blush pink boyfriend blazer purple skinny jeans silver accessories | AwayFromBlue

purple skinny jeans, Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC | AwayFromTheBlue
Necklace: Nibbly Bits Abacus teething necklace in pop
Tee: Jeanswest 'Lucy' colour block tee in grey marle/rosebud
JeansJeanswest blackberry super skinny jeans
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs silver tuxedo flats (on sale!)
BagRebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC (on sale, 20% off!)

Why I wore it:

Was a little unsure what to wear on this day, had a playdate in the park with some new mum friends I'd met online. I figured a bright and colourful outfit would be easiest to be noticed for meeting up, so picked the purple jeans. I saw the pink blazer hanging up in my wardrobe when trying to put and outfit together and just had to wear that too. I really like pink and purple together. With all of the colour, the grey tee was the perfect neutral to sit in between.

The metallic silver mini MAC bag and ballet flats were great neutral accessories with the colourful outfit too. The only thing I didn't like about this outfit was that it turned into a really hot day. I quickly took the blazer off and after an hour in the park I was regretting the choice to wear jeans! The grey tee has a pink back too so I was still wearing pink and purple even without the blazer.

Last worn: Ray-ban Wayfarers, blush pink blazer, grey colourblock tee, purple skinny jeans, metallic ballet flats, silver mini MAC bag.

Other ways to wearblush pink blazer and LBD, colourblock tee and printed shorts, purple skinny jeans in spring, metallic ballet flats and chambray skirt, silver mini MAC bag and pink vest.

Perfect for pregnancy: blush blazer and third trimester office wear, colourblock grey tee in third trimester, mini MAC and maxi dress in second trimester.

More Metallic Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC Bags:

What I wore:

Somedays Lovin' Yakuza print kimono, grey tee, black skinny jeans and yellow necklace with silver accessories | Away From Blue

JORD Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch, Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver Mini MAC | AwayFromTheBlue
Necklace: Nibbly Bits Wilma teething necklace in pale daffodil
TeeAtmos&Here grey v-neck tee with rolled sleeves (also in black)
JeansJeanswest prima denim super skinny jeans in absolute black
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs silver tuxedo flats (on sale!)
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch C/O JORD
BagRebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC (on sale, 20% off!)

Why I wore it:

Same silver bag and shoes, but a different grey tee and a more monochromatic neutral outfit with only a little colour through the floral print on the kimono and the yellow teething necklace. It shows you how versatile these silver accessories are, that they work equally well with  neutrals and brights. Some people prefer gold over silver, but no matter your metal preference I think a metallic bag is a must-have, just as much as a grey tee!

This was a nice easy outfit for playgroup. While not as colourful as the pink and purple outfit above, I did like wearing this and thought the touches of yellow with the kimono and necklace were just enough colour with the black and grey. I wore the kimono to meet the #LBLforLess style challenge prompt of 'favourite floral' - it's frequently worn and easily my favourite floral piece! The jeans were also nice to wear, didn't overheat in this as it wasn't such a hot day thankfully.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer (above), floral kimono, Atmos&Here grey tee, black Prima skinny jeans, silver ballet flats (above), Rebecca Minkoff silver mini MAC (above).

Other ways to wearfloral kimono in summer with fitted tank, Atmos&Here grey tee and shorts, black Prima skinny jeans and leather jacket, silver ballet flats and pink leopard print, Rebecca Minkoff silver mini MAC and striped maxi skirt.

Perfect for pregnancy: floral kimono and maternity shorts, grey tee for second trimester travel, skinny jeans and belly band with an early bump, silver mini MAC and maxi dress in third trimester.

How You Can Wear It:

A grey tee is a wardrobe staple - it works so well with jeans, but you don't have to restrict it to just blue jeans. Try a colourful outfit with pinks and purple, or go neutral with black and grey. I've even worn a classic grey tee to the office with a blazer and pencil skirt - they really are a versatile must-have! Want more outfit inspiration? All the ways I've worn a grey tee.

Button Up Tanks and Colourful Spring Outfits With Prints

I love tank tops, they are essentials for our Brisbane weather. As the two outfit photos below show, they can be layered up for a cooler day, and worn on their own when it heats up. Perfect for spring with the fluctuating temperatures!

What I wore:

purple cardigan, printed sleeveless tank, Jeanswest grey cecile skinny jeans cuffed ankle boots | awayfromblue

faux fur pom pom charm, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum | away from the blue
JacketJeanswest Dana drape knit cardi in boysenberry
Necklace: Nibbly Bits BB plum silicone teething necklace (C/O)
TopJeanswest Florence print long line tank
JeansJeanswest Cecile dove grey skinny jeans
ShoesRMK Chester black ankle boots
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum (on sale in pink, 43% off!)

Why I wore it:

As I shared on instagram, this is the 30th wear of this cardigan. I bought it pre-blog so I know it's been worn more times than that, but I didn't have regular outfit photos then. I've been wearing it a lot lately as I was so eager to hit that 30 wear mark before proper spring weather arrived and it got too warm for this to be worn. It's the reason why I packed it to take to Sydney!

I've worn this tank and cardigan together before too. Since I loved this outfit pairing of the printed tank with purple skinny jeans, I've been recreating that with the purple cardigan! To try and make it a little different I picked grey jeans this time instead of the black jeans I wore last time. I had a much nicer day than I did last time I wore the tank and cardigan together!

We spent the day at my parents, decorating biscuits before lunch, which the boys loved as always! While all the purples are slightly different shades in this outfit, I loved wearing this and think it turned it really well. Comfortable for a day visiting my parents too.

Last worn: purple cardigan, printed tank, grey skinny jeans, black ankle boots, Rebecca Minkoff plum mini MAB tote bag.

Other ways to wearpurple cardigan and chambray dress, sleeveless tank layered for winter, grey skinny jeans with colourful cardigans, black ankle boots and little black dress, Rebecca Minkoff plum mini MAB tote bag and maxi dress.

Perfect for pregnancypurple cardi in first trimester, printed tank in third trimester, ankle boots in second trimester, mini MAB tote in second trimester.

Button Up Tanks Under $50:

What I wore:

TopJeanswest Helene sleeveless textured shirt in berry
JeansSass & Bide Playman skinny jeans
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum (on sale in pink, 43% off!)

Why I wore it:

A quick stop at the post office in the morning, then we headed to my local ABA mother's group. The discussion topic was 'managing a newborn and toddler'. While those days are behind me now and I have two toddlers (time flies so fast!) it was great to share the things that helped me and smile at the stories of things happening now and in the past that were so similar to my own experiences.

Unlike the rainy and cool spring day above, this was a much warmer day that allowed me to wear the sleeveless tank without any extra layers. I haven't worn this tank for a while, it's been sitting near the front of my wardrobe to remind me to wear it. The colour is incredible and it's one of those pieces it's so tempting to just 'save' for special occasions! I'm trying to get more wear from pieces in my wardrobe and enjoy what I own, so this top was definitely due another wear.

As I love pink and purple together, the purple accessories seemed like a good choice with this tank. I thought that the printed jeans would be a nice pairing with the pink tank too, to add a little more interest to my outfit.

Last worn: pink sleeveless tank, Sass and bide printed jeans, Havaianas, purple mini MAB tote bag (above).

Other ways to wearpink sleeveless tank in the office, Sass and bide printed jeans in winter, Havaianas in multiple seasons, purple mini MAB tote bag and little black dress.

Perfect for pregnancy: pink tank in the first trimester, Havaianas and maternity shorts, mini MAB tote and a maternity maxi dress.

How You Can Wear It:

A button up tank is a great stay at home mum staple! It can feel a little more pulled-together than a regular tank, but is just as easy to wear. Button up tanks are perfect for breastfeeding, without the need to buy anything special just for feeding and that have the added bonus of being able to be worn afterwards too!

Blue Skull Scarf, Stripes, Blazer and Maxi Skirt | Maternity Skinny Jeans and Boots, MbMJ Ukita Bag

Now that baby T has arrived, I'm blogging less regularly as life revolves around a newborn and I spend most of my days at home in pyjamas! Below are two of the chances I've had recently to get dressed and get out of the house, and had time to take an outfit picture.

Here's what I wore to take baby T for a checkup and visit Centrelink:
Alexander McQueen Skull Scarf stripe tank, maxi skirt blazer
Jacket: Zara black blazer
ScarfAlexander McQueen skull scarf in light blue (currently on sale!)
TankGlassons striped tank in black and white
SkirtJeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag (not in pic)

Tried to dress a little more like myself on this outing - I felt really dressed up with the blazer actually! Just carried all of my paperwork and things in the baby bag. So pleased we bought a large bag as I can throw my things in with everything needed for baby. And all of the paperwork Centrelink need...

Wasn't sure how my scarf would fare, but decided to wear it anyway and managed to keep this outfit stain-free. Although baby T did sneeze milk right in my face after a feed, it missed my clothes. Life with baby isn't very glamorous, but it is hilarious!

Last worn: Zara blazer, blue skull scarf, Glassons stripe tankjersey maxi skirt, Converse.

Here's what I wore to spend the afternoon with DH:
Jeanswest maternity skinny jeans and brown Asos boots 2 weeks post baby

Marc by Marc Jacobs Lil Ukita Bag worn cross body rock lobster pink red
Necklacevintage gold initial necklace
Top: thrifted Zara cream shirt (recent purchase)
JeansJeanswest maternity super skinny jeans in antique blue
ShoesAsos Cleo leather boots in tan
Bracelets: the usual
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster

Really liked this outfit! Got to carry my own handbag as baby T was babysat by family for an afternoon, which gave DH and I the chance to have a little lunch date together. We are lucky to have such helpful and supportive family. While it was nice getting some time out without baby, it was the longest we've been apart since he was born (he was just over 2 weeks old when I took this photo) and I did miss him a bit! Was nice to change out my handbag from the Marc by Marc Jacobs Fran bag I had my things in when I went into labour.

This Zara top is another one of my thrift finds from my op-shopping day as I filled my time waiting for baby's arrival. This is the first time I've been able to wear it as it didn't cover the baby belly before, hehe. The Endeavour Foundation store had a bunch of Zara items, so I ended up with a few things. Cheaper than flying to Sydney for a Zara fix ;)

Last worn: maternity skinny jeans, Asos brown leather boots, Marc by Marc Jacobs little Ukita. First time I've worn the top.

Wearing Summer Tanks In Winter With Colourful Scarves and Cosy Cardigans

One way to get the most from the pieces in your wardrobe is to wear them out of season. I've posted many times about how I keep the majority of my summer pieces in my wardrobe year round. When winter arrives, I still find ways to wear my summer tanks, just as like below with jeans and cardigans. There's no reason you can't wear florals in winter!

What I wore:

floral tank in witner with skinny jeans converse navy cardigan and purple scarf mini MAB bag | awayfromblue

Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum with faux fur pom pom | awayfromtheblue

ScarfMarc by Marc Jacobs mauve square scarf
Tank: no label floral and lace top
JeansJeanswest 'shale' super skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote in plum

Why I wore it:

Usually, I plan my outfits the night before. Sometimes I have a vague idea of what I want to wear, and fill in the gaps when I get up in the morning. I knew I wanted to wear this floral tank and jeans together with my cosy navy cardigan, I thought the neutral navy would look great with the purple toned jeans and the cream floral print tank. The scarf and handbag were completely last minute choices, but I think they really pulled the outfit together. I loved this outfit. This scarf always makes me happy when I wear it, a definite keeper.

This outfit was casual and comfortable for playgroup and then running a couple of errands with the boys. And since it wasn't as cold outside as it was last time, I felt suitably dressed to sit and chat with the other mums as I watched the kids run around and play outside.

Last worn: navy cardigan, purple scarf, floral tank, skinny jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB tote.

Cosy scarves are a winter essential! Here's my complete scarf collection:

TankJeanswest Elissa leaf print tank
JeansJeanswest prima denim super skinny jeans in absolute black
ShoesAsos Cleo leather boots in tan
BagRebecca Minkoff Love cross body bag in grey

Why I wore it:

This is one of those outfits that didn't seem to photograph well. While I don't think it looks like much in the photos I loved this outfit - all of the loose slouchy layers were perfect for a quiet Saturday. We spent most of the day at home, and then went round to my friend's house in the evening to watch the Church Online service together. I was worried it was going to be a chilly night, so I layered up. I was so warm for most of the night though, it definitely wasn't as cold as I expected it to be. We had a chilly start to winter, but it's back to being more average temperatures now.

The same outfit formula as the one above - skinny jeans, a summer tank layered out with a cosy cardigan, and a big scarf. I wasn't sure what scarf to wear with this - the leaf print on the tank has pink, peach, red and blue in it. In the end, I went with this burgundy and gold scarf. While it doesn't match the colours in the tank at all, I thought the foil feathers were similar enough to the leaves on the tank that it all worked well together. I threw the scarf on like this to try it out and I liked it so much I didn't wrap it around my neck like I usually do. Seemed to look better this way with the long cardigan.

Last worn: wool maxi cardigan, feather foil scarf, leaf print tank, Jeanswest prima skinny jeans, tan boots, Rebecca Minkoff Love bag.

How You Can Wear It:

Summer pieces can easily be worn into winter with the right layers. Jeans, cardigans, scarves and even ankle boots are a nice way to make a lighter piece winter weather appropriate.
