Green and gold for Australia day of course! Had to use accessories for the theme as I had planned to wear my French Connection silk skirt with this top, like I did on a previous Australia Day, but now the baby bump has grown I have to wear it quite high. Although I could zip it up wearing it above my waist, I worried it would be too short. Luckily my Jeanswest jeans were a good replacement, and I didn't have to worry about the breeze catching the hem of my skirt!
Very sad to have to put the skirt away in the "after baby arrives" box, but it frees up a little more space in my wardrobe. Space for clothes that fit to make it easier to get dressed each day!
If you're curious how the bump is going, I shared the below baby bump pic on instagram. Wearing my new Funkita cossie because it wouldn't be a proper Australia Day without visiting a pool or BBQ ;)
In the end I went for the 'Colour Love Stripes' over the peacock print, and I love it. I ordered a couple of sizes larger than my normal swimwear, so it fits me well for pregnancy. My other bikinis are currently living in the "after baby arrives" box, haha!
Last worn: Ray Bans, straight leg maternity jeans, thongs, Alexander Wang Rocco bag. First time I've worn the singlet as it's a recent purchase.
Here's what I wore today:
Sunglasses: Rayban new Wayfarers
Dress: Asos red leopard print dress with dipped hem
Shoes: Wittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus studded and chain link Oroton leather bracelets
Bag: Miu Miu cammeo studded clutch bag
Public holiday today, made it a lovely long weekend. Spent some time at home trying to organise my wardrobe and spring clean a little more, so I was just in shorts and a tank. Like a summer version of this 'tidying up' outfit. We are turning the spare room I use as a wardrobe into baby's nursery, so I have a lot more downsizing and cleaning to go. Going from 2 overflowing wardrobes into 1 is not an easy task, so whenever I get the urge to clean or tidy, I get right into it to take advantage of the mood!
DH suggested we take a break for lunch, so I made a bit of an effort and got dressed up in this to go out for lunch and catch a movie. Also had a friend pop by later in the afternoon and give me some advice for work tomorrow, which was lovely :)
Last worn: Ray Bans (above), Asos leopard print dress, Wittner studded sandals, Miu Miu clutch.
Linking up with Mix It Monday, Style Sessions, Trend Spin Linkup today.

Eeeep I didn't spend mine at either this year. I know I am so bad. Everyone else was away for the weekend so I stayed home and watched bad reality TV and ate Spag Bol. So un-Australian of me!

haha, well long weekends are for relaxing! :)
Deleteawh, no hiding it now! you look amazing mica :)) how do maternity jeans work, do they just have an expandable waistline? i've always been curious!
ReplyDeletesteph / absolutely-fuzzy.com
Thank you! :) These ones have an elasticated belly-band built in, and like you said, an elasticated waist you can adjust using some buttons as you need to let out more room, haha. They are so comfortable! :)
DeleteThat first outfit is my fave - you just look so chic and effortless! And the AW rocco!
ReplyDeleteAhh you bag collection must be the best I've ever seen!! So many gorgeous ones.

Oh no, you have to give up your closet room for the baby! That is going to be hard. Not that having a baby wont be wonderful but a closet room is pretty much the dream, right?
ReplyDeletehaha, it will be much more special to me being a nursery! :) Plus it's helping me be better at downsizing and being more strict with what we own and what we need to get rid of :)
DeleteOh that Miu Miu bag is glorious Mica and happy Australia day.
ReplyDeleteYou know, I read a while back that Australia and where I live have very similar plants and nature - and that kangaroos and koalas can easily adapt….
Oooh if I could send a kangaroo your way I would! :P
DeleteAwww!! So fun :)
ReplyDeleteThank you all for your lovely comments - and sweet compliments about the growing baby bump :)
