What I wore:
Necklace: Colette marble and gold pendant drop long necklace
Tee: Jeanswest essential v-neck tee in azalea pink
Shorts: thrifted Jeanswest distressed denim shorts
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual plus House of Harlow sunburst wrap bracelet in cobalt
Bag: Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull
Why I wore it:
We'd floated the idea of taking the kids to see the rainforest for a while - last time they had gone up Tamborine Mountain they were too small to remember it, and we thought they would enjoy one of the trails I liked growing up, the Curtis Falls trail in the Joalah section of the national park. It's just a short trail with a lovely waterfall and a bit of walking by the creek. We had a wonderful day and great picnic up the mountain, my only regret is that we did this near the end of the school holidays, as almost every day since the kids have asked when they can go back! This kimono is a firm favourite with pink, I've worn it with pink before so I was eager to try it with this new pink tee mum gave me for Christmas last year. I thought the kimono would add some nice sun coverage without being too overly warm for our little hike, although it was a few degrees cooler on the rainforest floor so I didn't mind the extra layer. The denim shorts were a good practical choice for a lot of walking, and the Louis Vuitton neverfull, while not the most comfortable thing to wear while hiking through some muddy paths and scrambling over rocks in the creek, was certainly big enough for snacks and water bottles for us all. I did wish I'd picked a more practical backpack though when I tried to scramble up a rock, slipped, and the bag swung off my shoulder and nearly knocked me over 😂 Luckily I stayed dry, even if I had a slight limp for the rest of the walk after trying to stop my fall by planting all my weight on my bad knee!
Last worn: blue printed kimono, pink tee, marble necklace, wrap bracelet, distressed denim shorts, New Balance sneakers, Louis Vuitton neverfull. First time I've worn the earrings as they were a Christmas present.
Other ways to wear: blue printed kimono and white shorts, pink tee and culottes, distressed denim shorts and purple kimono, Louis Vuitton neverfull worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: Louis Vuitton neverfull in second trimester.
Wear & Tear: Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Neverfull
What I wore:
Necklace: blush pink and gold beaded tassel necklace
Tee: Cotton On deep v tee in washed desert rose
Shorts: Jeanswest Heather Bermuda short in black
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bag: Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull
Why I wore it:
Again a pink tee and denim shorts - black Bermuda length ones this time though. We had another hike into the rainforest, up at O'Reillys, as it has been a good few years since I was last there and the kids had never been. I picked this kimono, another blue printed one, as it had popped up in my Instagram memories and I needed a cover up for my arms. It's a little cooler up at O'Reillys in the rainforest of Lamington national park, and we planned to do the bird feeding with the boys so I needed a little bit of arm coverage for that. The birds have pretty sharp claws and have no problems walking all over you to get to the bird seed you can buy for them - they are very tame for wild parrots! I even had one sitting on the edge of my Louis Vuitton neverfull at one point 😂Just as I liked the outfit above, I loved this copy of the outfit formula too. And again I wondered why it has taken me so long to take the kids up to somewhere I loved visiting when I was younger, as they keep talking about the birds and how much they want to go back! I'm quite happy to wait a little longer before returning though - the sometimes single lane roads up the side of a mountain with very steep drops is not the most relaxing drive, and my boys were far too fearless when it came to the treetop walk and climbing 24 meters up on the ladder to the lookout point. I am terrified of heights, they thankfully are not. But this meant I had to go up the ladder with each of them. I was shaking so much by the time we got down to solid ground! Definitely a day to remember!
Last worn: navy print shrug kimono, pink tee, blush tassel necklace, black Bermuda denim shorts, New Balance sneakers (above), Louis Vuitton neverfull (above).
Other ways to wear: navy print shrug kimono and jeans, pink tee and maxi skirt, black Bermuda denim shorts with stripes, Louis Vuitton neverfull and maxi dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: Louis Vuitton neverfull at 38 weeks.
Had such an amazing time at O'Reilly's in the school holidays! The boys loved feeding the wild birds and I was impressed with how much they did on the treetop walk! pic.twitter.com/D5LvyPesb5

How You Can Wear It:
Pink and blue is a fun colour combination, and as you can see from these two outfits, any shade of blue and pink work well together. A printed kimono over a denim shorts and pink tee outfit is a fun way to try this out.
