What I wore:
Necklace: Kmart rose gold and pink beaded necklace
Tee: Jeanswest essential v-neck tee in azalea pink
Jeans: Sass & Bide Playman skinny jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Chloe small Ethel bag in light khaki
Why I wore it:
This may be my favourite outfit ever with these Sass and Bide chevron print jeans. I've worn them with pink before, and with this purple cardigan before. The black Converse are a staple shoe choice with them. But this combination of all 3 pieces (and that great neutral Chloe Ethel bag) I really loved.I wasn't sure at first if this pink tee would work with this purple cardigan but I thought if it did work it would be a nice tonal combo, and I'm so glad I gave this a wear! I'd planned the outfit the week before but it turned out to be the perfect thing to wear for another day in lockdown. Instead of the school run and some time at the playground as planned, it was taking Cooper to the vets for an operation and a brief visit to the doctors. The cheerful colours really helped boost my mood! Thankfully Cooper is home recovering well from his operation. I'm so glad the vets were still able to see him even in lockdown.
Pink and purple are a combination I've always enjoyed, and I've worn this pink tee with a different purple cardigan before, and this cardigan with other pink pieces, but this reminds me I need to try wearing the combination more!
Last worn: waterfall cardigan, beaded necklace, pink tee, chevron print jeans, Converse, Chloe small Ethel bag.
Other ways to wear: waterfall cardigan worn 30 ways, pink tee and culottes, chevron print jeans and double denim, Converse and pencil skirt, Chloe small Ethel bag and maxi skirt.
Perfect for pregnancy: waterfall cardigan in first trimester, Converse in second trimester.
Unboxing: Chloe Ethel Handbag
What I wore:
Necklace: Kmart gold and navy beaded necklace
Tee: Cotton On The One fitted v tee in washed poolside blue
Jeans: Portmans pink leopard print skinny jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bag: Chloe small Ethel bag in light khaki
Why I wore it:
This bright and colourful outfit was again planned in advance. I felt it had been a while since I had gotten these pink leopard print jeans out, and a quiet Friday before the lockdown with not much planned other than the school run seemed like a good time to give them another wear. With the bright pink I thought the neutral navy cardigan and pastel blue tee would be another good tonal combo. Like the pink and purple above, pink and blue is another combination I really enjoy wearing. The Converse were another way to add even more blue to this outfit. And again, a good neutral bag with all that colour, the small Chloe Ethel. After snoozing my alarm a couple time I finally got up and ready for the day and came downstairs to find the wrapper for a bar of chocolate on the floor, all torn open. Not the best start to the day when I picked it up confused and noticed the bite marks on it - Cooper had at some point in the night helped himself to a bar of dark chocolate. One panicked call to the emergency vet later, and a few tears when she ran the calculations for a tiny Shih Tzu of his weight and the amount of (toxic to dogs) dark chocolate he consumed, we rushed him off so they could remove it from his stomach.
Thankfully he lived to tell the tale, and oddly enjoyed his charcoal medicated food for a few days. And all chocolate is now out of his reach! It seems like an bizarrely upbeat and cheerful outfit for such a stressful day, but I had no idea what I was going to stumble across that morning. Thank goodness he did leave the wrapper in such an obvious place and this had a happy ending!
Last worn: navy waterfall cardigan, blue v-neck tee, gold and navy beaded necklace, pink leopard print jeans, Converse, Chloe small Ethel bag (above).
Other ways to wear: navy waterfall cardigan and shorts, blue v-neck tee and maxi skirt, pink leopard print jeans with black, Converse and tee dress, Chloe small Ethel bag with black and red.
Perfect for pregnancy: pink leopard print jeans and hidden bump.
How You Can Wear It:
Printed jeans look great with basic block colour pieces like tees and cardigans. An ideal way to layer up in winter is to pick tonal colours from the same family for a monochromatic outfit that works with any print!
WOW...another fantastic collection!!
ReplyDeleteI especially love your zig zag leggings...they are definitely my style!😊😊
Have a lovely day.
Hugs xxx
Thanks, they are jeans :)
DeleteLove this color combos in both looks! Those leopard jeans are so cool. Glad you pulled them out again!

Ooh I love those leopard jeans! I'm not usually a fan of leopard print but those are just gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThe leopard jeans look so pretty! If you didn't state they were jeans, I'd thought they were leggings. Looked so cozy! I'm glad you knew right away that Cooper ate the dark choc from the marks on the wrapper. It's nice that the vets there are open during the lockdown. We're still having some type of lockdown here with a lot of daily cases. I'm not sure what's happening anymore but I'm glad the parks are open. LOL. I just keep a lot of distance and walk in spots with no people passing. Wishing you a lovely week ahead xoxo
ReplyDeleteI hope your lockdown gets lifted soon and things get safer for you! We are lucky here, the vaccines we should have got earlier are starting to arrive so hopefully lockdowns will be a thing of the past!
DeleteOh these are some cool outfits! I especially love that first one: what a cool contrast in color.

Oh, no, Cooper! What a naughty boy, getting into the chocolate! And to have an operation (are these things related, or separate incidents?) too - that must be so stressful for all of you! He must be getting up there in age for a Shi-Tzu?
ReplyDeleteLove your bright and bold outfits here, Mica! That pink and purple are just awesome. I am not sure that bag is the right colour for the outfits...but it's an awesome bag, and I love the gold hardware.
Have a good weekend, my dear! Big hugs to you. I hope your lockdown is over soon.
Unfortunately two unrelated incidents! Poor pup has had a really bad time of it lately! Thank goodness it seems to be over for now. I think a darker bag would have looked nice in both these outfits too :)
DeleteOh yikes! I’m so glad Cooper is okay. Very scary. I love both of these outfits, Mica! These are fabulous color combinations.

Oh no, Mica, I literally held my breath upon reading about Cooper's chocolate mishap! So glad you were able to get to the emergency vet on time!
ReplyDeleteOn another note, I am absolutely loving your first outfit and I totally get that this is your favourite outfit with those chevron patterned jeans. The pops of pink and purple are delightful with it! xxx
Yes we were so lucky as we have no idea when in the night it happened - we got him there in time!
DeleteThis bag is very amazing, and i thik many things come in *-*
ReplyDeleteHave a good day
Kisses!
I think waterfall cardis are so feminine. You look very stylish in yours and they really add interest to your looks. Always adorable!!
ReplyDeleteThey are a great option on cooler days!
DeleteGreat jeans with these cardis. I do love a good cardi :-D
ReplyDeleteOMG, Cooper has been quite the patient lately. I hope he's fine??
ReplyDeleteOur kitty has some kind of "bump" on her leg we just noticed, and might have to have something done about it.

ReplyDeleteThe print jeans are great.
ReplyDeletePrinted jeans are so cute! I can't wear them though since they tend to highlight every problem area that I have on my legs. I think you look super adorable in yours though, so I'll live vicariously through you LOL.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend, my friend!
They do draw more attention to legs than a plain pair but I bet you look great in them!
DeletePurple goes so well with pink. Perfection, Mica!
ReplyDeleteGlad Cooper is ok.
I love the jeans! Poor cooper though! I'm glad he's okay, they're such pests arent they? Our cat has given us heart attacks no end of times!

yes he's had such a run of it this year, so unlike him! Thankfully all has settled down now poor pup!
DeleteHello Mica, I hope you had a lovely week.
ReplyDeleteFirst of all I hope Cooper can get better, happy to read that you're making a great effort to take care of your little dog :)
And great options, even tho you're in lockdown and with some restrictions, it is really important to boost our mood with happy clothes (or with the clothes that can make you happy)). It is really necessary specially in times like these.... Those printed jeans are amazing, they could work with many colors as your proposals and even with a white t-shirt :)
Stay safe!

love the blue chucks! Sadly I cannot wear them but in my younger years I definitely would :) You look fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI bet you could rock them now too!
DeleteNice combination. They all look good on you.
ReplyDeleteI'm sooo glad Cooper is okay! I have a shih tzu/ Yorkshire terrier cross and being vegan, most of my chocolate is dark, and it's one of my biggest worries that he gets his little paws into some one day. You always stress about the little ones x

Yes it's so scary when it happens - he's never shown any interest in it before, but now we have to make sure it's all far far away from him as he seems to have developed a taste for it!
DeleteLovely outfits!!!
ReplyDeleteI liked your pants! I like patterned pants.
ReplyDeleteLooks cute and cheerful! :)

ReplyDeleteGlad you decided to go for the pink and purple together, I think it works really well!
ReplyDeleteit's a combo I need to wear more - I really love it!
DeleteLove all the bright colored outfits. I hope Cooper is better today. Lockdowns are really getting boring though. Happy weekend my dear Mica.

Yes I can't wait until enough people are vaccinated that we no longer need lockdowns to keep us safe!
DeleteLove your cheerful (and very comfortable looking) outfits. Glad that you got Cooper to the vet on time. Vet visits are traumatic and expensive here - and we do a lot of them too.
ReplyDeleteit's so sad when we have to visit them frequently but I'm always so glad we have the ability too!
DeleteThe two combos: pink tee + purple cardigan, and pastel blue tee + navy cardigan , look smashing!
ReplyDeleteGlad Cooper has recovered, and wish him to be well and happy!
The jacket in boysenberry is pretty. I've always liked this color in fashion, especially in the Autumn and Winter months. So glad you had a nice time out with friends last night. Sometimes we need to that. I'm sorry you're getting the smoky skies too in the Summers. It seems that we are getting these fires every Summer.
ReplyDeleteHave a peaceful and restful Sunday. It's starting to be my favorite day of the week. No bills, no schedules, just peace. : )
~Sheri
Hope your Sundays continue to be like that for a while - and the fires don't become as much a part of your life as they are here!
DeleteThe pink and purple together look wonderful! I am so glad the colours were able to boost your mood a little bit. That is the best part about clothing! It really can make you feel better. I am so sorry you dealt with so much stress, but I am SO glad to hear that Cooper is doing better. Sending you lots of love <3
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
We are so glad he's better too! And yes, it's nice to have fun with fashion and use colour for a mood booster!
DeleteNice outfits. I forgot chocolate is toxic to dogs, glad Cooper is ok.

Oh I do love your colour combinations of blue and reds and stripes. Dressing up always make me feel better too. I used to feed my dog with chocolates cos I did not know dogs are allergic to chocs. Thankfully he was OK with it. No more chocs for my dogs and Cooper too
ReplyDeleteMy in laws dog eats anything and everything (even non-food items) and is fine, but for a little dog like ours it was a lethal amount he ate. Thank goodness for the 24 hour emergency vet!
DeleteBright color combinations can indeed be such mood boosters. Good to hear that Cooper came out of his operation and the chocolate incident feeling fine. It sounds like you had a bit of a scare there.
ReplyDeleteThanks a lot =) I have 2 other Coke shirts and one with Sprite on it :D Love them.
ReplyDeleteNice post. I love cardigans, they're great for every season =) The purple / pink one would be my favourite.
Thanks my week and weekend was great. Hope yours too =)
That brown bag, transitions well. Nice cardigan.
