Both of these outfits feature a bright statement piece too.
Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
Necklace: Kmart rose gold and pink beaded necklace
Top: Dorothy Perkins 3/4 sleeve wrap top
Jeans: Portmans pink leopard print skinny jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff 2012 sky grey mini MAC bag
What I wore:
Necklace: Kmart rose gold and pink beaded necklace
Top: Dorothy Perkins 3/4 sleeve wrap top
Jeans: Portmans pink leopard print skinny jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff 2012 sky grey mini MAC bag
Why I wore it:
I haven't worn these fun pink leopard print jeans in over a year! I'm trying to stop passing over "special" things in my wardrobe and just wear them anyway, even if I do feel a little overdressed. We didn't have much on this day, the school run and a little walk around the neighbourhood with my youngest while my eldest was at school, but I felt these jeans were overdue a wear! They do make me happy each time I wear them, and I have worn them with this wrap top before. They look so good with blue! As it was a little windier than expected and threatening rain I added the denim jacket on top - the rolled up sleeves were the perfect length with this 3/4 sleeve wrap top.
The accessories were matchy-matchy too with the blue bag matching the blue wrap top and denim jacket, and the pink and gold necklace matching the leopard print jeans and the gold hardware on the bag! Really liked this outfit, even if it felt a little overdressed in the playground!
Last worn: denim jacket, blue wrap top, blush beaded necklace, pink leopard print jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag.
Other ways to wear: denim jacket worn 30 ways, blue wrap top and maxi skirt, pink leopard print jeans with grey, Converse and a dress, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag in monochrome outfit.
Perfect for pregnancy: denim jacket in second trimester, pink leopard print jeans and hidden baby bump, Converse in second trimester.
Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC vs Mini 5 Zip Bag
What I wore:
Dress: Kmart short sleeve textured dolman top in marigold
Pants: Jeanswest Cecile dove grey skinny jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff emerald green mini 5-zip rocker bag
Why I wore it:
Again I wore my Converse and skinny jeans, this classic neutral grey pair this time. The Converse were probably a mistake though, after the school run the little one and I headed off to check out a new trail and while much shorter than I can manage, the ground was very uneven and rough which was a lot of pressure for my injured knee. Probably should have worn my ugly but supportive walking shoes instead! And should have worn some mozzie repellent too, we both got bitten like crazy!Did like the way the Converse looked with this outfit though, and the grey skinny jeans with the black and white Chucks were great neutrals to let the marigold orange top pop. I like the way the skinny jeans balance out all the extra soft, cosy and slouchy volume of the dolman top.
To add just a little bit more colour I wore my green Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag with this - it really pops against the orange top!
Last worn: marigold dolman top, long chain necklace, grey skinny jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag.
Other ways to wear: marigold dolman top with green jeans, grey skinny jeans with leopard, Converse and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag and matching duster.
Perfect for pregnancy: Converse in second trimester.
How You Can Wear It:
Skinny jeans and Converse is a mum staple! For something a little different you can try introducing a statement piece, like printed jeans or a bright citrus top.
Such a beautiful outfits. I like second because that orange sweater is amazing. I would like to find the same for myself.

That's so nice that you're getting some nice spring weather - we're just starting the transition into fall and, while it is my favourite season, I have woken up every morning this week to an absolutely freezing house and that's been a little annoying.

nice outfits <3 greetings from Poland :)
ReplyDeleteLove the top in that first photo, looks so soft! And the color combos in both of these looks are great. The tealish green with orange is lovely. And oh no for the uneven ground!! It sucks having "old people" ailments, doesn't it? Ha ha. My knees haven't been too bad lately but my back hasn't been happy
ReplyDeletehttps://www.closet-fashionista.com
haha yes my knee is very fragile with it all, so frustrating! Hope you can improve your back strength! I've been working on my knee strength as much as I can at home! :)
DeleteI absolutely love the idea of choosing special pieces from your wardrobe and wearing them...even if you end up feeling a little overdressed. Better to be overdressed and feel fabulous! I absolutely love those leopard print pants and I am so glad you chose them. Your outfits are always so exciting and beautiful.
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
So true - I need to wear my special pieces more often :)
DeleteYour spring looks are so fun--I'm really liking the pink leopard jeans and hope you pull them out more often (I'd actually like to see them paired with the salmon top in your 2nd outfit.)
ReplyDeleteThat would be a fun combo! I will need to wear these jeans more next year when it's cooler :)
DeleteThose pink pants are amazing. Hope you are having a great week.

You look cute in both outfits Mica but I love the second one on you. You are lucky to be going into spring right now. We are enjoying fall right now. Have a nice weekend.
ReplyDeleteI am a Converse lover Mica! Your outfits are so beautiful.

Ooh, I love both of these casual outfits (and yes, they ARE casual, even if you felt dressy in them!). Mica, you are resplendent in both this wonderful blue and this gorgeous marigold yellow. I love the swap-out for the pink cheetah jeans! They really elevate it. I am envious of your dolman sleeves - that style looks horrid on me.
ReplyDeleteCould you put inserts in your Cons? I buy Dr. Scholl's at the drug store for mine. It really helps!
DeleteThanks Sheila - I feel a bit self conscious in bright pieces sometimes, but they are still perfectly casual and good for a day with the kids :) I haven't found the perfect inserts yet sadly!
The pink leopard print jeans are so cute!
ReplyDeleteomg I love this first ootd :)
ReplyDeletekisses:*
These are great skinny jeans outfits. Love the pink printed jeans...and the more neutral combo with skinny jeans look lovely too. You're probably right about the second look. The converse do look lovely with skinny jeans but if you're heading into nature or doing more walking than usual, comfortable walking shoes are a must. Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteYes I really need to be careful with my knee injury when thinking about what shoes to wear each day! :)
DeleteCute, Mica! I totally agree you should wear the fun jeans just because!

Love it so much. Those pink jeans are cute.
ReplyDeleteLike that orange (top) and blue jean combination.
ReplyDeleteThose pink leopard jeans are delightful, and I do think clothes that make you feel happy wearing them shouldn't be kept for special occasions. You also do not look overdressed to me, either. I fact I think this outfit manages to look both fun and coordinated. I love your second outfit, with the marigold top and green bag, too. Another fun outfit, although I am hearing you on the converse and the mozzie bites! Wishing you a lovely weekend, Mica! xxx
ReplyDeleteThanks so much - sometimes I feel a bit self conscious in such bright pieces!
DeleteThose pink jeans are lots of fun! I probably look overdressed most days! I love that marigold sweater, a very cheery color.

Test....don't know if my previous comment will show up:(
ReplyDeleteThese outfits are both so cute! I really like the color combination in the second outfit and the pants in your first outfit are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love both outfits and the leopard pants in particular are so cute! I know what you mean about passing over special items. I used to do that all the time as well and I'm trying to stop.

Your pink leopard print pants look cool. The color selection of the motif is unique because it is rarely pink. Regards
ReplyDeleteSuch cute spring pants, and I love that mustard yellow top!
ReplyDeleteThose pink jeans are so fun! I love the wrap top and denim jacket with them. I really need to do the same, wear some things in my closet that I try to save for special occasions... I feel with Covid a lot of things aren't getting worn as much as they would!

Yes I've been wearing proper clothes a lot less - lots of loungewear when I don't leave the house! And wearing more casual pieces with the pandemic.
DeleteI've always though 3/4 sleeve tops are perfect for transitional seasons as they keep you cool :) Hope things are going well for you, Mica!

I know what you mean about wearing "special" items more. I've been trying to do the same thing and just wear them anyway and they actually make me feel more special when I do.
ReplyDeleteYes it's good to get them out and wear them! :)
DeleteWhat cute leopard jeans! I love that they're pink, making them perfect for spring and early summer. I'm also really loving that second outfit. Orange and grey are one of my favorite color combinations to wear during fall. Thanks for the inspo and I hope you have a great week ahead!

So lucky that you've got spring coming. I love the skinny-jeans. They're honestly my favorite type of jeans to wear. You've styled them so lovely!
ReplyDeleteHappy day Mica!

I always have a problem with 'special' pieces that just don't feel right for any old day. Of course there is no joy in them unless they are worn, so that is definitely a mindset to change!
ReplyDeleteYes I really need to challenge that thinking! :)
DeleteI love both of these looks! Those pink leopard jeans are so fun! I tend to sometimes save "special" pieces too but lately I've also just been wearing them, because why not?
ReplyDeleteYes it's good to give them a wear - I need to do it more regularly! :)
DeleteThanks all for your lovely comments :) The pink leopard print jeans are so fun to wear :)
