Floral Dresses and Black Bags

Two colourful floral print dress outfits I've worn with black strappy sandals and black Rebecca Minkoff bags.

What I wore:

Earrings: gold angel stud earrings
Necklace: For King & Country Priceless Australian coin and crest necklace
Dress: Orange Sherbet Zoe tiered dress in geranium print pink
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus vintage silver charm bracelet
BagRebecca Minkoff medium unlined tote in black with shellac studded dome hardware

Why I wore it:

I had a hard time picking what to wear for this day as I had to WFH in the morning, but picked my son up from school early for an important appointment.

In the end I settled on this pretty red floral tiered maxi dress I'd worn recently for a birthday party, along with simple black sandals and my black unlined Rebecca Minkoff tote bag to store a copy of some of the documents we needed to bring.

This was the perfect outfit to wear in the end - the dress even has pockets, it makes me smile every time I wear it as the print and colours are just so cheerful. Might have been a little overdressed for working from home, but it was comfortable and was ideal for that afternoon appointment, and for when my mum and sister came over in the evening.

Last worn: gold angel stud earrings, For King & Country necklace, Orange Sherbet floral tiered maxi dress, strappy sandals, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag.

Other ways to wearOrange Sherbet floral tiered maxi dress for Christmas, strappy sandals and skirt, Rebecca Minkoff unlined tote bag and shorts.

What I wore:

Jacket: Anko Kmart classic denim jacket
Necklace: Tiffany & Co pink double heart tag pendant necklace
Dress: thrifted no label pastel floral print babydoll dress
Shoes: thrifted Anko Kmart black strappy sandals
Bagthrifted Rebecca Minkoff vintage Cupid satchel in dark navy blue

Why I wore it:

This was a cooler day so I was happy to wear this denim jacket over the floral babydoll dress for church. I got the denim jacket from the opshop in one of our pre-Christmas opshopping trips, when I saw it I grabbed it right away! Luckily it was my size so mum got it for me for Christmas. I liked the darker blue denim with the light pastel floral print on the dress.

Again I went with black sandals as it wasn't that cold, and it did warm up nicely later. I also wore my little Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag, as I felt I hadn't taken it out in a while, and it matches nicely with the sandals. It's actually a really dark navy, but when the bag and shoes are worn far apart they both look black.

Last worn: Tiffany necklace, floral babydoll dress, black sandals (above), Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag. First time I've worn the denim jacket as it was a Christmas present.

Other ways to wear: floral babydoll dress and blazer, black sandals and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Cupid bag and jeans.

Grey Tees With Green And Denim Skirts

Two grey tee and denim skirt outfits for the school run and WFH days, both featuring grey and green with colourful printed cover ups.

What I wore:

JacketJeanswest Delilah long line kimono in green floral
Necklace: thrifted Belle Folie multi colour tassel necklace
Tee: Anko Kmart short sleeve slub v-neck tee in lead grey
Skirt: Salvos Nobody Denim grey distressed denim skirt
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagChloe periwinkle small Paraty

Why I wore it:

This was an exciting day for my son with an excursion he'd been really looking forward to. Unfortunately his brother still had school, so I had a couple of drop offs to coordinate before working from home and then arranging different pick ups in the afternoon. They both had a good day though!

I wanted to be comfortable so I went with a tee and denim combination, as I seem to be defaulting to a lot for working from home days lately! As it was a little chilly in the autumn morning I added this green floral print duster. It brightens the grey tee and grey denim skirt combination nicely, as does the fun colourful tassel necklace. I also liked the extra physical sunblock it provided when I was outside in the afternoon.

The periwinkle blue Chloe Paraty is one I've worn with this green floral duster a lot, I like the blue and green together.

Last worn: green floral duster, tassel necklace, grey tee, Nobody Denim skirt, Havaianas, Chloe periwinkle Paraty bag.

Other ways to weargreen floral duster and shorts, grey tee and printed skirt, Nobody Denim skirt and graphic tee, Chloe periwinkle Paraty bag and dress.

What I wore:

Jacket:  thrifted no label tropical print tassel cover up
NecklaceRoie Designs feather, quartz and love charm long necklace
Tee: grey marle pocket tee
Skirt: Jeanswest light olive denim skirt
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC

Why I wore it:

Another day of working from home and doing the school run, another grey tee and denim skirt combination! As you can see in the first outfit, I have no issue pairing different shades of grey together, and I like wearing multiple different shades of blue in my outfits. I thought I'd try something a little different with this outfit and wear different shades of green. The light olive denim skirt is a very different shade from the bright almost neon green in the pam print cover up, but I think the colours looked good together with the blue in the print between them.
