Green and Yellow Worn Two Ways: Jeans and Tee | Weekday Wear Link Up

Jeans and and a tee again! It was my home isolation outfit of choice back when I wanted to get out of pyjamas or loungewear, but also didn't want to put in too much effort if I wasn't going anywhere.

This time I round I paired my yellow tees with green jeans and some cardigans, as the autumn weather had truly arrived in Brisbane and the extra layer was needed. Now it's properly winter and a few more layers are required.

What I wore:

pastel yellow tee with olive skinny jeans and grey cardigan autumn work from home style | away from blue

awayfromtheblue Instagram| grey cardigan with pastel yellow tee and olive skinny jeans
Jacket: Paper Scissors grey wrap cardigan
Necklace: Colette tortoise shell acrylic disc tassel necklace
Tee: Jeanswest essential v-neck tee in elfin yellow
Jeans: Jeanswest Vicki skinny pant in moss green
Shoesslim navy and pink Havaianas

Why I wore it:

It's not the first time I've worn this yellow tee with olive - it looked nice with my olive shorts so I knew I'd wear it with these olive jeans in the cooler weather. I really liked the combination, i think the muted shades work so well together. I added a necklace for a little bit of extra interest to my outfit and I think with the long necklace and long grey cardigan the tee looked better untucked - it's a bit oversized so I usually tuck it in, but I liked the longer lines of this outfit.

The grey cardigan wasn't quite as cosy as my daggy old bathrobe I usually wear around the house, but it was a more formal choice for a couple of zoom sessions I had on that day!

Last worn: yellow tee, tortoiseshell necklace, grey cardigan, olive skinny jeans, Havaianas.

Other ways to wearyellow tee and red maxi skirt, grey cardigan and maxi skirt, olive skinny jeans for a long haul flight.

Necklace: thrifted cream and navy statement flat bead necklace
Tee: Big W mustard v-neck tee
Jeans: thrifted ASOS petite green skinny jeans
ShoesNew Balance white and blue sneakers
BagLouis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere

Why I wore it:

This was a much bolder outfit with the mustard tee and the green skinny jeans. Again, this isn't a new colour combination for me, I love wearing my little mustard Rebecca Minkoff micro Regan bag with these green jeans, but it was the first time I'd worn this mustard tee and jeans together. As it was such a cold morning and I had to pop out to the post office, I added another colour to my outfit with this cosy navy cardigan.

Again, I've worn this navy cardigan with the green jeans before, but I really liked the way the trio of colours worked together in this outfit. Especially with the matching navy necklace! The Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere bag was a nice neutral with all of the colours in my outfit, and it was still packed and ready to go after my last trip out the house a few days before.

Last worn: navy waterfall cardigan, mustard tee, statement necklacegreen skinny jeans, New Balance sneakers, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere.

Other ways to wearnavy waterfall cardigan and pencil skirt, mustard tee worn two ways, green skinny jeans and floral kimono, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere and maxi skirt.

Perfect for pregnancyLouis Vuitton speedy bandouliere in third trimester.

Yellow Tees Under $50:

How You Can Wear It:

A yellow tee is a fun colour to have in your wardrobe! Yellow is a bright pop with a neutral pair of blue jeans but it works well with other colours like green and navy too.

  37. Dearest Mica,
You wear the combination in the top section very well, especially with the slimming slippers! Also the length of the shirt is perfect.
In the second version below, the color combination is nice however the shoes kind of stump off your silhouette and I don't like the blue in those sneakers, kind of clashing with the leggings. That is just my humble opinion and guess it is because for three years I went to fashion design school. But you enjoy wearing whatever you feel like.
Love the 1st photo of you with the cute boys!!!

  38. I love both of these looks! Yellow and green do complement each other so well. In the first, I love the more muted tones and that necklace!!! The gray cardigan really finishes the look well and I'd never have thought to go with gray. In the second, I just love the primary colors! And I agree that leaving them un-tucked in both was the way to go. Thank you so much for the linkup!
