What I wore:
Top: Atmos & Here Oregon stripe tank
Skirt: thrifted Tree of Life ochre maxi skirt (new purchase)
Shoes: New Balance white and blue sneakers
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAB Camera Bag in almond
Why I wore it:
I really love the colour of this maxi skirt! As you can see it seems to change colour in different lights - it looks pretty similar to the tan bag at first but as you can see in the Insta pic it's a much more yellow tone. I did like the tan Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag with it though. It was the perfect size for carrying the essentials when we popped into the grocery store after church.Unfortunately we didn't quite miss the storm was was threatening though and I got a little drenched running to the car! This maxi skirt was not fun to wear when wet! Will need to remember to keep it to rain-free days only.
With the striped tank and the block colour maxi skirt I added just a little print mixing with the tortoiseshell necklace. Simple outfit for a stormy day.
Last worn: striped tank, tortoiseshell necklace, New Balance sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag.
Other ways to wear: striped tank and purple jeans, Rebecca Minkoff MAB camera bag and floral dress.
What's In My Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAB Camera Bag
What I wore:
Tank: Jeanswest 'Josie' striped back strap tank
Skirt: thrifted navy viscose drawstring no label maxi skirt
Shoes: slim navy and pink Havaianas
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAB Camera Bag in almond
Why I wore it:
My other recently thrifted maxi skirt, I went a little more matchy-matchy with this one and stuck with a navy stripe tank to match the navy skirt. I even picked a blue beaded necklace to tie in with it too, along with the navy Havaianas! The tan Rebecca Minkoff MAB bag was a nice bit of contrast with the navy - I really like the two neutrals together. Great outfit for the school run and a few errands on a hot summer day.
Last worn: navy striped tank, beaded necklace, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff MAB Camera bag (above). First time I've worn the skirt as it's a recent purchase.
Other ways to wear: navy striped tank and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff MAB Camera bag and matching boots
Perfect for pregnancy: navy striped tank in second trimester.
I love stripes paired with a plain block coloured piece. Especially loving the singlets paired with a nice maxi skirt. That amber coloured skirt of yours is so stunning; what a beautiful shade on you.

Camera bags have been super trendy lately! I saw one from LV the other day and seriously contemplated on buying it. I love your outfit - the colors matched well together, especially with your bag and clothes. I need to do a better job of that because my bag is either the LV mono or white!! I am a big fan of the combo of your second outfit! Have a great weekend xx

Stripes are always a good option and the striped tanks you chose to style these skirts with give both outfits the perfect effortless chic vibe. It's too bad you did not manage to avoid the rain when wearing the first look. Maxi skirts are definitely not fun to wear when wet.
ReplyDeleteYes not the best outfit when you get stuck in a tropical storm, haha!

ReplyDeleteYou look fabulous! I love the striped tank.
