What I wore:
Dress: Atmos&Here navy stripe tee dress
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
Bag: Chloe small Paddington in 2006 blanc
Why I wore it:
This was such a busy day! As well as the school run and our usual library visit I had an appointment at an office on the north side of Brisbane that I wasn't feeling too confident about driving too. I'd been so preoccupied about the appointment that when my friend texted me in the morning reminding me about drinks that night I realised I'd gone and forgotten all about them! Luckily this outfit I was wearing worked for everything, during the day and at night for drinks. The benefit of having drinks at a friend's house means not needing to get overly dressed up.
With the wild weather and a bit of rain and wind the scarf was the perfect way to add a little extra warmth and some more colour to this navy striped tee dress. I really liked the way the black skull print on the scarf matches the black stripes in the dress as well. And this neutral small cream Chloe Paddington bag goes with everything too. The sneakers were essentials to support my knee with all the driving around.
Luckily the storms that day didn't hang around long - we did get a little wet when we arrived at the library but the sun was shining again by the time we left, and it was dry for the school pickup and drop off.
Last worn: skull scarf, navy stripe tee dress, New Balance sneakers, Chloe mini Paddington bag.
Other ways to wear: skull scarf and printed blouse, navy stripe tee dress and mustard scarf, Chloe mini Paddington bag and jeans.
Perfect for pregnancy: skull scarf in third trimester, navy stripe tee dress in second trimester.

What I wore:
Dress: Target navy and white striped shift dress with frill sleeves
Shoes: thrifted Adidas Superstar sneakers
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch c/o JORD
Bag: Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull
Why I wore it:
This was not such a busy day, a much more relaxed day! We went out to a little local carnival. There were a lot of market stalls, some yummy fundraising food, and the highlight for the kids was of course the petting zoo.
I figured I'd wear my new navy striped dress - aren't the ruffles on the sleeves cute? I picked this up at the Glad Rags markets for just $5, a great second hand buy. Added a little extra colour to the navy with this yellow statement necklace, but I'm thinking I'll try a longer necklace next time. I did like the sneakers with this though, very comfortable as the event was a lot busier than I expected it to be and the lines (particularly for the petting zoo) were super long so there was a bit of standing around.
The Louis Vuitton Neverfull was perfect for carrying all our water bottles and of course my camera. I got some really cute photos with the kids and the animals.
Last worn: yellow statement necklace, Adidas Superstar, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote. First time I've worn the dress as it is a recent purchase.
Other ways to wear: Adidas Superstar and midi dress, Louis Vuitton Neverfull tot worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote at 38 weeks.
How You Can Wear It
A navy striped dress is a great wardrobe basic. Try adding some extra colour to the neutral stripes with a bright accessory, like a printed scarf or statement necklace.
