What I wore:
Necklace: Nibbly Bits Abacus teething necklace in pop
Tank: Atmos & Here Oregon stripe tank
Shorts: OneTeaspoon Hawks shorts in Fox black (C/O, on sale!)
Shoes: Balenciaga studded sandals in sorbet RGGH (on sale, 58% off!)
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC in aquamarine with python embossed leather (on sale!)
Why I wore it:
I wore this for the "pinktastic" style prompt of the #AutumnStyleFile challenge. I like pink and black, and I've seen on a few blogs a black dress with a pink layer on top. It gave me the idea of trying this pink vest with a monochrome black outfit. Went with shorts and a tank as my shorter black dresses aren't breastfeeding friendly and the vest doesn't work with my black maxi dresses.Wore this to run a few quick errands. I was starting to plan for Baby Boy's first birthday party and walked around a few stores trying to get some of the things I needed. It's crazy to think he'll be 1 soon.
Was pleased with this outfit - although the pink sandals and pastel vest are different shades I think they look good together, and the little aqua bag was a great accessory. I'm amazed it's been over a year since I last wore these sandals! I've been loving my Rebecca Minkoff gladiator sandals and realised I better hunt out these Balenciagas and wear them now before the autumn weather arrives.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, pastel pink vest, stripe tank, OneTeaspoon shorts, Balenciaga studded sandals, Rebecca Minkoff aquamarine mini MAC bag.
Other ways to wear: pink vest and floral tank, stripe tank and flares, OneTeaspoon shorts in spring, Balenciaga studded sandals and blue boho dress, Rebecca Minkoff aquamarine mini MAC bag and purple cardigan.
Pink Vests Under $50:
What I wore:
Sunnies: Ray-Ban new Wayfarers
Jacket: Jeanswest Peri drape sleeveless jacket (on sale!)Necklace: Nibbly Bits Abacus teething necklace in pop
Tee: Atmos&Here oversized stripe tee
Shorts: Jeanswest Trinity Bermuda denim shorts (on sale!)
Shoes: Wittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC in aquamarine with python embossed leather (on sale!)
Why I wore it:
This was going to be a quiet day, not much to do other than a couple of errands in the morning. I wanted to wear this pink vest again and was trying to decide on a top to wear with it. I picked this striped tee as although I didn't anticipate needing to feed Baby Boy while we were out, I figured it would be good to be wearing something breastfeeding friendly just in case.I was so glad I'd chosen to wear this tee in the evening. We had to unexpectedly take Baby Boy to the hospital (he's fine now) and I had to breastfeed in the waiting room. When your baby's 11 months it's hard to get them to use a breastfeeding cover without tearing it off. Luckily I can pull this shirt up and have the excess fabric drape down and not feel too exposed when he pulls the wrap off for the tenth time... 😅
Despite it being a similar outfit formula to the one above and it being comfortable to wear I think this looks a little off in the photos. The rolled sleeves on the tee look a little odd peeking out from under the vest, and I didn't like the look of this outfit as much as the first one. I did love the combination of the aquamarine bag with the pink vest again, I'm glad I tried this pairing as it's now a favourite.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer (above), pink drape vest (above), stripe tee, Bermuda denim shorts, two tone sandals, Rebecca Minkoff aquamarine mini MAC bag (above).
Other ways to wear: pink vest worn two ways, stripe tee and red jeans, Bermuda denim shorts and olive tank, two tone sandals and printed dress, Rebecca Minkoff aquamarine mini MAC bag and maxi skirt.

I love that pink vest. Pink and black are pretty much no brainers (pale pink hues, not the magenta kind hahaha). I do love it paired with the stripes. Such a lovely combination. I've recently cleaned out a fair bit of my stripes since they were taking up too much space and I dint exactly utilise them as much as I once did. Though seeing the first look, I'm inspired to wear them at least once this week

Are you planning on having a big party? We just had some family over and ate cake, but that mostly for my daughter. My son was pretty indifferent about the whole thing.

We usually just have family and a few friends over (and some toddlers the same age as the boys) to celebrate getting through the first year, haha! Not a huge party.
DeleteI love this color combo! Such cute outfit!

Wow, I too can't believe that your lovely baby boy will be one year old soon! How the time flies! :) I hope that he has a lovely time at his birthday party! Also, both outfits are gorgeous and I like the bright colours you incorporated. Something about them just makes me think of spring and summer so much. :) That little handbag is to die for! Hope you're having a fab start to your week, lovely. xoxo

Thank you, he had a great party! :)
DeleteStripes are definitely my most common print too. They are the best. I love vests as a layer too, so these outfit combos are right up my alley. You look great!

I love the stripes and love the necklace you added. Works so well together and especially with that colorful vest. Have a lovely week! Xx

Such cute outfits, Mica; I love the way the cardi looks paired with both striped tops! I personally love the look of any shade of pink paired with either black or grey. With darker shades of pink combined with black, I feel it gives off a bit of a retro vibe and with the light shades of pink and grey, a very calming effect, so pretty! Thanks for sharing and I hope you have a great week!

haha it's one of the chances I have to get out the house and wear proper clothes, so I'll take it! :)
DeleteHow are you planning for the party? Our 1st and 2nd birthday parties were very small and intimate but we're hoping for a bigger one for his third birthday which is coming up in April.

We don't do much, just have family and a few friends and a few of the boy's friends over :) Just have to get decorations, ingredients and party bags and things.
DeleteI really love stripes! Both looks are cute, I love the pink vest, it looks great with these outfits. :)

I just love the colour peach in the summer!
ReplyDeleteYou look really cute here... stripes are a great print to wear xox
ReplyDeleteI am happy to hear you little one is okay... breast feeding can be a challenge but for me I think it was worth it... our children really do love to flash us... lol xox
haha yes the older he gets the less he likes being covered to feed!
DeleteI'm going to hunt for more sleeveless vest action this season, I feel. It gives a good layer without adding too much warmth before it gets too cold! Also big love for those Balenciaga sandals.
ReplyDeleteYou should, I've really been enjoying this one :)
DeleteI love bothoutfits but I have to admit I also find a little unconfortable wearing shirts with sleeve tops too.
