What I wore:
Belt: came with dress
Shoes: New Balance Coast women's running shoe in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff chevron quilted small Love crossbody bag in pale coral
Why I wore it:
This was a fun day out on the coast shopping with my mum and sister. When I opshopped this dress I got an orange necklace at the same time and they looked good together so I knew I wanted to try this little peach Love bag with the dress. I couldn't decide on a necklace with this after trying a couple, but in the end I figured the bold combination of pink and orange was enough that I didn't need to add any more accessories.
Wore my comfortable New Balance sneakers for the driving down the coast and all the walking around the shops. It was a very productive shopping trip and I always have fun spending time with my family.
Last worn: Kmart fuchsia godet skirt dress, New Balance sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff small Love bag.

Rebecca Minkoff Small Love Bag Review:
What I wore:
Dress: Kmart short sleeve tiered knit dress in indigo ink with pockets
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star coast blue
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff chevron quilted small Love crossbody bag in pale coral
Why I wore it:
Although this is not such a bold combination as the outfit above, I really liked this neutral navy Kmart tiered dress with the pop of colour from the peach Rebecca Minkoff small Love bag. I added this simple beaded necklace too for more even blue in my outfit. It doesn't match the navy of the dress or blue of the Converse sneakers but it goes nicely.
Had a child free morning with a couple errands to run in the and some much needed acupuncture with a massage to fix some pain in my back. Later in the evening we had a family fun event at church. I just ended up taking along a big reusable Woolies green bag to fit everyone's water bottles instead of changing to a bigger bag.
Last worn: beaded necklace, blue Converse, Rebecca Minkoff pale coral small love bag (above). First time I've worn this dress as it was a Christmas present.
Other ways to wear: blue Converse and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff pale coral small love bag and jeans.

How You Can Wear It:
A cute little colourful crossbody bag and a block colour dress is a great outfit for a hot day. You can go bold like I have in the first outfit with orange and fuchsia, or pair a bright bag with a neutral dress like the navy on in the second outfit.

Gosh what a gorgeous colour is that first dress! But I love the monochrome second one too! Have a great start of the week!
ReplyDeleteIt is such a fabulous shade of pink!
DeleteMica, this bag is so fun! I love the color. And it looks different depending on the color you pair it with. With the fuchsia it definitely looks like a pale shade of coral or peach but against the navy blue it appears to be a brighter orange. Or that could just be different lighting causing that, but either way it’s very cool! And both dresses are super cute on you, too. Have a fabulous week!

It really is a very peachy-bag in real life, but the colour name is pale coral so I can see why it looks coral in some lights!
DeleteYour peach bag is the perfect size. I have definitely started using a much smaller bag and hardly travel with anything anymore. It's nice to have a separate bag for the water bottles!

Yes smaller bags are definitely what I prefer when it's just me - but outings without the kids are so rare, my bigger bags get most of the love, haha!
DeleteSuch a cute little bag, and it really fits everything you actually need it to fit. I actually really like how it pops against the navy dress, although I always love a good pink dress too. So both are wins for me! Hopefully the massage and acupuncture helped your back out. I've started dry needling to see if that will help my back, glute and hip pain. Sigh. Getting older isn't always great. LOL.

Hope the needling helps! I've always found dry needling and acupuncture help me, and the massage helped my back wonderfully!
DeleteThis bag looks so cute. Its color is so nice. I loved it. It match both of outfits you shared in this post very well.
ReplyDeleteWhat pretty dresses!
ReplyDeleteLove both for your easy outfits for summer. The Fuchsia dress is such a beautiful color on you and the coral bag is so cute! Hope you have a good week and thanks for the link up!
ReplyDeleteThe color combos are wonderfl. I love the peach love bag, just really pretty with the magenta dress. Sounds like lovely shopping day! Winter is tough, I don't get out as much.

Oooooo....both these Kmart dresses look fab on you! You find the best things in op shops:) Such great colours, and really loving that navy dress with the peach bag, Mica!
ReplyDeleteYes I got really lucky with that dress, it was such a great find, I adore it! :)
DeleteI really like how the purse pops with the navy dress. I go either with a small purse when I am traveling (and put all the extras in a backpack) or carry and mid size crossbody. I usually will use the same purse several weeks in a row then rotate.

I tend to switch up my bag every day or every couple of days - I only really get to use small bags like this when I'm kid free though - or if I have a bigger bag with all the kids stuff, haha!
DeleteCute pink shade❤
ReplyDeleteI love both of these block colour dresses, but my favourite remains that delightful linen blend fuchsia one. I think pink and orange are a match made in heaven, so opting for the peach coloured bag was the right choice! I hope your week is going well Mica, and that you're recovering from your surgery. Sending hugs! xxx
ReplyDeleteIt's the first time I've tried this bag with pink and I really liked the combination! It's such a fun bag to wear :)
DeleteHad a little complication but I am feeling much better now after surgery, thank you!
Oh I love the bag.. it's such a great color!

I can't remember the last time I could get away with using just that small of a wallet - must have been before the kids for sure.
ReplyDeleteYes definitely a cute small bag for just the essentials - not ideal for a big day out with the kids! :)
DeleteThe first is an interesting color combination, but it works.
ReplyDeleteI love that fuchsia color on you—it's like an instant mood boost! And I'd never think to pair it with a peach-colored bag, but those colors look so fresh together!

Yes I've never tired this bag with pink before but I loved this combination! :)
DeleteWow! That peach colors does wonders to ground the other bolder colors. It's great!

ReplyDeleteIt is a great bag for summer or on days where you don't need to carry much :)
Deletebeautiful.
ReplyDeleteYou look adorable in these two dresses. Great outfits.
ReplyDeleteI like dresses and monochromatic looks, I liked the 1st look more than the second, I'm not a fan of navy blue, but I love light blue and your sneakers are beautiful, besides the bag, that's what I liked most about your outfits!

Sometimes just seeing two colours side by side is enough to spark our creativity - and you're showing amazing examples of how well peach/orange goes with other colours. I LOVE the pink (PANK?) dress with that purse.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the link-party, Mica!
It's definitely a PANK dress! I tried to leave you a comment saying that after I thrifted it but I think your blog ate it, haha! :) Thanks for linking up!
DeleteThis fuchsia color is so pretty on you, Mica!

I just love the mix of colors in your first outfit. Purple and peach look so refreshing and so summery. I have a very similar dress (both style and color) so I will definitely try to pull it myself when it's warmer. Have a great week! We are taking it slow this week because we're all covered in snow here. I wish we had summer too!
ReplyDeleteOh glad I could inspire you to get your similar dress out! I just love this one for summer! :) Hope it warms up for you soon!
DeleteBoth dresses look lovely and they suit your style really nicely too.
ReplyDeleteI love the combo of pink and orange. That peach bag is the perfect shade and size. It looks cute in your causal blue outfit too!
ReplyDeleteI love how your peach handbag pops against both navy and pink! Both outfits are fabulous...I think the navy one is my favorite because there is that big contrast in the colors! Thanks so much for the link up!
ReplyDeleteI love the fuchsia + peach, what a fun combo! (Sadly, not the vibe here today in the snow!)
ReplyDeleteHope you are cosy despite all the snow! :)
DeleteThese are such pretty outfits! I love the dresses :)
