What I wore:
Necklace: Tiffany diamonds by the yard necklace
Dress: Kmart long sleeve black tie neck dress in floral wisteria print
Belt: came with dress
Shoes: Adidas Stan Smith sneakers in white and navy
Bag: Chloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut
Why I wore it:
Unsure what kind of weather the day had in store and having to ferry the kids between two different birthday parties in one day meant being prepared for anything! I went with this long sleeved black floral print midi dress as it's nice and light and provided good sun coverage. I appreciated the long sleeves when it started to get cooler in the afternoon too, just before the rain hit. Thankfully the rain waited until after the party was over!Had a little bit of driving to do so these Adidas Stan Smith were nice comfortable sneakers - and I wasn't the only mum there rocking a dress and sneaker combo. I thought these pink statement earrings were a nice match with the pink florals in the dress, and a good way to make it look like I put in a little effort for the parties!
The Chloe Marcie shoulder bag is perfect for all the essentials plus the kids water bottles - which are of course must-haves at park parties!

Chloe Marcie Hobo Bag Review
What I wore:
Necklace: Tiffany & Co silver 5th Avenue notes heart pendant necklace
Dress: Kmart teal floral print midi dress
Shoes: Kmart white chunky platform sneakers
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Chloe Marcie medium shoulder bag in nut
Why I wore it:
Again I went with matchy-matchy earrings! these teal tassel ones go so nicely with the teal background of this floral print midi dress. I considered adding a denim jacket to this but decided not to as it was quite a humid day. At the birthday party in the afternoon though, again just like the weekend before where I wore the dress above, it got quite cloudy and windy. I really wished I'd brought a jacket along!I felt that I hadn't worn these Kmart chunky sneakers in while so they were overdue a wear - and a nice match for the white floral print on the midi dress. The little brown tab on the back is not quite a match for the Chloe Marcie bag in nut brown, but again I went with this bag because I needed something to store all our water bottles.

How You Can Wear It
Floral dresses are an obvious choice for spring, and long sleeved ones are perfect for those days when the weather isn't as warm as you'd like! Sneakers make a cute combination with a midi dress too.
Both printed dresses are fabulous on you! Nothing better than throwing these one and heading out!

Yes, lose the ease of an instant outfit with a printed dress!
DeleteI never worry about little details like a tab not being the right colour! :-P I adore both of these dresses on you, Mica! This style really suits you. Brava for the matchy earrings, especially the teal ones (I can't see the pink ones). Hooray for comfy sneakers! Have a wonderful weekend, my friend!
ReplyDeleteit's a shame the pink ones kind of blend in as they are so pretty - but my unruly hair is hiding a lot of the earrings, haha!
DeleteI think sneakers must go with every outfit. Why don't we always pair dresses with sneakers? We totally should.
ReplyDeleteSo glad it suddenly came into fashion as it's such a comfortable outfit choice!
DeleteBoth of these looks are beautiful, Mica! Love the matchy-matchy earrings! :)
ReplyDeleteHope all is well with you friend, and that you have a wonderful rest of your week!

I'm a big fan of the dress-with-sneakers-combo, Mica, and you rock this style so well. Both dresses are fab and the sneakers were great to pair with these. Man....I so wish it's spring here:D
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a fab weekend so far!
How pretty is that teal dress! Also, I always love that, even though you carry such chic bags, you always spell out the practical considerations behind them, like the need to carry water bottles and things for the kids. My bag selection def revolves around stuff like that. :)
ReplyDeleteYes! Practicality above all, haha! It's easier having a couple big bags I can use to limit all the things I have to worry about, especially when juggling presents and party bags too!
DeleteThese dresses are absolutely beautiful. Looks so nice on you.
