What I wore:
Necklace: Roie Designs feather, quartz and love charm long necklace
Cami: Jeanswest Audrey tonal print tank
Jeans: thrifted ASOS petite green skinny jeans
Shoes: New Balance white and blue sneakers
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Regan Satchel Tote in moon
Why I wore it:
I really liked the idea of this outfit when I planned it out in my head. The Rebecca Minkoff navy Regan bag is something I've frequently worn with these green jeans in the past, I like the two together. I thought this printed cami would be a fun addition, a top I hadn't worn in a while. And the white crochet detail kimono was a nice neutral block colour topper over all the print and colour. We took advantage of the public holiday and headed out on another walk with the kids, through the mangrove boardwalk along the bay. It was a little breezy at home so I anticipated it being quite cool and windy walking along the shoreline, like previous visits, so I wore the jeans instead of shorts. This was a mistake and I was SO hot, there was oddly no breeze coming off the water and I really wished I hadn't worn jeans! Not the best outfit for the day, despite having liked it so much in the morning.
Last worn: crochet trim kimono, feather necklace, printed cami, green skinny jeans, New Balance sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff navy Regan bag.
Other ways to wear: crochet trim kimono and shorts, printed cami and maxi skirt, green skinny jeans and mustard yellow, Rebecca Minkoff navy Regan bag and floral dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: printed cami and hidden baby bump.
What's In My Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Regan
What I wore:
Jacket: thrifted digital print no label kimono
Necklace: thrifted gold and cream multi strand pearl necklaceTee: Jeanswest essential v-neck tee in marigold
Shorts: Jeanswest Sara distressed hot short
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Regan Satchel Tote in moon
Why I wore it:
In contrast to the outfit above, I did wonder a few times if I should have worn jeans instead of shorts! Spent the day with the kids and my mum at the beach, enjoying the sunshine although it was a bit windy and cool in the shade. Was so nice sitting on the sand in the sun though. Even Cooper went in for a paddle into the water and he's not normally a fan of getting wet!As we didn't have a plan for the day in the morning I'd just picked something comfortable and colourful, with this marigold tee and digital print kimono. I was eager to wear this fun statement necklace again too, it's so light and easy to wear. I did like the black shorts to match the black print on the kimono too, even if I wished they were jeans a couple of times when I got cold! My Rebecca Minkoff navy Regan bag was great for carrying everything the boys and I needed, although it did end up a little full of sand at the end of the day!
Last worn: digital print kimono, beaded multi layer necklace, marigold tee, black denim shorts, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag (above).
Other ways to wear: digital print kimono with purple, marigold tee over little black dress, black denim shorts and stripes, Converse and skinny jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Regan bag worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: black Converse in second trimester.
How You Can Wear It:
Kimonos and denim is a style staple in spring! You can add some colour to an outfit with a bright tee, colourful jeans or a brightly patterned kimono itself.

What wonderful spring outfits. I love the green jeans paired with a printed top and a white kimono. Your RM bag is very chic as well. Such a lovely outfit! The photos are so sunny and pretty too.
ReplyDeleteYour second outfit with shorts is very stylish and cute as well. That yellow tee is a lovely pop of colour and the kimono is fantastic.
Mica, you are so adorable! I am loving your kimonos here. White ones are so great in the warmer months because they offer sun protection without making you too warm and they just look great! Your green pants are so fun, too! I hope you are well, my friend!

I absolutely love these green jeans! You rock colored jeans. The kimono is such a nice topper to this look. Thanks for the link up!

Both of these outfits are super cute! I used to have the same kimono you are wearing in the 2nd outfit and now regret donating it. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteJill - Doused in Pink
It's such a fun kimono! A bargain opshop find too!
DeleteThat is so frustrating when you get the outfit wrong for the weather!
ReplyDeletehaha yes I tend to do that often in spring, the weather can be so unpredictable!
DeleteIt looks so nice and sunny there - it's great that you were able to get out and enjoy the weather (even if you maybe picked the wrong outfit for the temperature one day).

Both of these looks are gorgeous. I really love those green jeans and the charm on your purse. So cute! I also adore the necklace in the second look. You have such a knack for putting together different pieces and making it look stylish and cohesive!
ReplyDeletethe creation of beauty is art.
Two cute kimono outfits, they will be great all season long! They look like perfect choices for the plans of the day, but early spring weather is so full of surprises. The beach coastline behind you looks so inviting-envying your sunshine and spring weather as we head into fall with fog and cold drizzle! Have a good week and thanks for the link up!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful shade of green. A back holiday is always such a treat isn't it!
ReplyDeleteLoving all the beautiful brights and how FUN are those green pants <3

The Regan bag really does look like such a great everyday bag, Mica:) And love both outfits. You look so cute as always:) That marigold really is such a great shade on you!
ReplyDeleteI really do like that first outfit even if you were hot! I do that often in the fall when it is cooler in the morning and I really want to wear a particular outfit. Then I end up having to change.

Loving those green jeans on you but both outfits are fabulous!
ReplyDeleteHope your week is off to a good start! We've had our first few snowflakes this morning...

Crazy to think you have snow when we have heatwaves!
DeleteHey Mica, hope you had a nice weekend and thanks for your latest comments on my blog, really appreciate that you took the time to share your experiences with me.
ReplyDeleteAhhh yes, you're welcoming Spring over Australia, enjoy the warm days! I'd say both outfits are perfect since you can always cover yourself with the kimono in case of a chill afternoon! I liked that you added a lot of clean and light layers in both outfits, something difficult to do when it comes to spring-summer looks, but these two options works really well and make your outfits really interesting.
PS: that little llama keychain is a great detail! extra points for that :)

Hey Fungi
Lovely kimonos. Especially love the second outfit.
ReplyDeleteBoth of the outfits are lovely! I love the white kimono in the first look and the necklace in the second.
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you had a nice time at the beach!

I'm sorry you didn't like both your outfits equally. It is crazy you are experiencing spring and now we are having autumn in the UK. I hope you have a great week ahead : ) xo

That is kind of funny, that your outfits would have been perfect...on opposite days! The second outfit is my favourite - that marigold yellow is amazing on you, and I love it with the printed kimono. The first outfit - I'm not a fan of the blousy cami. It feels too full/voluminous with the kimono.
ReplyDeleteI'm picturing little Cooper jumping in the water! Ha! I hope you had a fantastic weekend, my dear friend! Thank you so much for hosting the link-up.
Yes if only I'd switched the days I wore them, haha! Thank you for linking up :)
DeleteI love that pretty printed kimono and it's so perfect with bright colors. I love the white one too--you have such an impressive kimono collection!
ReplyDeleteI do love my kimonos! :)
DeleteIt's so hard to know if it'll be warm or cold when you start off the day!! But both outfits looked so nice.

I think both looks are super cute, Mica! Seems like maybe you would've had better luck if you had switch the days you wore them, haha. Those green pants are super fun, and I'm so jealous of your time spent at the beach!

Those transitional times of year can be so hard to dress for the weather because it is always changing! I really like the way that yellow top pairs with your kimono! Both outfits are cute!

So funny that you wished you'd worn shorts on the day you wore jeans and vice versa! But Spring, like Autumn, isn't the easiest season to get it right, as it often turns out to be warmer, or cooler, than forecasted! My favourite of the two is your second outfit. That marigold tee is such an amazing colour and both your kimono and shorts are perfect with it! xxx
ReplyDeleteThose green jeans are adorable- I love a pop of color!
ReplyDeleteHi
ReplyDeleteI liked the colors of your second outfit most!! I see that you have enjoyed nature with your family !! That's great !!
