What I wore:
Necklace: Happiness Boutique turquoise and coral pendant necklace (C/O)
Tee: Atmos&Here charcoal grey v neck tee
Skirt: thrifted Tree of Life ochre maxi skirt
Shoes: New Balance white and blue sneakers
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff 2012 sky grey mini MAC bag
Why I wore it:
Wore this for a beautifully sunny public holiday. Since the Ekka (our Queensland state show) was cancelled they moved the Wednesday public holiday to Friday instead to give everyone a long weekend. The weather was so nice we headed out with the kids around our favourite trail. I wasn't expecting it to be quite so busy though! It's usually so quiet we can go the entire time without seeing more than 2 people, but I guess with the public holiday everyone wanted to enjoy the spot. Thankfully the outdoors is a great place to keep our distance, and the kids showed their Dad some of their "hidden" paths off the trail we have taken before where we didn't see anyone for a while.Since it was such a warm day I just wore a simple outfit, I liked the last time I wore a grey tee with this ochre maxi skirt, and this darker grey tee was even better than the last one I tried. Since hubby was there to carry the baby bag I just wore my Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC for keeping my essentials with me - I often use the camera on my phone to take pics as we walk around here. I thought the blue was nice with the ochre skirt.
Last worn: grey tee, Happiness Boutique necklace, ochre maxi skirt, New Balance sneakers, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag.
Other ways to wear: grey tee in monchrome outfit, ochre maxi skirt and stripes, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag with monochrome outfit.
Perfect for pregnancy: grey tee in third trimester.
5 Ways To Wear Rebecca Minkoff Mini MAC Bag Strap:
What I wore:
Scarf: Fashion Scarf Girl zesty stripe tassel scarf in pink
Tee: Jeanswest 'Lucy' colour block tee in grey marle/rosebud
Skirt: thrifted Crossroads black ruffle hem maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff 2012 sky grey mini MAC bag
Why I wore it:
This day was even warmer than the one above, although it was pretty windy too! I decided to add this fun pink striped scarf to my outfit, as the grey tee and the black maxi skirt were a little plain together. Even though the grey tee has a contrasting pink panel on the back it looked a little monochrome from the front. I thought the scarf complimented the pink on the tee nicely, even if it did keep blowing around a bit when I tried to get photos!Again I wore my little blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag, it goes well with pink and grey.
This was a nice outfit for a busy day with the school run, working from home and an appointment for my son in the afternoon.
Last worn: grey tee, pink striped scarf, black maxi skirt, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag (above).
Other ways to wear: grey tee and printed shorts, pink striped scarf and pencil skirt, black maxi skirt at Disneyland, Converse and skinny jeans, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag and tee dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: grey tee in third trimester, Converse in second trimester.
How You Can Wear It:
A simple grey tee and maxi skirt outfit is a great option to keep you cool on a warm day. You can keep it monochromatic like I have in the second outfit and add some colour with accessories, or let the skirt be the pop of colour like I have in the first outfit with the ochre skirt.

Love how you have been getting out still during this crazy time. We have only gone to the park a hand for of time. We did adventure to the mall yesterday.

We have really been enjoying the local trails! The playgrounds are a bit too busy but the parks and trails have been so empty!
DeleteThe grey and rust combination is so cool - there is something very edgy to it.
ReplyDeleteAnd finally i am on time for a link up :)
Both looks are fun and easy breezy! Glad you could get out on the trails. I have been out a few times and things were a bit more crowded then expected in some cases.

Seems like you're heading into Spring! What a lovely idea to move Queensland's public holiday the Friday. Having a long weekend is so much more enjoyable than a day off in the middle of the week! I can imagine your favourite trail being crowded though! My favourite of your two outfits is the first one. The ochre skirt combined with the grey of your tee and handbag is so pleasing for the eye! xxx
ReplyDeleteYes it was so nice having an extra long weekend with the family :) Will have to avoid this spot on future public holidays though, haha!
DeleteI love the maxi skirt look with the casual tee. I would live in it during the Fall!
ReplyDeleteI love to wear maxi skirts in summertime 😉 you Look great ❤️

Both maxis look awesome on you, Mica! You always have the perfect bag for accessorizing! Glad you were able to slip away and evade the crowds. I've been avoiding the waterfront here as there are just too many people around.
ReplyDeleteIt's good to see so many people out and about but it's nicer to avoid the crowds for sure!
