Frocktober: Balenciaga Bags and SAHM Casual Daytime and Evening Printed Dresses

Continuing on with the Frocktober outfits. I'm doing a #31Days31DifferentDresses challenge and wearing a different dress every day in October to raise funds for Ovarian Cancer Research.

Every donation helps! Thank you to everyone who is donating to this great cause.

What I wore:

Away From The Blue | Second Trimester Striped tee dress scarf beanie ankle boots Bal part time

Away From The Blue Blog | Balenciaga part time in black 2010 with SGH
Hat: white knitted beanie
ScarfAlexander McQueen modal skull scarf in white/pink
DressAtmos&Here navy stripe tee dress
ShoesAsos airtime leather Chelsea boots in tan
Bracelets: the usual plus Edenborough Evans 'Ivy' silver cuff
BagBalenciaga part time in black 2010 with SGH

Why I wore it:

It was a little chilly, so perfect time to wear one of my warmest dresses. And since it was Hat Day too, I was able to meet the #myStyleOctober challenge of 'hattitude' by wearing a cosy beanie. Layered up with a scarf as well as it got quite cold with the wind and rain.

I was so grateful to be wearing this dress, and not just for the extra warmth. The dress has a longer hem in the back that comes in helpful for toddler wrangling. I spent the morning at the accountants getting my tax done, having had to take toddler T along with me. Although he did sit there quietly 'reading' a book most of the time, every now and then he'd try running around. He managed to drop down and crawl under the accountant's desk at one stage!

Last worn: knitted beanie, skull scarf, striped tee dress, Chelsea ankle boots, Balenciaga Part Time bag.

Other ways to wearknitted beanie in the office, pink skull scarf with blue and teal, striped tee dress in winter, Chelsea ankle boots and jeans, Balenciaga Part Time bag and denim.

What I wore:

Away From The Blue | Snake Print Halter Neck Maxi Dress dressed down for daytime denim jacket balenciaga city

AwayFromTheBlue Blog | Balenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet pink
Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
NecklaceTai gold alphabet necklace
DressJeanswest grey snake print maxi dress
Shoes: Ikwetta 'Circles of life' sandals (C/O)
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs black leather Swarovski beaded wrap bracelet
BagBalenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet

Why I wore it:

We went out for dinner in the evening with hubby's family, so I figured I'd wear one of my 'dressiest' dresses for the occasion. I'm trying to plan out the month so I'm not left with something completely inappropriate to wear near the end! Dinner out seemed like the best time to wear such a formal dress.

We weren't doing much earlier the day though, so I tried to dress this down a little, and settled on the denim jacket and casual bag. I've been wearing my Balenciaga bags a bit lately!

This dress hasn't been worn much - it's been almost 10 months since I last wore it! It's definitely staying in my wardrobe though. I just don't wear it much as I keep it for more formal occasions. I think it's perfectly okay to only wear a floor length formal dress a couple times a year. I expect my 'everyday' wardrobe to get worn a lot more though!

Last week I shared about the Shopbop sale, so I wanted to share with you all what I bought too. I picked up a couple things, after feeling like treating myself as I ended up doing #noSpenderSpetember!

What I bought:

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, denim jacket, snake print maxi dress, Ikwetta sandals, Balenciaga sorbet city bag.

Other ways to weardenim jacket and a maxi skirt, snake print maxi dress at 39 weeks pregnantIkwetta sandals and a maxi skirt, pink Balenciaga sorbet city bag in the office.

Frocktober Weekend Dresses: Rebecca Minkoff Swing Bag in Canary Yellow, Stars and Stripes

Continuing on with blogging my Frocktober outfits.

I'm wearing a different dress each day in October, to raise funds and awareness for Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation. I've been posting everyday on the #Frocktober2015 tag on instagram and I'm just catching up on the blog.

What I wore:

Away From Blue | Spring star print jersey dress Chelsea ankle boots yellow RM Swing bag

Away From Blue | Rebecca Minkoff Swing bag in canary yellow worn cross body
Jacket: no label white drape jacket
NecklaceTai gold alphabet necklace
DressFrench Connection star dancing jersey dress in red rust/almond
ShoesAsos airtime leather Chelsea boots in tan
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff Swing bag in canary yellow (on sale in black and on sale in pink!)

Why I wore it:

As well as setting myself the challenge of wearing a different dress every day in October, there is another style challenge on instagram (#myStyleOctober) I wanted to participate in. This was the first day I could see an outfit working, the prompt was 'belted' so I knew this belted jersey dress would be nice. I also finished up participating the #basicscheckin challenge by swapping out my bag from the red Marc by Marc Jacobs Ukita I'd carried the day before, as I thought this yellow one worked better with the dress. 3 challenges in one outfit!

It was a nice comfortable outfit for a day out shopping with my mum and sister - we were looking for a dress for a special event my sister had coming up.

When I was trying on jackets in the morning I thought this one looked really nice, but I'm a bit underwhelemed with it looking at the photos. Maybe one that was not as 'busy' would have worked better.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarerswhite jacket, star print jersey dress, Chelsea ankle boots, Rebecca Minkoff swing bag.

Other ways to wearwhite jacket and skinny jeans, star print dress in third trimester, Chelsea ankle boots and jeans, Rebecca Minkoff swing bag and a yellow tank.

Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket

ShoesIkwetta 'Circles of life' sandals (C/O)
Bracelets: the usual plus statement cuff gifted from my bestie
BagRebecca Minkoff Swing bag in canary yellow (on sale in black and on sale in pink!)

Why I wore it:

I've worn the bag and dress together before, it's a nice combination of colours. I really liked this outfit. It was perfect for a morning with hubby and toddler T, popping to the library, doing a little bit of grocery shopping and then going out for Sunday lunch as a family.

Almost a year ago I mentioned that I was thinking about getting rid of this maxi dress. I've decided to let it go now. It's a lovely dress, but I pick my other maxi dresses over it frequently. It's going to go into our Frocktober fundraising frock swap party at work, so will hopefully be replaced with another pretty dress!

Frocktober: 31 Days, 31 Different Dresses. Prints and Marc By Marc Jacobs Bags

Getting around to blogging my Frocktober outfits now! (I've been posting everyday on the #Frocktober2015 tag on instagram). For a while my posts will be nothing but dresses.

What is Frocktober?
Frocktober is a month where you can set yourself a challenge involving a dress (or dresses) to raise funds and awareness for Ovarian Cancer Research Foundation.

Why fund-raise?
One woman dies every 10 hours from ovarian cancer. There is no early detection test, so people are often diagnosed when it is too late and the cancer has spread.

What's the challenge?
There are 31 days in October, so for Frocktober I've decided to wear a dress each of those 31 days. To really challenge myself, I'm going to be wearing a different dress every day. #31Days31DifferentDresses. Makes it a little less boring and repetitive on the blog here too, and I'm hoping along the way to identify a few of my many dresses that no longer need to stay in my wardrobe.

How can I help?
I would love for you to donate - you can donate through my fundraising page here (I have a goal of reaching $200). It's not too late to get on board yourself either! What about a girls night in/out or a morning tea in your office, where everyone has to wear a frock and make a donation to the cause?

Now, kicking off my Frocktober outfits.

What I wore:

Away From Blue | Frocktober Office Wear Printed ruffle dress blazer MbMJ Fran and mouse flats

AwayFromTheBlue | Marc By Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran bag with gold hardware in carob brown
Jacket: Zara cream jersey blazer
Necklace: old pink bead necklace I don't recall where I bought it
Dress: Jeanswest animal print dress
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs metallic mouse flats
Bracelets: the usual
BagMarc By Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran bag with gold hardware in carob brown

Why I wore it:

My first frock: this lovely Jeanswest printed one that I like wearing to the office. Paired with a blazer as it was a little chilly in the morning, and it's good to have my shoulders covered from the cold air conditioning at work. I've used this dress in the past to hide a second trimester baby bump in the office, and was pleased to find it hid the early second trimester bump this time around too.

I knew I hadn't worn this dress in a while, but didn't realise it had been over a year and a half! I am definitely keeping this in my wardrobe, but I need to get rid of some other dresses so this comes up in the rotation more frequently.

Last worn: Zara blazer, animal print dress, metallic mouse flats, Marc Jacobs Fran bag.

Other ways to wearZara blazer and flared jeansanimal print dress in summer with orange and yellow, mouse flats and jeans, Marc Jacobs Fran bag and printed pants.

ShoesRMK Chester black ankle boots (on sale here!)
Bracelets: the usual plus Roie Designs waxed leather cream howlite beaded wrap bracelet
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster

Why I wore it:

A more casual outfit for my second dress of Frocktober. This one again, hasn't been worn in a while. it's been a little over a year since I last wore it. It's cute and comfortable and really should be worn more! It was perfect for a hot spring day. Toddler T and I spent the morning visiting family on the coast and then had lunch with my mum.

I thought the denim jacket looked nice with this, although I took it off pretty quickly as the day heated up. This jacket only really seems to get worn in spring, so I'm making the most of it now before it's neglected in my wardrobe over summer!

First up, the big news! Shopbop Friends and Family Sale is on right now!

You can get full details of the inclusions and exclusions here before you shop so there aren't any surprises at checkout. I was considering participating in Buy Nothing New month this month, as I have done in previous years, but I can't pass up this sale!

My Shopbop sale shopping tips:

Now what I've been wearing, featuring the final two outfits I'll share from September, before I finally get around to posting my Frocktober dress outfits! 31 days in October, so I'm wearing 31 different dresses to raise money for the Ovarian Cancer Research foundation.

Before I started picking out dresses to wear, I wanted to give my maxi skirts a little bit of love. It will be strange not wearing them for a whole month! Both outfits feature printed tops with the maxi skirts, one I love and want to wear more of, and another I'm going to get rid of.

What I wore:

AwayFromBlue | printed tank denim jacket asos colourblock maxi skirt spring style

Away From The Blue | Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC
SunniesRayban new Wayfarers
Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
Necklace:  House of Harlow sunburst necklace in silver and grey
TankJeanswest 'Rowena' print tank
SkirtAsos colour block maxi skirt in red
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs suede flats in red
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC

Why I wore it:

I'd made my mind up to wear this maxi skirt and the printed tank together, but wasn't sure what jacket to wear with it....was pleased it was warm enough to give my denim jacket the first wearing of the season!

The maxi skirt with the stretchy elastic waist was a great choice as we went out shopping with my sister and made sure to mark national pancake day by indulging in some pancakes! Mine were delicious. We were all so full afterwards!

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, denim jacket, printed tank, colour block maxi skirt, red suede flats, Rebecca Minkoff metallic mini MAC.

Other ways to weardenim jacket and a maxi dress, printed tank in the office, colour block maxi skirt in the rain, red flats and a leopard print dress, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC for a house party.

I've been wearing my Rebecca Minkoff bags a lot lately! While I do still have a large collection of bags, the compact size of the Rebecca Minkoffs keeps me reaching for them over and over.

Shop more Rebecca Minkoff bags:

Shopbop has a great range of Rebecca Minkoff bags! The majority of my Rebecca Minkoff bags come from Shopbop, as with the free shipping it often works out cheaper than buying direct from Rebecca Minkoff.com if I'm buying just one bag.

What I wore:

AwayFromBlue | Chevron print tribal tee grey marle maxi skirt black maxi cardi Converse

AwayfromBlue | Rebecca Minkoff Love cross body bag in grey with gray marle maxi skirt
Jacket: Cotton On black knit wrap cardigan
NecklaceRoie Designs feather, quartz and love charm long necklace

Skirt: Target grey marle maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
BagRebecca Minkoff Love cross body bag in grey (Get 25% off at shopbop with code 'INTHEFAM25'!)

Why I wore it:

Unlike the outfit above, I didn't really like this outfit much! This top has been at the very back of my wardrobe for such a long time. I recently brought it to the front so I'd be inclined to wear it more often, and it's just sat there unworn. I did think about wearing it to work, but always passed it over for something else. When I was looking for something to wear with this maxi skirt, I decided I best wear this top instead of staring at it all the time!

It's definitely the last wear for this top though. It's lovely, I like the print, but it never seems to sit right and I don't wear it enough. I don't enjoy wearing it, so it's leaving my wardrobe. It's been worn 6 times since I bought it in 2012, which isn't bad, but could be better. The decision to let it go was confirmed when I bumped into a friend grocery shopping and as we chatted, I stood there wishing I'd worn anything else!

This cardi won't be seen for a while but I'm definitely keeping it - it's just getting a bit warm to wear now spring has arrived in Brisbane, so I'm packing it away temporarily.

Inspired by Lorena over at My Every Day Wear, if you like this top and think you'd give it more wear, flick me an email, it will only cost you however much shipping is to where you are :) My usual method is to take things out of my wardrobe and stick them in a big bag. It sits there waiting for me to get the energy to go through it for ebay, or for me to be passing by the animal shelter where we adopted Cooper so I can drop the bag off in their op-shop.

Last worn: black wrap around cardigan, chevron print top, grey maxi skirt, white Converse, Rebecca Minkoff Love bag.

Other ways to wearblack cardigan and a plaid shirt, sightseeing in chevron print top and jeans, maxi skirt and a graphic tee, Converse and a shift dress, Rebecca Minkoff Love bag with denim.

First Birthday Party Outfits: Maxi Dresses - Layered Up For Winter

The other week, we had a busy weekend with a couple of first birthday parties to attend for baby T's friends, so I went with my trusty maxi dresses. They always seem to fit any dress-code. And they are easy to wash after the inevitable food-covered baby hands start grabbing at them. Maxi dresses are perfect first birthday party wear!

As it's winter here in Brisbane (and late autumn when I took these pictures) I had to layer up a little. It is possible to wear maxi skirts and dresses year round (and I've shown a few times when I've worn maxi dresses in winter), you just need to wear a little more than you would in summer. It helps if you have snow-free winters like we do here.

What I wore:

Maxi Dress in Autumn - belted purple cosy cardigan black ballet flats RM Love bag

Away From Blue Blog: Rebecca Minkoff Grey Love Bag
CardiganJeanswest Dana drape knit cardi in Boysenberry
NecklaceTai gold alphabet necklace
Dress: Jeanswest 'Sierra' embellished black maxi dress (on sale!)
Belt: Kmart thin black glitter belt
Shoes: Wittner 'Bolla' black bow detail flats
BagRebecca Minkoff Love cross body bag in grey

Why I wore it:

I wore this to a little girl's first birthday party. I shared a picture of the party decor on instagram, as it was done so well, got me thinking about baby T's upcoming party! Her mum had spent a long time planning and had some of her friends help out to create a beautiful party, it was really fun.

Thought the glittery belt and the embroidered neckline of this black maxi dress made it a little dressed up for the occasion, and as well as meeting the 'sparkle' style challenge for the day, it was good for both playing on the floor with baby and standing around chatting to the adults. As much as I wanted to wear sandals, it was a little chilly so closed in ballet flats were the best option.

I've worn the belted cardigan over a maxi dress combination before, here with the same cardi and here and here over a baby bump. I really like it!

Last worn: purple cardigan, Jeanswest black maxi dress, glitter belt, black ballet flats, Rebecca Minkoff Love bag.

Other ways to wear: purple cardigan with leopard print skinny jeans, black maxi dress with studded accessories, glitter belt over a baby bump, black ballet flats with printed skinny jeans, Rebecca Minkoff Love bag with printed shorts.

What I wore:

First Birthday party Guest Outfit denim jacket pink pashmina teal printed maxi dress

Rebecca Minkoff Love quilted cross body bag in grey
Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
Scarf: Cotton On fuchsia pashmina
Dress: Thrifted JayJays teal paisley print maxi dress (new purchase)
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs studded mouse flats in grey
BagRebecca Minkoff Love cross body bag in grey

Why I wore it:

I shared a little bit about this maxi dress in my monthly purchases video. I got it from the local op-shop (thrift store) in the 'fill a bag for $2' sale. It looked familiar and it also looked like it was my size and in great condition, so into the bag it went. It was when I got it home and tried it and everything else on for the first time that I realised...I used to have a very similar dress when I was younger! Still haven't found a photo of me in the black version though.

I wore a denim jacket with this as I always used to think it was the coolest item of clothing ever when I was younger, to meet the 'hello cool' style challenge for the day. I needed a little more than just the denim jacket with this though as the first birthday party we were attending was outdoors. In the end I settled on the pink scarf, after trying on a few. I thought it looked nice with the teal and it matches the pink in the print well.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, denim jacketpink pashmina, studded mouse flats, Rebecca Minkoff love cross body bag (above). First time I've worn the dress as it is a new purchase.

Other ways to wear: denim jacket in summer, pink pashmina with a brown outfit, studded mouse flats with skinny pants, another blue printed maxi dress in summer, Rebecca Minkoff Love bag with denim.

Maxi Skirts in Spring - Florals, Stripes, Denim and Hearts

At last, I'm caught up with the current season and sharing some Spring outfits! Have been a bit behind with blogging lately, having too much fun with baby T :)

Here's what I wore to head to the shops with baby T:
first day of spring outfit Floral tank colour block maxi skirt denim jacket
SunniesRayban new Wayfarers
Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
Tank: no label floral and lace top
SkirtAsos colour block maxi skirt in red (on sale!)
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs metallic mouse flats

Baby T had a lovely long nap in the morning, which was helpful as I was fussing around my wardrobe wondering what to wear and taking longer than usual to decide. I knew I wanted to wear this pretty maxi skirt, but couldn't settle on a nice top. When I saw this floral one I thought it was too perfect - florals for the first day of spring! It was still a little chilly though, so the denim jacket was needed.

DH complimented my outfit when he got home that afternoon, so it was a winner in my book.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, denim jacket, floral tank, colour block maxi skirt, metallic mouse flats.

Here's what I wore to spend the day with my mum:
stella mccartney heart print scarf striped maxi skirt grey tee
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
ScarfStella McCartney heart print scarf
TeeSpectrum basic v-neck tee in grey marl
SkirtTarget black and white striped maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black

This was another "I don't know what to wear" day, this time because I had to dress for two very different events! My sister and I had been nominated for the ALS ice bucket challenge, so while I wanted to be comfortable for a day out with my mum, I also needed to be wearing something that would stand up to having a bucket of water thrown over me. "What to wear for an ice bucket challenge?" is not something I'd normally ask of my wardrobe, so it took me a while to come up with an outfit!

Ended up with a grey tee and maxi skirt, with a nice scarf to add a bit of colour and some print mixing during the cooler morning. Was really comfortable all day for being out with baby, and minus the scarf it worked well when I got a bucket of ice water poured over me in the evening!

Last worn: Wayfarers (see above), heart print scarf, grey tee, striped maxi skirt, Converse.

Wearing Maxi Dresses in Winter: with Scarves and Cardis

Here's what I wore to have lunch and spend the day with family:
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
JacketJeanswest Dana drape knit cardi in Boysenberry
DressJeanswest 'Chantelle' crochet detail blue printed maxi dress
BeltAsos metal keeper skinny waist belt in bright blue
ShoesAcne pistol boots in "skin"

Strange to see this maxi dress without the baby bump! I bought it in my third trimester when I felt I was running out of pretty dresses to wear, knowing I'd be able to wear it post-pregnancy as well. It's got gorgeous lace detail on the back, but as it's winter I covered it up with a cardi and added some boots to keep warm.

I first tried the belted jacket and maxi dress combo during my pregnancy, and I really liked it. Thought it would be a good way to keep cosy and look nice for spending the day with the in-laws. We had lunch and Baby T got the chance to meet some more of his relatives from out of state, it was a lovely day. Picked this cardigan to wear over my other ones as I really like purple and blue together, and the way the little waterfall drape looks with the maxi dress.

Last wornwaterfall cardi, skinny beltprinted maxi dress, Acne Pistol boots.

Here's what I wore to go to my new parent group:
Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
ScarfSeed Heritage Paisley print snood
DressMEV Havana maxi dress C/O Zibibo
BeltAsos skinny pale yellow belt
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs two tone flats in blush and black
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

I'm glad I can still wear this maternity maxi dress post-baby! It was one of my favourite maternity pieces, and is a nursing dress too, really practical. I did worry that it might be a little too long on my petite frame without the belly holding it up a bit, but belted it's still a nice floor-skimming length.

I've been wanting to wear the dress and denim jacket together for a while. It's also the perfect piece for the last day of the Style and Shenanigans texture challenge. Minus the snood, this was the outfit I had planned out to wear the evening before I unexpectedly went into labour. I woke up early in the morning, feeling funny. When DH got up I was sitting on the end of the bed breathing through a contraction and as soon as I could I said "I think I'm in labour!". Instead of the pretty dress I'd laid out, I put on my ninja baby tee (for its last wear!) and some trackie dacks to wait it out at home a bit longer until it was time to head to the hospital. Changed into a hospital gown soon after arriving there, and baby was born shortly after! It was so wonderful to meet him, he was so tiny and perfect!

This is the second wear of the snood since I bought it, so as I've done with all my July purchases, the final verdict:
I like it! I've never really liked the idea of a snood before, it seems less versatile than a scarf and I was always worried the style would overwhelm me, being short. Trying it on in store helped to make sure it was a purchase that looked good on me and one that I'd wear. An impulse buy I didn't need to make (I have a LOT of scarves) but one I'll get lots of use from. Especially now as I'm favouring soft scarves instead of necklaces baby could get tangled in.

Last worn: denim jacket, paisley print snoodskinny beltmaternity maxi dress, cap toe flats.

ASOS Pastel Aztec Print Scarf with Cobalt Blue and Purple

Here's what I wore to take baby T for a check up:
asos aztec pastel scarf cobalt blue leather jacket grey skater dress ankle boots
Jacket: Wittner 'Santa Fe' cobalt blue leather jacket
Scarf: Asos pastel Aztec print scarf (on sale!, new purchase)
Dress: Asos grey skater dress (on sale!, new purchase)
ShoesAsos Aggie leather western ankle boots in black
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

Took the opportunity to get out of PJs and take baby for a check up at our local child health clinic. We have been visiting a lot as it's nice to have a reason to get up and get out of the house with baby, rather than just walking Cooper! Baby T is thriving, our frequent visits are just taking advantage of all the support we have available. For those not in Australia, at the clinic you can book appointments to have regular and ad-hoc chats with the nurses, attend sessions about various baby and child related things (like advice on settling baby to sleep!), and just go to weigh baby and make sure everything is progressing well. It's a fantastic service! I'm very grateful to have access to so much help and support as a new mother.

First time I've worn this recently purchased scarf, it's so pretty. I paired it with the grey dress (also on its first wear) as I thought the pastel colours paired worked well. Couldn't resist adding just a little more colour with the cobalt blue of this leather jacket though. It's a good piece for the Style and Shenanigans texture challenge: leather.
It's almost Spring, and I've only worn this jacket twice this Winter. I paid full price for it, and it's the most expensive clothing item I own - even have some handbags that are cheaper! It has been worn so little this year as I'm a little worried about holding a newborn baby around it. I'm trying to wear the jacket on days I don't have to be out long and shouldn't need to feed baby T, to avoid any accidents. When I was a little girl, I left my mark on a family friend's leather jacket, and even after dry cleaning it was never the same....wouldn't want that to happen to this! Hopefully will get more wear next year.

Last worn: blue leather jacket, Asos ankle boots, Marc by Marc Jacobs baby bag. First time I've worn the scarf and dress as they are recent purchases.

Here's what I wore to go to the post office:
blanket scarf denim jacket maxi skirt pastels blue and purple new mum outfit
Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
ScarfAsos pastel Aztec print scarf
TeeSpectrum basic v-neck tee in washed lilac
SkirtJeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag
StrollerSteelcraft Strider Compact

Loved wearing this scarf so much I wore it again the very next day! Just a nice casual outfit to go to the post office and run some errands with baby T. Paired the pastels with blue again, and some purple with the tee. It was such a warm day, I ended up taking the denim jacket off as we walked home in the sunshine. The scarf kept me cosy enough.

As this is the second time I've worn the scarf (and I'm evaluating all my July purchases), the final verdict:
It's certainly much bigger than I expected, a nice blanket size scarf. I didn't check the measurements before I bought it. It's warm and I like the print and colours. I'm just concerned it might be a little too big on me, what do you think? Need to think of more creative ways to tie and wear it in future. Might not get worn as much as I thought it would as the weather warms, but it was a bargain at under $10 (on sale with an extra % off) so I should still get my money's worth from the purchase.

Last worn: pastel printed scarf (see above), denim jacket, purple tee, black maxi skirt, Converse, MbMJ baby bag (see above).
