I recently thrifted these two space dye tees, bringing my collection up to 3 space dye tops, all thrifted! Maybe space dye was a trend a while back and now everyone is over it? I am really loving it though, it's a nice twist on an otherwise basic tee. Both of these tees were pieces in my "fill a bag for $5" opshop sale haul.
What I wore:
Scarf: Alexander McQueen red skull-print modal and cashmere-blend scarf
Tee: thrifted Kmart space dye cream and black longline top (new purchase)
Jeans: thrifted Emerson red skinny jeans
Shoes: Walnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats
Bag: Balenciaga part time in black 2010 with SGH
Why I wore it:
Was thrilled to get this tee new with tags in the opshop! It's just a Kmart one and the original price sticker wasn't very high but it's good to be able to give new life to a piece someone kindly donated rather than throwing away. The black dye running through this white tee makes me a little more confident wearing it. I'm a bit clumsy so white is not my usual go to colour, but the different colours in this make it easier to wear and hopefully will make anything I do spill on it less noticeable 😂
Went matchy-matchy with this, wearing my red Alexander McQueen skull scarf and skinny jeans together. The red jeans were also a thrift find! The blue denim jacket was a nice way to wear double denim but I ended up taking it and the scarf off and on through the day as it heated up.
A busy day of getting things done as I was kid free! Tax return done, more Christmas shopping done and after running a few more errands I treated myself to a massage!
Last worn: denim biker jacket, red skinny jeans, red skull scarf, black Ballet flats, Balenciaga part time bag. First time I've worn the tee as it was a recent purchase.
Other ways to wear: denim biker jacket and tee dress, red skinny jeans and kimono, red skull scarf with monochrome outfit, black Ballet flats and wrap dress, Balenciaga part time bag worn 30 ways.
Perfect for pregnancy: red skull scarf in second trimester, skinny jeans in second trimester, black Ballet flats in third trimester, Balenciaga part time bag in second trimester.
Balenciaga Vs Rebecca Minkoff:
What I wore:
Top: thrifted black and white space dye peplum tee (new purchase)
Jeans: Jeanswest Vicki skinny pant in moss green
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs metallic mouse flats
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff emerald green mini 5-zip rocker bag
Why I wore it:
Wearing more new (and new to me!) things for a busy day. We had a playdate in the park after swimming lessons, and another Lion King toy swap day, and our new fluffy family member was being dropped off before I went out for the night with some Instagrammers. It was busy but manageable until... just as we were leaving the park my son poked himself in the eye with a stick.Added a trip to emergency to our crazy day, but thankfully the scratches were minor and we were seen pretty quickly and on our way home again to get things ready for our fluffy guest.
I like mustard and olive together so this newly purchased scarf was an obvious choice when I wanted to add a little more colour to the neutral olive jeans and peplum tee outfit. I think it worked nicely with the emerald green of the bag too! The green Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag is another new purchase too!
Despite the hectic day, I liked this comfortable outfit and this tee has become a firm favourite! Such a great opshop find. I had a quick change into something more suitable for drinks and a night out - after the hectic day I was looking forward to just relaxing, and changing out of this dirt and tear stained outfit after the stick incident!
Last worn: olive skinny jeans, gold mouse flats, Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag. First time I've worn the scarf and tee on the blog as they are recent purchases.
Other ways to wear: olive skinny jeans for long-haul flight, gold mouse flats and pencil skirt, Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag and matching necklace.
Perfect for pregnancy: gold mouse flats in third trimester.
