What I wore:
Scarf: Alexander McQueen azure wool skull scarf
Tee: Atmos&Here charcoal grey v neck tee
Jeans: Nobody Denim Siren skinny super high-rise jeans in power black denim (c/o)
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Love cross body bag in grey
Why I wore it:
This outfit I loved! I really like these black Nobody Denim skinny jeans, they go with everything and are so comfortable to wear. They look good with Converse and I like the monochromatic look with the dark grey tee but I knew this outfit would need a little extra colour and a few extra layers for warmth on the cold winter morning school run. This red waterfall cardigan is both cosy and colourful, and really pops with the grey and black. I wanted to add even more colour and this teal and azure skull scarf was the perfect accessory. Being a thicker wool blend made it an extra good choice as it was a very chilly morning!
With the colourful layers I thought a neutral bag would be best so I wore my little grey Rebecca Minkoff love bag. It was overdue a wear!
Last worn: red waterfall cardigan, blue and teal skull scarf, grey tee, Nobody Denim skinny jeans, Converse, Rebecca Minkoff grey love bag.
Other ways to wear: red waterfall cardigan and pencil skirt, blue and teal skull scarf and maxi skirt, grey tee in monochrome outfit, Nobody Denim skinny jeans and graphic tee, Converse and maxi skirt, Rebecca Minkoff grey love bag and shorts.
Perfect for pregnancy: grey tee in second trimester, Converse in second trimester, Rebecca Minkoff grey love bag in third trimester.
30 Ways To Wear: Rebecca Minkoff Love Bag
What I wore:
Scarf: Alexander McQueen pink pashmina in skull and floral print
Tee: thrifted Cotton on grey tunic tee
Jeans: Sass & Bide Playman skinny jeans
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Love cross body bag in grey
Why I wore it:
Again with the black jeans, Converse and grey tee and bright layers. Although I didn't like this implementation of the outfit formula as much as the one above. I do love this mustard yellow cardigan worn with the yellow and pink skull scarf, it's a combination I've worn before. And while I loved the grey tee, chevron print skinny jeans and mustard cardigan together I felt I needed to add a little extra layer to keep warm when I ran a quick errand during my lunch break.I just feel that these jeans work better when they are the only statement in the outfit though, especially after looking at the pics. I liked all the pieces but I preferred the outfit before I added the scarf! Need to try wear these jeans more when it's warmer so I have to layer less.
Despite being a bit unimpressed when I looked at the photos I did like this outfit, it was comfortable and easy for working from home, a zoom meeting and running a quick errand at lunch time.
Last worn: mustard cardigan, pink and yellow skull scarf, grey tunic, chevron print jeans, Converse (above), Rebecca Minkoff Love bag (above).
Other ways to wear: mustard cardigan and orange dress, pink and yellow skull scarf with cobalt jacket, grey tunic and maxi skirt, chevron print jeans and orange, Converse for long haul flight, Rebecca Minkoff Love bag and maxi dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: pink and yellow skull scarf in third trimester, Converse in third trimester, Rebecca Minkoff Love bag in second trimester.
How You Can Wear It:
Black jeans and a grey tee is an easy monochrome outfit base you can add more colourful layers to in winter. You can pick a contrasting scarf and cardigan for a big burst of colour against the neutrals.
I love your accessories. So chic. Happy Friday.
ReplyDeleteLove that first outfit - those jeans look great on you and nothing is better than basic black with bright colors!Have a great weekend Mica!

ReplyDeleteRed is so nice:)
ReplyDeleteI think you look fab in both outfits:) I am totally digging that red waterfall cardigan, and those Sass and Bide jeans really rock. I think the two would look great together as well:D

Yes those jeans do look so good with red! :)

I really like both of these outfits. The first outfit with the blue scarf is so lovely. I like the red cardigan you wore with the grey sweater and black jeans. The grey RB mini bag is very chic as well. As for the second outfit, I think the scarf looks lovely with it because it has yellow in it that matches the cardigan but if you think the outfit looks better without the scarf, go for it and wear it that way. Those zig zag jeans are very cute.
ReplyDeleteYes I think I would repeat this outfit without the scarf!
DeleteThese look lovely, nice outfits :-D
ReplyDeleteRed and blue is always a winner in my book, so your first outfit definitely caught my eye! But the second outfit is pretty special too: I've never seen the likes of those zig-zag skinnies! xxx

Ah yes both looks are great for running errands or school runs. Love the idea of head to toe black and or gray and then adding pops of color with cardigans and scarves. I have not owned a pair of Converse in quite a while and I have the same bag in a lilac color!

I find Converse great in the cooler weather - and with my knee injury I can;t do my ankle boots as even the 1cm heel sis too much for my knee :( They are a cold weather staple for me!
DeleteWonderful outfit! I love the first one.

The red and bright blue/turquoise makes a beautiful color combination in the first outfit! These are great ways to brighten up black denim!
ReplyDeleteOooh!! I love the colors in your outfit. Red somehow magically goes with blue. I need to get myself a red cardigan. The Rebecca Minkoff bag is cute!! Reminds me of the Chanel bag hehe. Jeans are so compatible with so many different outfits. You look great in both pictures! :)

Have a lovely day 🌸
Love these looks, this is basically the structure of my wardrobe. I like to keep my basics monochrome and add in little pops of colour. I love the bag in grey too, I like that it's still neutral but a little different to classic black x

It's a great outfit formula to follow!
DeleteLove the scarves especially the pink one, I like the contrast of pink and yellow such a rare combination that works well. Hope your area doesn't have outbreaks, my state recently has though it's far from us but the news make us worry. Happy Monday!

I adore these McQueen scarves. I just started reading a book about him and John Galiano - it's very interesting.
ReplyDeleteHe was very talented, even if all I can afford are a few accessories he designed. Gone much too soon sadly!
DeleteRed and turquoise are always such a fun combo, I love the bold pop of color.
ReplyDeleteI really love the first outfit too! The bright colors really pop against the darker basics!
