Matching Scarves To Skinny Jeans - Weekday Wear Link Up

At it again with my matchy-matchy! Picking some colours out of these Fashion Scarf Girl Scarves I bought last month to build an outfit around. While I just posted these scarves last week, this time around I'm adding them to more colourful outfits with my skinny jeans. I wanted to wear them twice close together to meet my "wear any new purchase twice in the month I buy it" goal. Luckily I managed to wear both of these twice just before the end of June! Still going strong with No Buy July this month so far.

What I wore:

Why I wore it:

A colourful outfit for a bit of a sad day. Added all the colour to cheer myself up a bit, with my Sass and Bide magenta skinny jeans and purple cardigan. I really like pink and purple together so it won't be the first time I wear these pieces together! Plus the colours matched the pink and purple in the forest print of my scarf, even if the pink is a different shade.

The blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag matched the colours in the scarf too and I thought the grey tee was a good neutral piece to add to all those colours!

On this day we got to see our dog off as she went home with her family. Originally we were only going to look after her a little while, but as Coronavirus took hold things got more complicated. Plans changed a few times, so with her being with us so long it was a little hard to say goodbye, but nice to see her going home.

Why I wore it:

Again, matching the colours in a printed scarf to the colour of my jeans! The green skinny jeans work well with the green print in this scarf, and the blue Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC bag matched the blue bits nicely too! Kept the rest of my outfit a little more neutral with the black cardigan and grey long sleeve tee. I was thankful for this thicker black cardigan in the evening, as we had to again sit outside the hall for my son's sports class as there were too many people training in the venue for the COVID restrictions at the time. The cardigan and scarf kept me extra cosy on a very cold winter night!

How You Can Wear It

A a colourful printed scarf  can be so easy to wear if you match it to another colourful piece in our outfit, like I have here with the bright skinny jeans, and the cardigan in the first outfit. You can always add a neutral base like a grey tee too to balance out the colours.

  1. These are perfect casual outfits. I like combination of colors. Thank you for inspiration.

    New Post -

  2. I need a pair of bright green jeans, just like your, you rock it so well! wonderful outfits, I like both. But as for the first outfit your dog steels all of the attention: she looks like a female clone of my pup. I wish we could see them side by side

  3. Such cute colorful outfits! The scarves pair perfectly with the colored jeans. Very cute! Have a great week ahead.

  4. Mica, you have the best colors in skinny jeans! And I love the vibrant scarves added to these outfits, too. So pretty!

  5. Bright colours tend to cheer me up too on my sad days . That green scarf is so pretty, love how you styled it here . Have a lovely week ahead ..x

  6. I really like how you wear your gorgeous scarves...and with skinny jeans, the perfect combination!😊😊
You are such am inspiration...thank you so much!

    Have a super day!

    Hugs xxx

  7. I love the scarf in that first outfit! And how the pink jeans bring out the color in it!
So sad to see the doggy go, but at least you had fun while it lasted! Makes me wish I could see Layla, its been months. I guess I could text my cousin to see if he's back at work in the office and go get her, hah! (I don't like going to get her when he's home, especially now with the virus)

  8. Can always count on you to have such fun and colorful outfits! It's always so sad to say goodbye 😢

  9. Seriously coveting your scarf collection!

  10. Those scarves are both such gorgeous pieces that they deserved to be appear on your blog again. I love how you combined them with those colourful skinnies. The magenta pair is such a fabulous colour. Well done on still going strong with no buy July! Must have been sad to say goodbye to your lovely foster dog. Will you be fostering again? xxx

  11. You really are the queen of scarves:) Looking great in both outfits as always:) And so sorry to hear about your dog leaving:(
    Hope you're having a lovely day/night:)

  12. You have such a nice collection of colored pants and you wear them so well! I love both of these outfits!

  13. Such cute looks, Mica!! I love the first one and how colorful it is. It must have been so hard to give away the dog though! A fun outfit is a good way to help you through. :-) Hope you're having a great day!

    Miles of smiles,

  14. I love your bright jeans! I can imagine how hard it was to say goodbye to your foster dog. It's so easy to get attached to them.

  15. Arg, not again! the page keeps reloading on me and saying my comment was published, even though I don't see it anywhere. Sigh.

Love the outfits, great colours. Matching to a print in a scarf is exactly the same when you're wearing printed shoes (hint!). :)

Sorry to hear the dog you were caring for is leaving - I'm sure Cooper will miss him too!

Thank you so much for the linkup, I'll be joining you shortly.

  16. You have a style dear Mica :) You mixed this scarf with rest part of the outfits in perfect way :-)

I believe it was so hard to say goodbye to the dog that you and your family took care about.
Wish you a perfect day dear xx

  17. Two fabulous looks Mica. Especially loving the scarf with the first outfit, such a pretty print!
I can imagine everyone at your home got so used to having that pretty dog around and how hard it was to give it back. But I am sure his family was so happy.

  18. What a great idea: wear a new outfit twice in the month I bought it! I'm normally anxious to wear something new, but I've made several online purchases during the Covid stuff and one or two are still just hanging in my closet. I did buy two winter tops that were on a really good sale and they're packed away (hot summer here).

I can imagine how difficult it would be to send the furbaby home after you'd had him for awhile. I'm sure they appreciated you taking care of him.
    Grace & Peace,Iris

  19. Aww, sorry you had to say goodbye to your furry houseguest, I know how easy it is to get attached, some pups I board for a weekend and want them to stay forever! Love all your fun color blocking and tie ins with your scarfs!

  20. Hi Mica!

First of all so sad that you had to say goodbye to your dog :( But at least you were able to enjoy these days with this pretty one and you did a great job :)

Talking about the outfit I like when you add this kind of prints and the unexpected pop of color with the accessories, that's a great thing to do..... to play with accessories in order to add that interesting detail ;)

  21. I can imagine it was sad for you that the dog finally had to leave you. But on a brighter not I love your outfits - they match indeed perfectly and it never will stop that I like your green skinny jeans.

  22. Aww that's sad your dog had to go. I do hope your bright clothing cheered you up in some way.

  23. I imagine it was hard saying goodbye to that adorable dog. So nice you took care of it and how lovely it is going to be with a family that loves it.
Wonderful styling. The outfits that you wore are very chic. The first outfit with the magenta jeans is wonderful. The scarf is very pretty and so is the RB bag. The second outfit with the green skinny jeans is fantastic. I always loved the combo of green and blue. How pretty is that scarf! Scarves are such a nice way to accessorize. I was just thinking how they can come in hand in the case we lose our face mask or something- they can even serve as a temporary face mask. Anyhow, I do like both of these outfits.

  24. Oh I love how you matched the scarves with the skinny jeans. And the second green look is especially fun. And now just cardigans? That is warm and probably not a good sign for the environment. And yes sad to say goodbye to her but she is back with her family which is good! Hmm do I see a puppy in your future?

  25. I love the idea of matching them to your jeans, it's a great way to coordinate your outfit and add a little bit of colour. So sorry you had to say goodbye to the dog! They become like family so quickly x

  26. Matching colors can be fun and I'm loving how you paired saturated hues together in both outfits. It must've been sad to say goodbye to the dog after she stayed with you for longer than originally expected.

  27. I love the second outfit for sure. I love green and it suits you well. Shame about the dog sorry. I hope you and your family are doing well Mica : ) xo

  28. I love both outfits! You always style scarves beautifully!

I'm sorry you had to say goodbye to the dog. I remember having to take care of a dog while her owners were on a trip and it was really hard to let her go too.

  29. Your matching colors always inspire me! It is so sad you were really sad to say good bye to your lovely dog. I think she had a great time with you and your family!!

  30. Such pretty colors together! I love the green pants with your bold scarf. I also used to have a teal MAC but sold it. Such a pretty bag!
