What I wore:
Scarf: navy bird print scarf
Tee: Atmos & Here white essential v-neck tee
Jeans: Sass & Bide The Winning Day Lovestate jeans in magenta
Bag: Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull
Why I wore it:
Wore this for a very fun day at Wellington Point! We were lucky to get there when the tide was out so we could go for a walk out to King Island after lunch. When the tide is out, a sand bridge appears all the way from Wellington Point right onto the island. It's the first time we've been able to walk out there with both boys since my my now 4 old was a baby. The tide has not been in our favour before. The kids enjoyed exploring the island although I did regret the walk the next day - while it's a short walk at a couple of k's there and back, walking on sand is a bit rough on my injured knee, even though I took my shoes off to do it.I wasn't sure what the weather would be like as last time we were there it was cold and windy - so I picked a light cardigan, my navy scarf and a fun pair of magenta skinny jeans. I really like these magenta jeans with blue and the grey cardigan was a good neutral. I thought the white birds in the print matched the white v-neck tee well too! I didn't end up taking this cardigan off - it was a warm day but the sea breeze meant I kept my arms covered. Although it was busy on the beach it was nice everyone kept their distance!
Last worn: grey cardigan, bird print scarf, white v-neck tee, magenta skinny jeans, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull tote.
Other ways to wear: grey cardigan, bird print scarf and blazer, white v-neck tee and a-line skirt, magenta skinny jeans with purple, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull tote and shorts.
Perfect for pregnancy: Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull tote at 38 weeks.
What's In My Bag: Louis Vuitton Damier Azur Neverfull
What I wore:
Scarf: Stella McCartney heart print scarf
Tee: Atmos & Here black essential v-neck tee
Jeans: Jeanswest Harper skinny pant in Russet
Shoes: New Balance white and blue sneakers
Bag: Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull
Why I wore it:
A bit of a darker outfit for this cooler day! With the wet weather we headed to our local shopping centre for a bit of a browse and to pick up a few groceries. This was before the recent COVID cases in Brisbane, we are back to shopping online 99% of the time now! But it was good to get some presents for an upcoming birthday party, and treat ourselves to some new books (the kids got some Disney ones) and a Boost juice. They had a colour burst promo on so I decided to try the blue smoothie - not only was it delicious it is the first time I'd have a blue smoothie and I had to get a pic as it matched the blues in my outfit so well! The Stella McCartney heart print scarf was a bit of matchy-matchy too, with the black in the print matching the black v-neck tee. I liked the navy cardigan with the scarf too, even though they are different shades of blue I think it worked well. The burgundy jeans added a little extra colour and the Louis Vuitton neverfull bag carried all of our water bottles and some snacks for the boys, as well as all of my essentials, so I didn't need to carry the baby bag as well.
Last worn: navy waterfall cardigan, heart print scarf, black v-neck tee, burgundy skinny jeans, New Balance sneakers, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull (above).
Other ways to wear: navy waterfall cardigan worn belted, heart print scarf and stripes, black v-neck tee over a maxi dress, burgundy skinny jeans and kimono, Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull in the office.
Perfect for pregnancy: Louis Vuitton damier azur Neverfull in second trimester.
How You Can Wear It:
Navy scarves go with so much! For something a little different you can try wearing them with colourful jeans instead of the classic blue denim. It's a good way to add more colour to a classic jeans, tee and cardigan outfit in winter.

It sounds like fun to be able to walk across a sand bridge to a fun island - I bet your boys loved it! Too bad about your knee, do you know what's wrong with it? I can't remember how you injured it. My knees act up from time to time, ugh, it's no fun!
ReplyDeleteThat Stella McCartney scarf is fabulous!

Kellyann
I injured it at the start of the year, and it was healing with physio but I wasn't able to keep that up with iso and the restrictions.

I am sorry the walk hurt your knee, it looks so pretty and peaceful! I love your scarves and I sure hope I do a better job at wearing mine this fall and winter: I really did great at on my denim jackets this past year so I need to do the same with my scarves: maybe have a couple scarf days a week: I have some cute ones too.

It was a great walk, just hard work on sand, haha! Still glad I did it.
DeleteThe sand bridge and island sound fun! I'm sorry about your knee! I've had knee problems for years and it's so frustrating when you do something fun and suffer later.

Argh....I just typed a long comment but it disappeared.:( Anyhoo, just wanna say how I love both these coloured jeans, and really awesome to see how they pair well with colours that I didn't think would work well with them! Yay for being able to go to King Island, but I do hope your knee is feeling better. XOXO
ReplyDeleteThanks for sending another comment! Yes, it did heal quite quickly thankfully! :)

I love love love those magenta pants with your navy scarf! What a great color combo! Sounds like a lovely day spent along the water. We used to have a beach house in Washington state and I miss being by the water so much. And that's so cool that a sand bridge appears at low tide!! Hope you're having a great Monday so far.

How exciting it must have been to walk to the island along a sand bridge! Your outfit does look perfect for the day, incorporating all elements to keep you warm in that sea breeze. The magenta jeans, grey wrap cardi and navy bird print scarf are delightful together. This is beyond doubt my favourite of the two outfits. That Stella McCartney scarf is fabulous too! Wishing you a lovely week ahead, Mica! xxx

ReplyDeleteI hope your knee is ok or at least better now and its' true its better to make if you can shopping online- much safer xx
Take care dear
I like the white shirt by the beach with the starry scarf, looks refreshing. Sadly, we're back to being extra careful again when going outside. Contact tracing is driving me crazy. I hope you are all doing well in your side of Australia.
ReplyDeletewww.busyandfab.com
Yes it's much better to stay outdoors where we can distance - I'm glad cases are going down again too for you, we haven't had any here in QLD for 23 days.
DeleteI love both of these looks, but the one with the bird print scarf is my favorite! I always love bird prints!
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like you had a nice day at the beach (even if it was painful later)! I'd love to be able to walk to an island, but we don't really have anything like that here :)

Mica, it is no fun having knee pain. I injured my knee a year ago and am still having issues. I know at some point I will need to go have it looked at, but with Covid and just busyness, I have yet to do that. I am finding if I wear a brace (I use a stretchy one that just slides over my foot and up to my knee and fits under my pants), and take Ibuprofen in the morning, it is a lot less painful, even when I am cleaning or walking on it. I hope yours gets better soon. You look lovely friend and what a beautiful day for an outing! - Amy
ReplyDeletehttps://stylingrannymama.com/
Hope you can heal your knee! I had a year care plan with the physio but home iso and covid restrictions put an end to that, haha! I've just been careful with it and tried not to overdo it too much.
DeleteWhat an awesome adventure!!! I would love to see/experience that one day. I am sorry to hear that your knee didn't care as well. Injuries are so hard to mend and come back from. Both outfits are cute!
ReplyDeletebosbodaciousblog.blogspot.ca
Love both your outfits - especially love the sweater in the first one. Your 'days out' both sounds like a lot of fun. Hope your knee is better.

Your beach OOTD is super cozy! It must be cold there since you're layered up! I love the way the scarf popped out and your cardi has a lovely length! You look glowing and gorgeous! I'm sorry to hear about your knee as it must have been tough to walk comfortably when you feel pain. The sand can be tough to walk on even with a pair of okay knees, as the weight of the body pushes into the ground. The seaside looks beautiful and that's a good thing people kept their distance :) The second look made me realize something: You look amazing in blue! Just like when you wear mustard yellow :D xoxo
ReplyDeleteIt was a nice walk even if it hurt a little afterwards!
DeleteFantastic outfits, you always wear skinny jeans so well.
ReplyDeleteI hope one day I own a Louis Vluitton! Lol
