What I wore:
Tank: thrifted Target mixed print colourful printed tank
Skirt: Jeanswest Luxe jersey maxi skirt
Shoes: Wittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff emerald green mini 5-zip rocker bag (get 20% off with code "REAL")
Why I wore it:
I had this tank in mind for an upcoming Christmas party as I thought the red in the print would look so festive with green accessories! I really liked the way this outfit turned out. the matching necklace and Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag always look good together and with a subtle touch of red in the mixed print tank were a big festive touch. The black drawstring maxi skirt was a good base with all of the colour too!It was a hot day with a big storm in the afternoon so I was thankful for the slits in the sides of this maxi skirt, kept me cool as we ran around running errands and getting some food to take to the party.
Last worn: mixed print tank, green statement necklace, black drawstring maxi skirt, studded sandals, Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag.
Other ways to wear: mixed print tank and shorts, black drawstring maxi skirt in capsule wardrobe, studded sandals and pencil skirt, Rebecca Minkoff mini 5 zip bag and jeans.
Perfect for pregnancy: studded sandals in second trimester.
Favourite Rebecca Minkoff Bag:
What I wore:
Tank: Jeanswest Elissa leaf print tank
Skirt: thrifted Crossroads black ruffle hem maxi skirt
Shoes: Wittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals
Bracelets: the usual plus gold leaf cuff
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff red micro Avery cross body bag
Why I wore it:
I'd planned to wear a green necklace with this outfit to look really festive for our final Christmas party of the season but wasn't sure it worked with the neckline of this fern print tank when I put it on. I didn't want to wear the green necklace above again, although I thought it would work, as it had been getting a lot of wear over December!I decided to go matchy-matchy with the red necklace, Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery tote bag and red statement necklace. Even the gold leaf cuff matched the gold hardware on the bag and the leaf print on the tank.
Again we had a busy morning before the party but spent some time with friends in the playground before it got too hot. The party was really fun too and worth the wait being the last one of December!
Last worn: leaf print tank, gold leaf cuff, red statement necklace, black drawstring maxi skirt, studded sandals (above), Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery tote.
Other ways to wear: leaf print tank and blazer, black drawstring maxi skirt at Disneyland, studded sandals and shorts, Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery tote and floral dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: studded sandals in third trimester.
I'm feeling so jealous to see your summer's outfits. We all are facing chilling and freezing weather, rain and snowfall here.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt you are enjoying the sunny weather. Love both outfits.

That first print tank is gorgeous! I love the brightness. You actually had me thinking for a moment. Do we ever really dress "festive" over here for Christmas? Given the heat and all, I don't think we go all out like our Northern neighbours do we?

THE STYLE CONTOUR
My problem with Christmas parties is usually how to layer up so I don’t freeze while trying to look decent, but I might copy that formula for summer parties.
ReplyDeleteYes maybe not winter appropriate, haha! :)
DeleteI love the red bag! So cute ;)

Perfect party uniform! Very pretty, both, and well put together.
ReplyDeleteI love the first tank top on you. That's such a pretty print. I think it looks great paired with a black maxi. The RM mini bag is the perfect pairing with it as well.
ReplyDeleteI also like the second outfit and I like the matchy matchy vibe. That's another lovely printed tank top that matches the maxi well. I also like the matching red necklace and bag.

I still can't quite get my head around the fact that you are able to wear tanks at Christmas time, as I'm sure it will be for you at the thought of us wearing jumpers, opaques and boots :-) Two lovely, easy-going outfits. I'm having a slight preference for the second one, as I'm loving the subtle, yet colourful print of your tank, and the addition of the ultimate Christmas colour, red, in the form of your bag and necklace! xxx
ReplyDeletehaha it just depends on what you're used to I guess! :)
DeleteLove how you've matched your bag and necklace! Such a cute touch!
