Mulberry Foggy Grey Alexa Bag. Oversize Tee, Asos Tartan Pencil Skirt. Casual Friday Maternity Tank, Skinny Jeans

Here's what I wore to work on Thursday:

SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs black mouse flats patent leather
Bracelets: the usual plus pastel friendship bracelet C/O Seri Marea Jewellery
BagMulberry regular Alexa bag in foggy grey

This oversized tee is the other one from my order last week. So pleased with how comfy these tees are, and how well they fit the bump. Don't even care that it makes it the third version of this top that I own, as they are all different colours. ;)
I felt great all day in this outfit. Lucky to work in an office where I can pair tees and pencil skirts and still meet the dress codes. Added a bit of colour with my Mulberry Alexa bag to avoid wearing too much black.

Last worn: Ray-ban WayfarersAsos tartan maternity skirt, patent mouse flats, Mulberry Alexa bag. First time I've worn the tee as it's a recent purchase.

Here's what I wore today:

NecklaceHouse of Harlow sunburst necklace in silver and grey
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs two tone flats in blush and black
Bracelets: the usual plus Hermes pink clic clac
BagMulberry regular Alexa bag in foggy grey

A few degrees cooler today so I brought out my maternity jeans again for casual Friday. :) Picked up this Asos top a while ago for a bargain in one of their sales. The only downside is that, like most maternity tops, it's a bit long on my short frame. I've only worn it once before, in my little pregnancy announcement video, when I could tuck it into the maxi skirt. Although it was really cheap, I should probably try to get more than one wear out of it, so decided to wear it again today. I find that there are some maternity tops I can only really wear with skinny jeans, as they are too long with skirts and I'm past the stage where I can comfortably tuck things in that the waist, haha. It's why I'm trying to wear my normal tops as much as possible.

If you haven't already seen, the Rebecca Minkoff Friends and Family sale is on now! 25% off everything, including sale items, with code 'RMFAM'.
If we didn't have more baby things to buy, I'd definitely be picking up something in the sale! There are so many cute bags :)

Belted Striped Dress, Pink Accessories, Balenciaga Sorbet City | Purple Tee, Asos Maternity Pencil Skirt, Mulberry Alexa Bag

Here's what I wore to work on Tuesday:

Sunglasses: pink leopard print sunglasses from Paddy's Markets in Sydney
Necklace: gifted beaded statement necklace from local markets

Bracelets: the usual plus Hermes pink clic clacMarc by Marc Jacobs enamel turnlock stripey hinge black and white bangle
BagBalenciaga RH classic city in 2010 sorbet

Stood in front of my wardrobe trying to find something to wear for quite a while, in the end decided to go simple and wear a dress. Haven't worn this one for a couple months, and figured I should wear it before the fitted waist gets too restrictive to wear. Ended up adding a lot of pink accessories too, just seemed like the easiest choice. Had to facilitate a big meeting Tuesday afternoon so simple and comfortable was a winner.

I really like this beautiful statement necklace paired with stripes, I've worn it that way a lot. My bestie always gets me incredible gifts! :)

Thank you for all of your advice and suggestions in my last post when I asked about wearing pencil skirts in pregnancy! Today I decided to try the skirt with the top tucked in, next time I'll have to try some of the other suggestions like shorter tops and belts.

Had wanted to try and recreate this outfit pairing today, but although the skirt has an elasticated waistband, it's just not got enough give in it to accommodate the belly. I changed it for this asos maternity skirt instead. The combination of the print on the skirt and the tucked in top really seemed to emphasise the bump. It generated a lot of attention today and every now and then made me think I might have been better off wearing the tee untucked. It's fun being able to try different things and learning different ways to dress during pregnancy though. I'm grateful for every day as I know it will be no time at all until the bump is gone and I'm cradling baby in my arms :)

Sales and Outfits! | Christmas Day Dress, Boxing Day Maxi Skirt, LV Neverfull Tote Bag

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmas with friends and family!

Here's what I wore on Christmas day:
away from blue asos printed maxi dress christmas tree presents

away from the blue louis vuitton damier neverfull gold pearl diamante bracelet stack
Necklacecustom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
Dress: Asos biker print maxi dress
Shoes: Wittner 'Columbia' cross strap sandals in tan
Bracelets: the usual plus gifted gold bangle set
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

Knew this dress would be perfect to wear for Christmas. I've had it an embarrassingly long time without wearing it as it was too long, but had it shortened last week so it's much more wearable now. It has a dipped hem, but unfortunately you can't see it well in the photos as Cooper sat right in front of it! The bracelets were a birthday gift which worked perfectly with the dress.

We had a wonderful Christmas day with church in the morning, lunch at the in-laws and dinner at my parents. My sister and I received a matching pair of onesies as a Christmas gift, so near the end of the day we had changed out of our dresses and were sitting around in our onesies, haha!

Last worn: Wittner sandals, Louis Vuitton neverfull bag. First time I've worn the dress on the blog.

Here's what I wore today:
Australian Summer Outfit statement necklace pink tank jersey maxi skirt

Shoes: Wittner 'Columbia' cross strap sandals in tan
Bracelets: the usual plus beaded neon and gold and black and gold bracelet set. Disney Couture Winnie the Pooh bangle on other arm.
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

We stayed at my parent's place overnight, so we got to spend Boxing Day together today. Had the chance to wear some of my new Christmas goodies! I'd asked for bracelets for gifts and got so many nice ones that it was hard to choose what to wear first, but thought these beaded ones would go nicely with the necklace I'd packed.

Had a huge breakfast, leftovers for lunch and dinner and spent some time in the pool to cool off. It's been a busy few days for us with a bit of travel, but it's been wonderful spending time with family. Was so good to relax and spend time with everyone, as well as seeing everyone starting to use and enjoy their Christmas presents.

If you got money for Christmas, there are so many sales you can take advantage of at the moment! Below are a few, you can also view the full list on the Sales and Discounts page.

DH and I were spoiled by our friend who surprised us with a hotel stay for our Christmas present.  We have a few days down by the Gold Coast to relax, which was incredibly thoughtful and much appreciated! The weather has been lovely too.

Spent Sunday by the pool and checking out the local markets, before working at Church Online in the evening. There is no wi-fi in our room and mobile reception is patchy, so I've been instagraming (@awayfromblue) just every now and then. So glad I brought the laptop so I could use the cabled internet and still attend church. The Christmas church service has started, and it is played over 60 times this week at live.lifechurch.tv if you want to check it out.

Last worn: yellow sunglasses, grey tee, stripe maxi skirt, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff canvas stripe mini MAC.

Another relaxing day by the pool! Wore this to go out and about, with dry hair so I didn't have to scrape it into a messy updo like previously, haha!

The necklace is a recent birthday gift from my bestie, isn't it beautiful? Really enjoying wearing maxi skirts this summer, they seem to be my go-to this time. Last summer it was definitely shorts all the way!

Wanted to let you know as well that the international Net a Porter sale has started, so if you have some Christmas money or want to treat yourself to something, now is the time to buy at up to 50% off! :)

Casual Summer Singlet and Shorts, RM Mini MAC | Vintage Print on Print, Marco Tagliaferri Bag

Here's what I wore to work from home on Tuesday:
casual summer graphic tank and shorts outfit combo

metallic silver RM mini MAC bag
    Necklacecustom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
Top: Jeanswest flower graphic print grey singlet
    Shorts: Jeanswest printed denim shorts
Shoes: gifted Havaianas tropical print thongs
    Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC

Just a casual but comfortable outfit to work from home. I last wore this tank on boxing day last year, it's been almost a year since I wore it last! But I like the print, the super soft fabric, and how light it is for summer. It will stay in my wardrobe for the moment, and I'll try wear it more often to justify keeping it.

This bag I have no trouble wearing a lot - it's the perfect size for the essentials. Rebecca Minkoff have a "holiday hook-ups special" on at the moment, every day there is a new sale or discount. Today's deal is 40% off selected items with the code 'MERRYMINI'. If I hadn't recently gotten a bag for my birthday, I'd be getting the yellow one, isn't it beautiful?

Last worn: grey floral singlet, printed denim shorts, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff silver mini MAC.

Here's what I wore to work today:
vintage printed two piece suit worn together with skinny belt

    marco tagliaferri birk bag worn
NecklaceDogeared 3 Wishes stardust bead necklace
Top: vintage print top from the Thrifty Kitten
Belt: Asos metal keeper skinny waist belt in bright blue
Skirt: vintage pencil skirt from The Thrifty Kitten
ShoesNine West fascinate ballet flats in silver glitter
    Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Marco Tagliaferri first generation Birk bag in navy

And it's been a year and a half since I last wore this top...I definitely have too many clothes in my wardrobe! I've been thinking about pairing the top and skirt together for a while. When I bought the set, I didn't imagine I'd ever wear them together, but have been inspired by the way Sam from Style of Sam rocks the vintage pieces her Grandmother gives her, I thought I've give it a go and wear the pieces together the way they were intended. Apart from the top being a bit uncomfortable and moving around a lot, I think it looked okay. What do you think?

Here's what I wore to work on Friday:

Not what I really wanted to wear on Friday, but met the guidelines set down for our team day at work! I got text from colleagues the night before telling me I was required to wear a red top as part of our team uniform. One also said white, and although they corrected it to red later, I thought I would wear the white skirt to be safe. The last minute planning paid off though, and we won best dressed team on the day! :)

First time I've worn this tee in the almost 2 years I've had this blog - I have a big pile of graphic tees that used to be on high rotation and just don't get worn as much now I work in an office. I still hang onto them, because sometimes you just need a good tee!

Last worn: striped skirt, red suede flats, Balenciaga part time bag. First time I've worn this old tee on the blog.

Wore this simple jeans outfit today to take Cooper to have Santa photos done, and to go out for dinner with DH's best mate. (Although I did change into sandals for dinner). This top isn't one that gets much wear time and I was planning to make this its last chance wear before it went in the donate pile. It's tricky to wear as I need a tube top underneath because it's see-through, but I love the style and colour, so it's still staying in my wardrobe for now.

Today I wanted to share the record-breaking attempt by the Animal Welfare League of Queensland to empty all of their shelters before Christmas! In order to help do this, they have reduced the adoption price for one weekend only, this Saturday and Sunday the 7th and 8th December. They haven't relaxed their adoption requirements, just the price barrier. So if you or anyone you know has been thinking about adopting a dog or cat, now is a great time!

AWLQ is where we adopted Cooper. We will always be grateful to the organisation that took in a scared stray, gave him a life-saving operation and put him up for adoption when no-one came to claim him.

First day of summer :) Nice casual outfit for Sunday. We spent some time this morning setting up our Christmas decorations and the Christmas tree, as well as going out for lunch and running some errands. Had Church Online in the evening too. Sadly, the cold weather was sticking around from yesterday, so ended up wearing jeans again. Was hoping for much more summery weather for December, but at least the sun came out.

Last worn: sun hat, yellow sunnies, Marc Jacobs grey tee, Converse, Lodinatt bag. First time I've worn the skirt as it's a recent purchase.

On the beach of course I just wore my awesome Funkita bikini. And tried to keep my sunhat on my head, fought quite a battle with the wind through the day! Thankfully the sun was kinder and came out from behind the clouds early in the morning.

This bikini is so good, it's the 'Garden party' print from the Pixel Mix collection. Such a nice print for summer, and everything stayed in place as we jumped around in the waves (some of which were really big!) Sadly, no photos of it in action in the sea as we were swept off our feet a few times and it was quickly determined to be unwise to consider bringing electronics anywhere near the choppy water!

If you're in the market for new swimwear yourself with the warm Spring/Summer weather arriving, Funkita have a sale on at the moment. 25% off to help with preparation for the 25th December, haha! You just need to use the code 'FUNKYXMAS' at checkout to get 25% off. Lots of prints and styles on sale, and I'm definitely planning to add to my swimwear collection.

    DFO Brisbane: Shopping for Summer!

Today I had a day off of work, and a free afternoon. My mum, sister and I decided to head to DFO Brisbane to put that time to good use! Unfortunately I didn't notice my camera battery had died, so I took photos on my phone instead.

    This is what I wore:

Sunnies: gifted Cotton On 'Risky Business' sunglasses in sky blue
    Necklacecustom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
Top: Cotton On round neck zebra stripe top
    JeansJeanswest blackberry super skinny jeans
Shoes: gifted Havaianas tropical print thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus old blue beaded bracelet, gifted purple Salvatore Ferragamo 'Vara' leather bow bracelet, gifted Eiffel Tower bracelet.
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB mini in soft grey

Last worn: blue sunglasses, printed top, purple skinny jeansprinted HavaianasRebecca Minkoff mini MAB.

I have had a great time as a DFO Official Blogger, shopping for Spring accessories and Father's Day gifts. This time, we were on the hunt for some new summer clothes. We had a little break and some delicious chocolate cake too, as nothing beats a mid-shop stop to refuel!

Roxy is a recent addition to Brisbane DFO, so we went there first. Everything was 70% off and there was a huge range to chose from, but in the end I couldn't go past this cute navy skirt. Even the sales assistant was commenting on the gorgeous print.

We had bikinis on our mind when we headed to Seafolly, but I was easily distracted from the great swimwear when I saw the ombre maxi skirt. Just knew that it had to come home with me. It has slits up either side to the knee, so it will be perfect for Brisbane's summer heat.

City Beach was next, and with dresses starting at just $20, we tried on a few! The search for the perfect bikini came to an end though when a stripy purple one was spotted.

These are some of the pieces I came home with:
    • Seafolly runaway maxi skirt in sunset. Was $119.95, reduced to just $59.95
    • City Beach Fiesta striped purple bikini. Was $69.99, reduced to just $30.
    • Roxy succulents pleated skirt in Indigo. Was $79.99, reduced to just $23.99.

Perfect for summer and beach weather, don't you think? What's your favourite from the items I bought or tried on?

Brisbane DFO: located at Skygate; 1 Airport Drive, Brisbane. Open 7 days, 10am - 6pm.
You can sign up to the mailing list to receive VIP offers on the DFO website, and keep informed on the DFO Brisbane facebook page.

Note: some compensation was received for this post. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A nice simple outfit today with a bit of colour for all the running around I had to do at work today. Actually thought up a replacement outfit last night, but went with this in the morning as it was easier than changing around and risking running out of time to get to work, haha.

Work has been a little hectic this week - so Tuesday it was time to pull out a comfortable outfit! This tee is another one of my purchases from my DFO shopping trip on the weekend. As usual, I bought lots in Jeanswest, haha. Tried to take a photo to show off the colourblocking, as the back of this tee is pink. You can see a better pic on instagram.

Linking up with Three-fer Thursday, Spotlight linkup weekly today.

I've shared a couple of times on the blog about the presentation group we have had in the office the past two months. Today was the final session where we had to present to the entire department and show them what we had learned. I was extremely nervous! Wore heels for a bit of a confidence boost, and a pretty dress. Was so pleased by everyone who turned up to support us, and all of the encouraging things people said afterwards. I know I have a lot further to go, but I've really improved my public speaking. Had a big slice of cake afterwards as a reward! :)

Last worn: Warehouse blazer, glitter beltWittner heels, Balenciaga work bag. First time I've worn the dress as it is a new purchase.

Thought I'd share with you that the Melbourne designed Kiargo and Funkita Form swimwear labels are having an end of season sale! Although it's been too cold to swim in the pool this month and I've just been using it as a photo backdrop, I'm hoping in September I'll be able to enjoy taking a dip now and then. No harm in stocking up on swimwear now while it's on sale ;) I really like the Mansfield bikini for classic pool-side glamour.
