Threadless Tee, Stripe Skirt, Bal Part Time | Cami and Jeans, RM Mini MAC, AWLQ Adoption Drive

Here's what I wore to work on Friday:
away from blue blogger casual Friday summer office skirt outfit australia

away from blue balenciaga worn 2010 black GSH G21 silver hardware part time bag
Tee: Threadless girly 'MP(3)' red tee
SkirtCheap Monday interrupted stripe skirt in grey
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs suede flats in red
Bracelets: the usual
BagBalenciaga part time in black 2010 with GSH

Not what I really wanted to wear on Friday, but met the guidelines set down for our team day at work! I got text from colleagues the night before telling me I was required to wear a red top as part of our team uniform. One also said white, and although they corrected it to red later, I thought I would wear the white skirt to be safe. The last minute planning paid off though, and we won best dressed team on the day! :)

First time I've worn this tee in the almost 2 years I've had this blog - I have a big pile of graphic tees that used to be on high rotation and just don't get worn as much now I work in an office. I still hang onto them, because sometimes you just need a good tee!

Last worn: striped skirt, red suede flats, Balenciaga part time bag. First time I've worn this old tee on the blog.

Here's what I wore today:
coral cami and jeans casual weekend outfit RM mini MAC

away from blue rebecca minkoff silver mini MAC
NecklaceHouse of Harlow sunburst necklace in silver and grey
Top: Jeanswest 'Kara' coral pleated cami
Jeans: Jeanswest 'spoylt' super skinny jeans
Shoes: gifted black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual
BagRebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC

Wore this simple jeans outfit today to take Cooper to have Santa photos done, and to go out for dinner with DH's best mate. (Although I did change into sandals for dinner). This top isn't one that gets much wear time and I was planning to make this its last chance wear before it went in the donate pile. It's tricky to wear as I need a tube top underneath because it's see-through, but I love the style and colour, so it's still staying in my wardrobe for now.

Today I wanted to share the record-breaking attempt by the Animal Welfare League of Queensland to empty all of their shelters before Christmas! In order to help do this, they have reduced the adoption price for one weekend only, this Saturday and Sunday the 7th and 8th December. They haven't relaxed their adoption requirements, just the price barrier. So if you or anyone you know has been thinking about adopting a dog or cat, now is a great time!

AWLQ is where we adopted Cooper. We will always be grateful to the organisation that took in a scared stray, gave him a life-saving operation and put him up for adoption when no-one came to claim him.

Last worn: coral cami, Jeanswest jeans, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC.

  5. The tee is cool, can't beat a graphic tee, but what I really love is your hair in the second picture...gorgeous! Wouldn't it be great if they found a home for all the rescues? One of our girls (the pug-a-bull mix) is a rescue and every time I look at her I'm thankful someone found her and kept her safe until she found her forever home with us.

  16. Love that striped skirt and that pink top! So glad your group won! Yaaaay! That's awesome. Tops like that can be tricky, but you handled it well Mica. That's great about adopting a pet. I hope they had a good turn out.

    1. Oh sorry for not making it clearer! It's the first time I've worn it on the blog, but I used to wear it a lot. Working in an office I don't have an opportunity to wear tees much any more.

  22. i totally have the same issue with graphic tees -- it's hard to wear them when you work in an office! it's so nice the AWLQ is trying to find all of their animals home for the holidays. i hope they can make it happen!

    1. They did so well - they rehomed over 160 animals in one weekend! Although there were still 16 left in 2 of the shelters, they managed to completely empty one and made lots of room for all of the unwanted puppies and kittens that are being surrendered to them.
