DFO Brisbane: Shopping for Summer!

Today I had a day off of work, and a free afternoon. My mum, sister and I decided to head to DFO Brisbane to put that time to good use! Unfortunately I didn't notice my camera battery had died, so I took photos on my phone instead.

This is what I wore:

Sunnies: gifted Cotton On 'Risky Business' sunglasses in sky blue
Necklacecustom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
Top: Cotton On round neck zebra stripe top
JeansJeanswest blackberry super skinny jeans
Shoes: gifted Havaianas tropical print thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus old blue beaded bracelet, gifted purple Salvatore Ferragamo 'Vara' leather bow bracelet, gifted Eiffel Tower bracelet.
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB mini in soft grey

Last worn: blue sunglasses, printed top, purple skinny jeansprinted HavaianasRebecca Minkoff mini MAB.

I have had a great time as a DFO Official Blogger, shopping for Spring accessories and Father's Day gifts. This time, we were on the hunt for some new summer clothes. We had a little break and some delicious chocolate cake too, as nothing beats a mid-shop stop to refuel!

Roxy is a recent addition to Brisbane DFO, so we went there first. Everything was 70% off and there was a huge range to chose from, but in the end I couldn't go past this cute navy skirt. Even the sales assistant was commenting on the gorgeous print.

We had bikinis on our mind when we headed to Seafolly, but I was easily distracted from the great swimwear when I saw the ombre maxi skirt. Just knew that it had to come home with me. It has slits up either side to the knee, so it will be perfect for Brisbane's summer heat.

City Beach was next, and with dresses starting at just $20, we tried on a few! The search for the perfect bikini came to an end though when a stripy purple one was spotted.

These are some of the pieces I came home with:
  • Seafolly runaway maxi skirt in sunset. Was $119.95, reduced to just $59.95
  • City Beach Fiesta striped purple bikini. Was $69.99, reduced to just $30.
  • Roxy succulents pleated skirt in Indigo. Was $79.99, reduced to just $23.99.

Perfect for summer and beach weather, don't you think? What's your favourite from the items I bought or tried on?

DFO Brisbane: Shopping For Spring Accessories

Today was a fun girls day out! We started our day at DFO Brisbane, shopping for spring accessories, and ended the day with dinner and drinks.

We all had such a great time at DFO, and came home with at least one shopping bag each! Nothing beats the giggles and quality time you get shopping together with friends. There were plenty of different stores to keep us all interested, and with up to 70% off, something to fit everyone's budget.

Our main destinations for Spring accessories were Oroton and Forever New, although of course we stopped in to check out the other amazing sales going on in the outlets! I shared some photos of our shopping on instagram as it happened, but here's a reveal of the accessories I bought:

  1. Oroton vanity-jewellery roll in pink. The pink is such a cheerful Spring colour, will brighten up the inside of any bag! Was $125, reduced to $50.
  2. Forever New 'Poppy' gunmetal embellished clutch. Caught my eye from across the store, the perfect Spring bling! Was $49.95, reduced to $34.95.
  3. Forever New 3 pack belts in orchid petal / glitter / white croc. Great pastel belts for a new season colour update to winter dresses. Was $19.95, reduced to $4.95.
  4. Forever New coral / white wrap around charm bracelet. Such a cute piece, couldn't resist picking it up to add some colour to bracelet stacks. Was $16.99, reduced to $7.95.

Some great bargains there, I saved $114! Enough for another shopping trip.... What do you think of my purchases?

Wearing my new custom necklace from Silhoupette today - it's a little silhouette of Cooper! Absolutely adore it, when it arrived yesterday I was showing everyone in the office who came up to my desk, haha. I ordered it a while ago, and as it was completely custom made it took a few weeks to arrive, but it's definitely worth the wait.

Also, I'm wearing jeans and a tee today as it's Brisbane show day - so everyone in Brisbane has a public holiday for the Ekka. Last year we went to the Ekka, but this year we stayed home. Didn't get up to much as my knee is still playing up a little, trying to do light exercise to build it up again.

Linking up with Three-fer Thursday, Friday's Fancies, Friday's Fab Favourites, Friday's FiveCasual Friday and Fashion and Faith today.

Last worn: blue sunniessnake print tee, skinny jeans, silver flats, Balenciaga day bag.

Accidentally slept in this morning, so got ready in half the time and grabbed a very quick couple of photos before running to work. Didn't notice the hair over my face until afterwards...but at least I made it to work on time :)

You may have noticed a new badge on my blog in the top right, or on my instagram ;)

I'm a blogger for Brisbane DFO! I'm so excited! I often shop the local factory outlets at Brisbane airport, to buy new clothes or presents or things I need for trips. It's somewhere I make sure to take my friends and relatives to when they visit, as there is always something to buy and lots of bargains with things up to 70% off!

The majority of my wardrobe consists of sale purchases, and a lot of them come from DFO. To provide an example, the snakeprint tee I wore Wednesday, and the top and pencil skirt I'm wearing today are all DFO purchases!

Very excited about this new role and looking forward to sharing more about DFO with you in the coming weeks. Thank you to all of my new and long term readers for supporting me and making this possible :) As always, if you have any questions or comments or suggestions, the comment box is there.

Last worn: sheer white top, Review pencil skirt, studded flats, Marc by Marc Jacobs Hillier hobo.
