What I wore:
Necklace: handmade silver and gold faux pearl beaded necklace
Tee: Anko Kmart short sleeve slub v-neck tee in blu marine
Skirt: thrifted NWT Beginning Boutique Sahara red-orange maxi skirt
Shoes: Kmart tan crossover slides
Bracelets: the usual plus Vinnies blue and natural wooden bead bracelet stack
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff yellow mini 5 zip
Why I wore it:
I got this blue tee from mum for Christmas and knew it would be perfect with this red tiered maxi skirt I thrifted last year. I really like blue and red together! I added a little extra colour with the yellow mini 5 zip bag. It's a fun pop with the red.The necklace is one I made from some old thread I had. I had thrifted a faux suede threaded beaded necklace and it kept snapping, our climate is not great for faux leather as the humidity makes it disintegrate. So I rebuilt the necklace on thread as best as I could, but had these beads left over. Decided to make them into a little necklace of their own. I liked the simplicity of this resulting necklace.
Very colourful for a quiet day, just a couple of errands to run and an appointment in the afternoon.

Why I wore it:
This was a much hotter and more humid day than the one above, so I went with this super lightweight viscose maxi skirt. Like the maxi skirt above, it's an opshop find, and with the light viscose and the side slits it's perfect on a hot day. Again I added the yellow Rebecca Minkoff mini 5-zip bag, and went a little matchy-matchy with the chartreuse necklace. I think the pieces are far enough apart in my outfit that you don't notice they aren't a perfect match as much, and I enjoyed the two pieces together last time I paired them. I wore my coral brushstroke stripe tank, as it's also a nice light material.
We had a couple of errands to run and an event at the library for the kids. It was nice to spend some time in the aircon at the shops and at the library. We have attended a lot of library events over the school holidays, they had some really fun things on that the kids enjoyed as much as this session. Again I just wore these simple slides, it was too hot for closed in shoes.
