Blue is my favourite colour, although I do try to wear others and not just wear it every day! A monochrome blue outfit is always one that makes me happy. You can keep it easy and simple with a dress. A plain basic is a good partner for a printed piece if you're wearing separates, and I'm showing you how to wear both.
What I wore:
Shoes: Rebecca Minkoff Georgina studded gladiator sandals in blush (on sale, 44% off with two sizes left! Also 30% off here in all sizes!)
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC in aquamarine with python embossed leather (on sale!)
Why I wore it:
When you're not sure what to wear, a printed dress is an easy instant outfit. It's been such a long time since I wore this dress! Last time I wore it I was actually pregnant with baby boy. It's not breastfeeding friendly so it's been an unsuitable choice before. It was so good to get it out again. No teething necklace needed as the tassels on the dress keep baby amused! It was perfect for a morning spent with my sister who was happy to keep baby amused while I had my drivers licence renewed, and then we went out for lunch. I even wore makeup to make the photo look better, but of course it's a drivers license photo so I still look terrible in it as you aren't allowed to smile!
Last worn: boho printed dress, Georgina studded sandals, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC.
Other ways to wear: boho printed dress and ankle boots in spring, studded sandals and denim shorts, Rebecca Minkoff aqua mini MAC and a little black dress.
Perfect for pregnancy: boho print dress in second trimester.

What I wore:
Sunnies: Ray-Ban new Wayfarers
Necklace: Ruby Olive Softies Charlotte teething necklaceTee: Kmart blue marle tee
Shorts: Jeanswest 'Scarlette' printed shorts
Shoes: Balenciaga studded sandals in sorbet RGGH
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAB mini in soft grey
Why I wore it:
Had a quiet day when I wore this - a few errands (like picking up a cake!) and then a special family birthday dinner in the evening. I've mentioned a few times when I've worn these shorts that during my wardrobe detox session the personal stylist suggested wearing them with similar colours to create a monochrome outfit. While I've worn it with contrasting colours too, I do like pairing these shorts with other blue pieces. Added the fun pink Balenciaga studded sandals and the colourful teething necklace for a little brightness with all of the blue. This tee is a 'wardrobe basic' piece that I bought in October. However, this is only it's third wear since then! 3 wears in 7 months really isn't great, especially since I've not been shopping for 5 of those months and have added nothing to my wardrobe. A marle tee is a good basic, but this was my second choice after they didn't have my size in a white tee, and maybe I should have held off for a white one. Will be keeping it in my wardrobe though, just not wearing it as much as I hoped. At $3 though it's not a bad cost per wear already!
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, blue marle tee, printed shorts, Balenciaga studded sandals, Rebecca Minkoff MAB mini.
Other ways to wear: blue tee and chambray skirt, printed shorts and yellow tank, Balenciaga studded sandals and chambray dress, Rebecca Minkoff MAM and pink jeans.

How You Can Wear It:
Printed pieces make monochrome outfits more interesting as you aren't just wearing a block of one colour. It's a nice way to ease into a monochrome outfit. If you're unsure about the perfect pieces to pair together, a printed dress is an easy instant option that will always look good with any accessories.
