What I wore:
Earrings: Lovisa mini mustard tassel earrings
Necklace: For King & Country Priceless Australian coin and crest necklaceDress: Zaful floral print ruffle hem dress in ginger with leggings underneath
Shoes: Walnut Melbourne 'Ava' black lizard ballet flats (also available in silver)
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff red micro Avery cross body bag
Why I wore it:
This dress is one that I love but so rarely wear! The statement sleeves look so pretty but they don't make mum life easy as they frequently get in the way. Decided to wear this out to church in the morning, after everyone had breakfast as I didn't feel like making porridge making and attempting to clean up the breakfast bowls after with the long bell sleeves! 😂I had considered ankle boots with this but decided on ballet flats instead - the black flats go nicely with the black leggings and I felt quite cosy on a cold morning. As well as matching the shoes and leggings together, I picked my mustard tassel earrings to match the dress. The bag was a bit of a different choice - the floral print is more burgundy - but I really liked the autumnal combination of mustard and cherry red together.
Last worn: mustard tassel earrings, mustard floral swing dress, coin necklace, black leggings, black ballet flats, Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery tote bag.
Other ways to wear: mustard floral swing dress in summer, black ballet flats in the office, Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery tote bag and maxi skirt.
Perfect for pregnancy: black leggings in third trimester, black ballet flats in third trimester.
What's In My Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Micro Avery Tote:
What I wore:
Necklace: Kmart rose gold and pink beaded necklace
Dress: Shein navy flower print flowy dress (c/o)
Shoes: Asos leather Chelsea boots in tan
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff red micro Avery cross body bag
Why I wore it:
Another floral swing dress! Again, I stuck with the Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery bag, although this time it perfectly matched the floral print on the dress. It's not the first time I've worn this dress with a denim jacket, it's a nice layer for autumn and it turned into such a nice day I took the jacket off in the middle of it.This was a pretty outfit for the busy day. The grandparents watched the boys for a little bit while I popped to the doctors for an uncomfortable but necessary appointment (get your pap smear regularly!).
Wile the bag matched the floral print, the blush necklace was a last minute addition. Although I wasn't sure about the pink and red together, I really liked the rose gold on the necklace matching the gold hardware on the micro Avery bag. Ended up loving the combination!
Last worn: denim jacket, blush and rose gold beaded necklace, floral swing dress, Asos Chelsea boots, Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery tote (above).
Other ways to wear: denim jacket and red skirt, floral swing dress in summer, Asos Chelsea boots and pants, Rebecca Minkoff micro Avery tote and shorts.
Perfect for pregnancy: denim jacket in second trimester, Asos Chelsea boots in second trimester.

Mica, I love that second dress from Shein - it is so pretty! It's funny how little things like sleeves get in the way when we're busy moms. I love that first dress too and I'm glad you were able to wear it.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend!
xo,
Kellyann
haha yes it's not the best dress for all of mum life!
DeleteStatement sleeves are definitely hard to work with (although I have a great fondness for them) - I just love that mustard printed dress so much and the sleeves definitely add a lot to it. It's also just an insanely lovely colour.

yes I like them too, just a shame they aren't the most practical!
DeleteI just love the color of the yellow dress. I have that same issue with some statement sleeves. You might be able to shorten those and take off that ruffle on the bottom to make it more functional!!!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful Mother's Day weekend, Mica,

ReplyDeleteYou look amazing in that yellow dress, Mica! Wow! That is one of my favourite outfits of yours, for sure. I like the second outfit too, but I'm just so blown away by that first one. I love the pop of the bright tomato-y red of the purse - I think that was a good call.

Oooh, I love the color of your dress! That shade of yellow has been super trendy lately - I know I want some in my closet, hehe. I like the pairing with the Rebecca Minkoff bag. I love how versatile it is with different outfits and you don't need to wear a specific color. I like that the floral swing dresses are super affordable! I need to buy some for the spring!!

As a big fan of dresses, and especially colourful, floral ones, your first outfit put a big smile on my face. What a fun dress, especially combined with that eye-popping red bag. But I'm loving your second outfit equally, which I think is very stylish! Have a wonderful weekend, Mica! xxx
ReplyDeleteThat navy shift dress is so cute! The red RM bag really makes the pattern along the bottom pop!

I really like the dress! I've had mixed results too, I need to remember to check the length when I order, then I get along with what I buy better, haha!

ReplyDeleteI love the swing-type dresses. They're so versatile for wearing with jeans or leggings or by themselves. Both of yours are beautiful! I love the yellow floral but I also love the wide hem detail on the navy one - can't choose a favorite this time. And that little red bag is the PERFECT accessory for both!
