Post Christmas Sales, Curves and Cat Eyes Style Challenge Outfits

I hope you had a wonderful Christmas! If you got some gift cards or some money you're looking to spend in the Boxing Day sales, check out the Sales and Discounts page. I've added some sales info to the bottom of the post too. Happy shopping!

Continuing on with my behind-in-blogging catch up posts, sharing more of my Fox in Flats DAREcember Style Challenge outfits.

Here's what I wore to have lunch with my colleagues:
Nursing Friendly Outfit post baby non maternity wrap dress pink sandals
Dress: Jeanswest floral wrap dress
ShoesBalenciaga studded sandals in sorbet RGGH

As work starts to slow down a little around Christmas time, I took the chance to go into the city in the afternoon to have a leisurely lunch with some colleagues. I'm so thankful for my friend K organising everything for me, I just had to turn up. I was really nervous about how baby would behave, in a noisy restaurant while people were trying to talk and eat....but he did really well! Let me have a proper 'grown up lunch', smiling away and playing quietly as we chatted. I think feeding him before hand and being ready to feed him at the table if needed helped a bit.

The style prompt for the day was 'curves', and dressing post-baby curves is sometimes tricky I'll be honest! But a wrap dress flatters all curves - from little ones to large ones! The tie and the print helps draw attention away from the baby belly. Thought the dress was good for meeting the challenge for the day, and looking put-together enough for lunch with everyone dressed up in business attire.

Last worn: printed wrap dress, Balenciaga studded sandals.

Here's what I wore to go to a Christmas party:
Mothers Group Christmas Party Outfit Rebecca Minkoff Boy Bag Feather Print Maxi Dress
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Necklace: Chanel necklace
Dress: JayJays feather print maxi dress
ShoesBalenciaga studded sandals in sorbet RGGH
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff Love cross body bag in grey

The style challenge for the day was 'cat eyes', mentioning sunnies or eye-liner. I don't have cat eye sunnies and I couldn't find the lonely and very old eye-liner I have. I thought this dress kind of fitted the theme, as the peacock feather print has 'eyes' on it? Definitely stretching it with this outfit!

Was a comfortable and pretty outfit to wear to baby T's Christmas party though! We had a little catch up with the ladies from the mother's group who hadn't yet gone away for Christmas, and exchanged gifts for the babies. It was a lot of fun! I took the chance to wear my new handbag too, the Rebecca Minkoff Love bag. Mum got me it for my birthday, I'm so happy as I've been wanting it a while. Definitely wouldn't be able to get the Chanel boy bag, this is a cute alternative option I've been hoping for since I first saw it. Didn't really need a handbag, as I only popped out to the shops quickly before the party and could have just put my stuff in the baby bag, but wanted to use my new bag.

Last worn: wayfarers, feather print maxi dress, Balenciaga sandals (above). First time I've worn the handbag as it was a recent gift.

As mentioned, there are a few sales around! I'm keeping the Sales and Discount page up to date, but I've included a few below too to save you clicking through.

Christmas Maxi Dress Outfit, Casual Shorts and Print Mixing. Balenciaga Bags

Two more Fox in Flats Darecember style challenge outfits I've worn. The first is what I wore for an early Christmas, maxi dresses are always a favourite of mine for Christmas, forgiving after you've stuffed yourself with delicious food!

Hope you have a wonderful Christmas! Just a few more sleeps!

Here's what I wore to celebrate Christmas with hubby's family:
Jeanswest snake print maxi dress Balenciaga sang GSH flat clutch
DressJeanswest grey snake print maxi dress
Shoes: Asos 'five star' leather sandals (new purchase)
Bracelets: the usual plus silver charm bracelet
BagBalenciaga flat clutch GSH in 2010 Sang

A Christmas outfit already! As some of hubby's family were going overseas, we held a big get-together for an early Christmas. We exchanged gifts, ate a yummy Christmas meal and had fun celebrating early.

I'd made the decision this year not to buy a new dress to celebrate Christmas in, partly because we will be having so many Christmas get-togethers! I still hadn't decided what dress I'd wear to each Christmas event when I saw that the style challenge for the day was 'bare back', and this backless maxi seemed like a great choice for the party.

The clutch wasn't really necessary as I left it in the baby bag the whole time anyway, it just helped me feel a little more "dressed up" for the occasion. I wasn't sure about the pale pink sandals and the red clutch, but felt they were far enough apart that it didn't matter that they didn't match. I was eager to wear my new shoes!

It makes me really happy to see that the last time I wore this dress, I was pregnant and going for an evening out with hubby. Our last baby-free dinner date! This is a more casual and dressed down look then before.

Last worn: snake print maxi dress, Balenciaga flat clutch. First time I've worn the sandals.

Here's what I wore to go out without baby T:
Summer Print Mixing outfit grey stripe tee Jeanswest printed shorts Bal day bag
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Tee: Cotton On 'Asher' short sleeve tee in white and grey marl deck stripe
ShortsJeanswest 'Scarlette' printed shorts (on sale, 40% off!)
ShoesAsos 'five star' leather sandals
BagBalenciaga giant hardware Day bag in 2009 tempete

My favourite of my style challenge outfits so far, 'print mixing' was the prompt and I knew stripes would be one of my prints. I do wear a lot more stripes now!

Wore this out to go into the city for the first time without baby T. He stayed at home as DH and I caught up after work to view the results of the family photo shoot we'd had a few days earlier. (I didn't get blog photos of my photo shoot outfit, it was just jeans and a tee). It was a really strange experience being in the city by myself! It was such a hot day I was glad I'd picked a simple outfit to wear as I got a little lost trying to find my way to the photo studio on foot.

So soon after the first wear above, this is the second wear of my new shoes, so my thoughts:

I'm really pleased I snapped these up in the Asos sale, I felt I needed a nice simple sandal option for those days when I want to be a little more dressed up than I am in my trusty Havaianas. I've owned a few Asos leather sandals, they always last a couple years and are super cheap, so I'm happy with this purchase and see the shoes being worn a fair bit. Hope you've enjoyed reading along as I analyse all my new purchases - it's certainly making me think more about things I buy and actually helping me to buy less, even though it's only been a few months since I started sharing my purchase reviews on the blog.

While I'm happy to have added the shoes to my wardrobe, this tee is leaving! I've worn it three times on the blog since I bought it (here, here and now), which isn't a lot for something I've had 2 years. It sounds good, a grey striped tee, and it was a bargain, so good that I picked it up and bought it without even trying it on. I've never been completely happy with it any time I've worn it, and this time around was the same, I worried it was sitting oddly or that the stripes looked weird...I have other striped tees and other grey tees I love more, so this tee is going in the donate pile. No point in holding onto and wearing something I don't love.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarersstriped tee, printed shorts, leather sandals (above), Balenciaga Tempete Day bag.

Comfortable Dressing: Black Maxi Skirts and Tanks. Animal Print, Sparkle and Stripes

2 more DARECEMBER style challenge outfits, and it just happened to be two black maxi skirt outfits! A very comfortable couple of days.

Here's what I wore to go out to the post office:
Tank: Jeanswest animal print racer back singlet
SkirtJeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

The style challenge for the day was "in the wild" so I knew I'd have to wear something with a bit of animal print in it. Went with this tank. Last time I wore it I mentioned that although it's rarely worn, it always seems to survive my wardrobe clear outs. I think that's because while I don't love it, there's nothing wrong with it. It's comfortable and easy to wear, and the print is different from any of my other tanks. I wore it with the intention of finally making my mind up about if it should stay or go in my wardrobe, and to be honest I'm still on the fence! So it's staying in my wardrobe again for now, will see how I feel next time I wear it!

This was a casual and comfy outfit - I didn't have much to do so comfort was the most important thing. We spent the morning finally setting up the Christmas tree (so behind with that!) and then in a break in the drizzle I went out for a walk with baby T and Cooper as we had to mail some parcels. Was a little bit behind with Christmas presents and cards too!

Last worn: animal print tank, black maxi skirt, Havaianas, Marc by Marc Jacobs baby bag.

Here's what I wore to go out in the morning and have lunch in the afternoon:
TopFrench Connection feather foil singlet
SkirtTarget black and white striped maxi skirt
Shoes: Wittner 'Jasmarie' studded sandals

A little bit of a busy day! Baby T and I went to the library rhyming session with my mother in law, and then we went out for a family lunch in the afternoon with everyone. It didn't take long for baby T to leave his milky mark on this tank, but hopefully the pretty sparkle distracted everyone from the spit-up!

The style challenge for the day was "all black", but I thought I'd be a little different by adding some stripes and colour through the glitter on the tank. As it was another rainy day, the darker outfit seemed quite fitting. Again, no bag of my own as I just carried the baby bag.

You might notice the difference in quality between the first and last photos! In all the excitement of setting up the Christmas decorations and taking lots of photos of baby T's first Christmas tree...I managed to damage my camera. The lens hit the ground and it's definitely not in working order any more. I've been on maternity leave for 6 months now, and with Christmas as well....the budget can't really stretch to replace the camera. Thankfully, the camera was insured against accidents (for clumsy people like me!). It means it won't cost us much to fix it, but we do have to go through the process laid out by the insurer. There are a lot of insurance claims at the moment in Brisbane after the super storms we had a few weeks back, so it is completely understandable that the claim to fix my camera is quite low priority.

I've reverted back to the little point and shoot I first used for the blog. It will be self timer photos for a while. I don't know how long I'll have to use this camera for, but hopefully not long. I'd really like to have my camera back and fixed so I can take lots of photo and video for baby's first Christmas....just reminding myself that I'm lucky to have still kept my old camera to fall back to, and that the camera was insured and that the claim we are waiting on is for something so small and non-essential.

Last worn: glitter singlet, striped maxi skirt, studded sandals.

Orange Kisses and Gold (Neon Leopard Print, Bracelet Stack and Maxi Skirt)

Two more Fox in Flats Darecember outfits! I'm participating in the style challenge each day on instagram, and blogging the outfits I manage to get photos of.

Here's what I wore to do some Christmas shopping:
Sass and Bide New day rising neon leopard tee skinny jeans
Tee: Sass and Bide 'New Day Rising' tee in orange leopard print
JeansJeanswest Super Skinny Jeans in Mid Indigo
Shoes:  black slim Havaianas thongs

The style challenge for the day was "orange kisses". I was thinking of doing orange accessories, until I remembered this tee in my wardrobe. The neon orange seemed like the best fit - as I don't own any orange lippy. I only have one lipstick actually, the same shade I wore to my wedding, just a really simple natural colour. I'm not a big lipstick fan.

Nice jeans and a tee outfit for a bit of Christmas shopping. No necklace, as I felt the tee was attention grabbing enough. Hopefully no one looked too closely at what I was wearing though, as I realised at the end of the day when I got undressed that there was a big broccoli stain on the tee from baby T's breakfast! I hadn't looked in a mirror after he'd eaten. Nobody said anything so maybe I got away with it ;) I had thought I was clever getting up, dressed and taking outfit pictures before baby had even woken up too. Pyjamas are a much safer option for breakfast with baby!

Last worn: leopard print tee, skinny jeans, Havaianas.

Here's what I wore to go shopping with my sister:
Brown printed tank asos colour block maxi skirt Brisbane city shopping outfit
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
NecklaceHouse of Harlow Dynamic necklace in gold
Top: Jeanswest floral print brown ribbed tank
SkirtAsos colour block maxi skirt in red (on sale!)
Shoes: Wittner 'Columbia' cross strap sandals in tan
Bracelets: the usual plus pink and gold bracelet stack
Bag:  Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

I rediscovered this top during one of my wardrobe clean outs in pregnancy, and I'm so glad I did. It was my old favourite for a while, and it makes me smile every time I wear it.

The style challenge for the day was "gold", which is such an easy one! I had a few outfit options to chose from. I really wanted to wear my metallic skinny jeans, they would have been perfect for this! But it was so hot and humid I decided on gold accessories instead.

The skirt and sandals were worn together previously too! The shoes will be worn a bit over summer, as they are a slightly dressier option than my usual default of my Havaianas thongs.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarersbrown tank, colour block maxi skirt, leather sandals, LV Neverfull tote.

Denim Shorts Outfits! #ShareYourShorts

Summer shorts outfits! I had this post scheduled and then I came across the Mystery Case #ShareYourShorts summer challenge on instagram thanks to the lovely KimbaLikes. A very fitting post to have lined up. Shorts are a wonderful summer (and spring!) option. I am definitely a shorts fan, one of my pregnancy wardrobe essentials was my Jeanswest maternity shorts!

Here's what I wore to run some errands:
Jeanswest denim shorts printed tank house of harlow sunburst necklace
SunniesRayban new Wayfarers
NecklaceHouse of Harlow sunburst necklace in silver and grey
TankJeanswest 'Rowena' print tank
ShortsJeanswest black denim cuff shorts
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
BagRebecca Minkoff mini MAC with python embossed leather in aquamarine

I really liked this outfit! I just love this top, despite only having worn it three times before . Although I can't remember what outfit I had in mind, I do remember being just a smidgen upset when the growing baby bump meant I couldn't wear this tank one day during my pregnancy. It lead to a "I have nothing to wear" rant/meltdown, fuelled by pregnancy hormones and being overemotional! My wardrobe was fun to play in, but also a bit challenging when pregnant. This top ended up buried at the back of my wardrobe and got a little bit forgotten as the bump grew even bigger. I was happy to find it and pull it out again post-baby, as it didn't get a good run when I first bought it last year.

Didn't have anything special planned for the day, I just had to pick up a few things at Woolies quickly in the morning, and then had some tradies round at the house. We are trying to get quotes for some work, which is taking longer than usual as I try to schedule things around baby T's unpredictable nap times. Thought this necklace was nice with the top to add an extra little bit of interest. It didn't stay on long though, took it off when we got back home after the grocery run.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, printed tank, denim shorts, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC.

Here's what I wore to spend the day with my mum:
Spring Denim Shorts Outfit Stripes Ankle Boots Skull Scarf Alexander McQueen
ScarfAlexander McQueen skull scarf in light blue
TopAtmos&Here navy stripe v-neck tee
Shorts: Jeanswest printed denim shorts
ShoesAcne pistol boots in "skin"

The day I wore this the weather was so weird. It had been really hot and humid for days, then the rain came in to cool things off quite a bit. I wasn't sure if it would heat up later so I ended up with the rather strange combo of shorts, a tee, scarf and boots. My reasoning was that it would not be hot enough for the boots to be a silly choice, I could just take off the scarf if I got too warm.

Of course, boots were a silly choice as the day ended up being just as humid as every other day that week....but I was able to take the scarf off! Colour-wise it was a good outfit at least, I do love blue. Spent the day with my mum, we had lunch and picked up a few last minute things for a party on the weekend. No bag, I just carried everything I needed in the baby bag.

Last worn: skull scarf, striped tee, printed denim shorts, Acne Pistol boots.

Don't forget that the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales are on many websites at the moment! I'm frequently updating the Sales and Discounts page over the weekend with the latest sales, and I've included a few below. Happy shopping!

Grey Tee, Pink Leopard Print Jeans | Tie Dye Maxi Dress, Blue Cardi

Here's what I wore to spend the day with my mum and sister:
SunniesRayban new Wayfarers
ScarfAlexander McQueen modal skull scarf in white/pink
TeeGrey v-neck tee with rolled sleeves (new purchase)
Jeans: Portmans pink leopard print skinny jeans
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs studded mouse flats in grey
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

I like pairing pink and grey together as much as I do pink and blue! Very happy to be able to squeeze back into these jeans post-baby, they are such a fun statement pair. I used to have a grey leopard print jean as well, but I donated those and held onto these.

I wasn't too sure about the print on the scarf worn with the jeans, but my sister told me it looked okay. Glad I listened to her, I really liked this outfit. We went out to have lunch at the bayside, so the scarf was a good extra little something to kept the chill off. It was baby T's first time by the sea, but he was asleep for most of it, cuddled up with his auntie in the baby carrier. Such a lovely day, and a great lunch.

Last worn: Wayfarersskull scarf, leopard print skinnies, mouse flats, Marc Jacobs baby bag. First time I've worn the tee as it's a new purchase.

Here's what I wore to have a friend over:
Sunglasses: Cotton On 'Risky Business' sunglasses in sky blue
CardiJeanswest long blue drape cardigan
DressJeanswest 'Elodie' tie dye grey jersey maxi dress
ShoesNine West fascinate ballet flats in silver glitter

I love looking back and seeing the baby bump when I look up the last time I wore things. When I last wore this dress I was 39 weeks pregnant!

One of the ladies in my mother's group is starting up her own skincare business, and was looking for guinea pigs to practice on. I jumped at the chance for a pamper session! My mother in law and I had a really nice morning at home getting a free facial.

Ended up with a very blue outfit! Just wanted something easy to wear as I was really tired as baby T had been a little grouchy overnight, so wore a maxi dress with a cardi for warmth. Last time I wore a similar longline cardi with a maxi skirt I didn't like the way it looked, but I thought it looked nice left untied with the maxi dress this time. Maybe as the maxi dress has that elasticated section? Comfortable and practical outfit for a pamper session anyway :)

Last worn: blue sunglasses, blue cardigan, grey tie dye maxi dress, glitter flats.

Style It Project: Black Tee | Teal and Olive Green, Jeans and Converse

Here's what I wore to take baby T to the clinic for a check-up:
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Scarf: Sportsgirl animal scarf in Violet
Top: Glassons plain black long sleeve tee
SkirtTarget grey marle maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

There are some weeks I'm really grateful I can pop out to the local clinic for a chat with a nurse and a quick checkup for baby T. It helps to make sure he's on track, gives me a chance to ask silly 'first time mum' questions, and it gets me out of the house.

It's not always easy to find something to wear though, as I've been feeling really uninspired lately. I smiled when I saw Kimbalike's and Redcliffe Style's Style It Project challenge for July - a plain long sleeve black tee. Something I already had in my wardrobe, as the past few challenges I haven't participated as I would have had to buy something. Although I didn't wear my tee in a ground breaking new way, just paired it with my go-to maxi skirt and a nice printed scarf, it was fun to use the challenge as inspiration for picking what to wear :)

Last worn: Ray-Ban, animal print scarf, black tee, maxi skirt, Converse, MbMJ baby bag.

Here's what I wore to have a visitor over and go out with baby and Cooper:
ScarfMarc by Marc Jacobs scarf in Island pine-print
TopJeanswest 'Aubrey' pintuck yoke henley in deep teal
JeansSass and Bide strayed misfits skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

Just a simple casual denim outfit for going out with baby T and Cooper, and for having a visitor over in the afternoon. I always try to put a bit of effort in when we have visitors, even though all the attention is rightfully on baby T.

Pleased to find another pair of non-maternity jeans that I can squeeze into! Felt like wearing jeans as it was a cold and rainy day. Decided to wear this top and the scarf together as they are both the only green items I own. The scarf is more olive green and the shirt is a teal, but I thought it seemed like a good pairing in the morning. Undecided after seeing the photos though, didn't turn out as well as I thought. What do you think?

Last worn: MbMJ scarf, teal henley, Sass and Bide jeans, Converse (see above), baby bag (see above).

Converse, Maxi Skirts, Scarves, Marc By Marc Jacobs Handbags

Baby T has arrived, and I'm blogging less regularly as life revolves around a newborn and pyjamas are my main OOTD. I'm continuing to share my outfits when I leave the house and have time to take a photo.

Here's what I wore to pop into the city one afternoon:
skull scarf, stripe top, denim jacket, maxi skirt and converse OOTD

marc by marc jacobs carob brown fran bag
Jacket: Bubblegum denim jacket
ScarfAlexander McQueen pink pashmina in skull and floral print
Top: Kmart striped drop shoulder tee
SkirtTarget grey marle maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagMarc By Marc Jacobs Classic Q Fran bag with gold hardware in carob brown

We'd been waiting a little while for some paperwork to come through for baby T. Luckily when we found out it was ready for us to pick up, my family were visiting so we were able to leave baby at home and head into the city. As per usual, getting dressed quickly was necessary so I went with my default outfit - maxi skirt, stripes, converse and a skull scarf! Getting a little predictable, but it's good to have outfit staples to fall back on when I don't have a lot of time. Added the denim jacket to keep warm as it was cooling in the evening.

During the pregnancy I had fun playing dress up in my wardrobe now and then, to see what clothes still fit the growing bump and to come up with outfit ideas. Clothes are much further down my list of priorities now if I do get a moment of free time. I usually have a nap instead! I honestly do, you should see the housework that's being neglected ;) Life with baby means less housework, more naps.

Last worn: denim jacket, skull scarf, stripe top, target maxi skirt, Converse, Marc by Marc Jacobs Fran bag.

Here's what I wore to run errands with baby T:
winter wear converse, maxi skirt, neon leopard print scarf, peach knit jumper
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Scarf: Supre neon pink leopard print scarf
Jumper: Supre knit loose fit jumper in bahamas
SkirtTarget black and white striped maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

Sometimes we have appointments we can't get out of and we need to bring baby T along - despite the many offers of friends and family to baby sit. Wore this to take baby T out for an early morning appointment and to run a few quick errands. Again with a maxi skirt, but just a light knit as we weren't out long and a jacket wasn't needed. I thought the colours in the scarf worked well with the peach of the jumper, and I thought I'd better wear something other than a skull scarf for a change!

Last worn: Ray-ban, neon leopard scarf, peach knit, stripe maxi skirt, Converse (see above), Marc by Marc Jacobs baby bag.

Mulberry Bayswater. Jeanswest Wrap Dress | Casual Friday Maternity Skinny Jeans, Print Top

Here's what I wore to work on Thursday:
Second trimester pregnancy essential print wrap dress for baby bump black and tan

Dress: Jeanswest floral wrap dress (with Cotton On caramel 'Forever Tank' underneath)
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs logo plaque flats in camel
Bracelets: the usual plus Disney Couture Winnie the Pooh bangle
BagMulberry Bayswater in Oak NVT leather

Thursday was another big day at work for looking presentable and professional. I went with this simple wrap dress as an easy option! Wrap dresses fit every occasion right? Especially printed ones - don't think I've ever seen a printed wrap dress look out of place, haha!

Last worn: Jeanswest wrap dress, Cotton On tank, Marc by Marc Jacobs flatsMulberry oak Bayswater.

Here's what I wore today:
away from blue casual Friday skinny jeans print top office maternity wear

Mulberry Oak NVT leather Bayswater tote bag handbag worn on shoulder
NecklaceHouse of Harlow gold multi-strand necklace
TopJeanswest 'Rowena' print tank
JeansJeanswest maternity super skinny jeans in antique blue
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs metallic mouse flats
Bracelets: the usual plus beaded neon and gold and black and gold bracelet set
BagMulberry Bayswater in Oak NVT leather

Simple denim outfit for casual Friday today. Was feeling rather uninspired trying to find something to wear, so jeans and a printed top seemed like a nice easy option. Expected this top to be a little more roomy though - the bump is really growing well! Beginning to wonder if I may need more than my current 3 maternity shirts to see me through the last few months. I'm trying to buy as little new maternity wear as possible, and make the most of what I already own and the handful of pieces I've already bought.

Last worn: printed top, maternity skinny jeans, metallic mouse flats, Mulberry oak Bayswater (see above).

Australia Day: Green and Gold, Funkita Bikini | Asos Red Leopard Print Dress, Miu Miu Clutch

Here's what I wore on Australia Day:
Away From Blue Second trimester Pregnancy Outfit Australia Day green and gold tank and jeans

Alexander Wang Dark argon pebbled leather Rocco Bag
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
NecklaceHouse of Harlow gold multi-strand necklace
TopJeanswest Jenni basic singlet in Emerald green (new purchase)
Jeans: Jeanswest Maternity slim straight jeans
Shoes: Cotton On thin strap thongs in black
Bracelets: the usual plus gifted gold bangle set
Bag: Alexander Wang Rocco with gold hardware in dark argon

Green and gold for Australia day of course! Had to use accessories for the theme as I had planned to wear my French Connection silk skirt with this top, like I did on a previous Australia Day, but now the baby bump has grown I have to wear it quite high. Although I could zip it up wearing it above my waist, I worried it would be too short. Luckily my Jeanswest jeans were a good replacement, and I didn't have to worry about the breeze catching the hem of my skirt!

Very sad to have to put the skirt away in the "after baby arrives" box, but it frees up a little more space in my wardrobe. Space for clothes that fit to make it easier to get dressed each day!

If you're curious how the bump is going, I shared the below baby bump pic on instagram. Wearing my new Funkita cossie because it wouldn't be a proper Australia Day without visiting a pool or BBQ ;)
In the end I went for the 'Colour Love Stripes' over the peacock print, and I love it. I ordered a couple of sizes larger than my normal swimwear, so it fits me well for pregnancy. My other bikinis are currently living in the "after baby arrives" box, haha!

Last worn: Ray Bans, straight leg maternity jeans, thongs, Alexander Wang Rocco bag. First time I've worn the singlet as it's a recent purchase.

Here's what I wore today:

Public holiday today, made it a lovely long weekend. Spent some time at home trying to organise my wardrobe and spring clean a little more, so I was just in shorts and a tank. Like a summer version of this 'tidying up' outfit. We are turning the spare room I use as a wardrobe into baby's nursery, so I have a lot more downsizing and cleaning to go. Going from 2 overflowing wardrobes into 1 is not an easy task, so whenever I get the urge to clean or tidy, I get right into it to take advantage of the mood!

DH suggested we take a break for lunch, so I made a bit of an effort and got dressed up in this to go out for lunch and catch a movie. Also had a friend pop by later in the afternoon and give me some advice for work tomorrow, which was lovely :)

Printed Top, Pencil Skirt, Mulberry Bayswater | Jeanswest Dress, Marc by Marc Jacobs Fran Bag

Here's what I wore to work on Tuesday:
Office wear mulberry baywater untucked shirt pencil skirt black and brown tan

mulberry bayswater tote bag oak NVT leather
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
Necklace: House of Harlow Dynamic necklace in gold
Top: Cotton On Salta peasant top in Berlin print
Skirt: Jeanswest black ponte pencil skirt
ShoesMarc by Marc Jacobs logo plaque flats in camel
Bracelets: the usual plus beaded black and gold bracelet set
BagMulberry Bayswater in Oak NVT leather

A great benefit of this skirt is that it has elasticated side panels, you can see them better the last time I wore it. Makes it quite comfortable to wear, and perfect for a day of meetings with a loose printed top. Had to carry my Bayswater as I had to tote some papers around again, so I thought the print on the top tied in with the black and tan theme quite well.

Had to do a presentation today in front of some fairly important people, so I was really nervous. Went with this simple printed dress so I'd feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible. I think the presentation went well in the end, got a good response.

Was surprised when I looked back in the blog and realised I hadn't paired this bag and dress together before, seems like such an obvious combo as I like to wear this dress with brown a lot.

I've been wearing my Rayban sunglasses a lot lately after hubby kindly got them for me for Christmas. It's great to start off the new year with a new pair of sunnies and as I have a lot of cute pairs that are similar to the Wayfarer style it was an obvious choice. New year, new look and a new pair of glasses!

I think it's good to have a mix of sunglasses, especially for the summer sun in Australia. Vision Direct have even created a sunglasses lookbook to help you find the perfect glasses for you. I've owned some designer sunglasses in the past, but my current Wayfarer obsession puts me in the "girl next door" style category. Some nice sunglasses there! Check out the look book above to see what sunglasses match your style, I thought it was quite fun. :)

Although most people headed back to work Monday, DH and I have a couple more days off. I go back to the office mid-week. Dressed simply for Monday. We went out for lunch, ran some errands, and had an appointment in the evening. Luckily we were indoors when the heatwave-breaking storm hit, and we didn't have to venture out and get back in the car until it had mostly blown over. I did wish I'd worn something more substantial on my feet as we ran through the rain back to the car though, haha.

Nice loose layers for today. Still quite warm, although no-where near the temperatures of last week! Just nice and casual for visiting some family.

Really loved this top the first time I wore it, but have been unsure how to wear it again since as it's a bit long on me. Partially tucked it in again, with the maxi skirt I thought it looked quite nice.

Last worn: Raybans (see above), printed tank, jersey maxi skirt, Havaianas (see above), Marc By Marc Jacobs Fran bag.
