Asos Leather Blazer, Star Print Jersey Dress, Marco Tagliaferri Bag

Here's what I wore today:
Jacket: Asos grey leather blazer
Dress:  French Connection star dancing jersey dress in red rust/almond
Necklace: gift from DH (similar here)
Bracelets: the usual
Shoes: Nine West fascinate ballet flats in silver glitter (Better pic here)
Bag: Marco Tagliaferri first generation birk bag in navy from Erica at HGBags Online (similar here)

I was so cold when I took my jacket off, sorry for the weird pose!

Closeup of accessories:

I love all of these pieces separately, just not feeling them all together. It was such an overcast day today I wore my glitter flats to cheer me up, but maybe another shoe would have been better with this outfit. What do you think?

I made a new friend this morning. When we got to the train station I pointed out to DH a little puppy wandering aimlessly by the road. It started to follow a schoolkid and crossed the road, narrowly avoiding being hit by a car coming round the corner, and followed the kid onto the train platform. Everyone was just watching it getting closer to the edge as the train was about to come in. After checking it didn't belong to anyone on the platform, I called her over and scooped her up. The name on her collar is "Sookie" and she is such a cute little puppy! She spent most of her time in my arms licking my face!

DH called the number on her collar but got no answer, so we went over to the ticket office and I convinced the lovely station master he really wanted to take care of this little pup until her owners came by. ;) He was very kind and called the number and left a message, and agreed to watch Sookie in his office while waiting for a call back. Luckily Sookie's owners came by about 20 minutes later to pick her up.

It was so nice to get lots of little cuddles and kisses from this gorgeous pup this morning - and I'm very thankful that she was reunited with her owners quickly and in one piece.

Remix Friday and Frivolous Friday: 1 top 3 ways

In case it's not clear from the title, it's Friday today! ;)

Here's what I wore:
Top: Cotton On Finland Spliced top in hommus / black / washed orange (New Purchase, bought on sale)
Necklace: Indigo Rose Design freshwater pearl and antique gold long necklace
Bracelets: the usual plus Indigo Rose Design untreated leather glass bead wrap bracelet
Jeans: Jeanswest
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs patent mouse flats (similar at shopbop)
Bag: Marco Tagliaferri first generation birk bag in navy from Erica at HGBags Online

My fave thing about this top is the fun orange back!

Closeup of accessories:

Ash over at Ash Louise has started a fun new Remix Friday challenge, and of course there is the Frivolous Friday challenge at the Fashionoclast I try to participate regularly in. This post has my outfits for both challenges!

Remix Friday is taking an outfit or single piece and remixing it 3 different ways. Something I badly need to learn how to do! Luckily this top is an amazing piece that I bought purely because of it's possible remix abilities, perfect for my first entry into Ash's challenge.

As well as wearing the sleeveless top above with jeans for casual Friday, I came up with 2 other ways to wear it as well:
Casual with a vintage pleated maxi skirt and wedges, and another way dressed up with slim pants, a blazer and statement necklace and heels.

The last look with the blazer is also my entry for Frivolous Friday at the Fashionoclast, which is "Androgynous accessories" for the National Day of Silence in the US. Remember, bullying isn't cool! I'm glad Becky mentioned blazers as I wasn't sure how I was going to achieve the challenge until she posted that hint.

Sorry for the challenge overload! Hope you have a great start to the weekend, and don't forget to enter the Indigo Rose Design jewelry giveaway if you haven't already :)

Would love to know what you think of my remixes! :)

Striped Dress, MbMJ Studded Mouse Flats, Featured

Counting down the days to the long weekend! Had a long but relaxed meeting this afternoon so dressed for comfort.

Here's what I wore today:

Dress: French Connection Melanie striped sleeveless dress
Cardi: Jeanswest blue waterfall cardi. Used this to cover up in the office.
Necklace: Lovisa blue leaf long necklace
Bracelets: the usual plus a trio of labradorite bracelets from Indigo Rose Design
Bag: Marco Tagliaferri first generation birk bag in navy
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs studded mouse flats in grey from Shopbop (New purchase)

Last time I wore this dress I wore it with a belt, I think I prefer it with the belt. Will remember for next time.

Closeup of accessories:

Closeup of the adorable yet tough flats!

The only downside is that when wearing them with bare legs you need to be careful when you cross your legs! The studs have quite a spike.

I've just now seen them in stock at shopbop in pink, wish I had waited and got them instead of the grey. I'm telling myself grey will be more practical. But the pink is just so cute! 2 pairs of mice flats is enough right?

Also, I was featured over at the Fashionoclast again today - for my colour blocking outfit I wore for the Frivolous Friday challenge. You can check it out here :)

Closeup of accessories and print on the skirt:

Really wish I'd worn a longer necklace with this - although it was nice to make the Chanel the centre of attention. Will wear a different one next time.

I also created a facebook page for the blog! You can like it here. I also have a Google+ page. I'm yet to figure out twitter ;)

Featured, French Connection striped dress

Really hot day today. Luckily the severe storm predicted passed us by, although it was a little windy when taking pics. Lots of homes were damaged with the storm so we were very lucky.

Here's what I wore today:
Dress: French Connection Melanie striped sleeveless dress (very wrinkled sorry!)
Necklace: Faux pearl necklace by Indigo Rose Design
Belt: Jeanswest
Bracelets: the usual plus two labradorite ones by Indigo Rose Design
Shoes: Black flats from Rubi shoes
Bag: Marco Tagliaferri first generation birk bag in navy

Closeup of accessories:

Marco Tagliaferri bag again, and more rain

Even more rain today, it called for layers. And dark colours, I always seem to dress in dark colours when it rains. does anyone else do that? Good news is that the repair guy came to fix the oven, so we are able to use the oven for cooking again, yey!

Here's what I wore to work today:

Dress: Asos Frill blouse contrast skirt dress
Singlet underneath: Jeanswest
Necklace: Chanel (via Reebonz)
Bracelets: The usual
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs patent mouse flats
Bag: Marco Tagliaferri first generation birk bag in navy

I really like the frill on the neckline of this dress. It was cool enough to wear my Jeanswest leather jacket outside too - love this one as it's a similar style to the Balenciaga ones I lust after so much.
Cooper popped his fuzzy little head into the photo to see what I was up to just as the timer went off!

Closeup of the accessories:

And the video of my bag that I posted yesterday has been shared on the Marco Tagliaferri Bags facebook page! So excited when I saw that this evening.

Hope everyone has had a lovely Tuesday :)

Marco Tagliaferri bag, Asos lace skirt

Cold and rainy today - perfect staying in bed weather, shame it was Monday and work! Wore some of my new sale buys today to cheer myself up.

Here's what I wore:

Cardi: Jeanswest
Top: Jeanswest Maria cami (as seen here)
Bracelets: the usual, hidden by the cardigan sleeves
Skirt: Asos lace textured pencil skirt (as seen here)
Shoes: Ninewest Fascinate in silver (as seen here)
Bag: Marco Tagliaferri first generation birk bag in navy

Closeup of accessories and the lace on the skirt:

I took a video showing what fits inside the medium Marco Tagliaferri bag. It's really nice leather, perfect for rainy days like today as it's pretty much invincible. It's a first generation one so the shoulder strap is attached to the handles, on the second generation MT bags the shoulder strap attaches to the side of the bag.

Hope everyone had a good Monday :)
