Makes a very simple, if expensive, outfit for a hot summer day!
What I wore:
Necklace: Lovisa gold filigree heart pendant
Dress: Kmart Tropicana sleeveless tiered maxi dress
Shoes: Novo Tawny rose gold sandals
Bag: Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull
Why I wore it:
Found this old white waterfall jacket in my wardrobe when trying to organise my new wardrobe room (post and video coming once I have it setup the way I want!). It's survived a few wardrobe declutters and it's many years old but it's only been worn a handful of times. The last time was back in 2016! It is a nice simple, lightweight cover up that will go with everything, so that's why I keep justifying keeping it despite how little it's worn. I did enjoy wearing it with this maxi dress, it was a good way to cover up the spaghetti straps and keep warm in church. So for now, it's staying in my wardrobe, and if I don't wear it any time over the next month I'll be donating it.Kept the accessories simple, and since the Louis Vuitton neverfull tote has gold hardware I went with my rose gold accessories - these strappy sandals and the filigree heart necklace. Simple outfit for the morning at church and a quick stop at Bunnings.
Last worn: white waterfall jacket, rose gold heart necklace, floral tiered maxi dress, gold sandals, Louis Vuitton neverfull tote.
Other ways to wear: white waterfall jacket and shorts, floral tiered maxi dress layered with a knit, gold sandals and jeans, Louis Vuitton neverfull tote in the office.
Perfect for pregnancy: white waterfall jacket in third trimester, Louis Vuitton neverfull tote at 38 weeks.
30 Ways To Wear: Louis Vuitton Neverfull
What I wore:
Necklace: Silhoupette gold plated Shih Tzu necklace
Dress: Kmart teal floral print midi dress
Shoes: Novo Tawny rose gold sandals
Bag: Louis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull
Why I wore it:
Completely outfit repeating here! While it's the first time I've worn the neverfull tote with this dress, I've worn the mustard and gold earrings with it before, and the rose gold sandals. Also wore the same sandals in the first outfit! Wanted a slightly dressy option for our family photo. For the past few years we have been taking our annual family Santa photo at the RSPCA "Santa Paws" event. It's a great way to get a pic of the whole family, including our dog, and we use the photos for our Christmas cards each year. We were prepared this year, and I wore this for our family photo back in November. Our little one had gotten over his Santa fear a few days before Christmas last year, and we had a tablet lined up with a pre-downloaded video to capture the boys attention. Bag of tricks packed (this neverfull holds so much!) I was feeling confident this year about getting a good photo.
All was good until we actually sat down next to Santa, and the tears began and both the photography staff and Cooper were terrified. Our poor pup, he'd been enjoying the Santa cuddles just moments before! In the end we worked on a comprise and Santa went away and hid so we could get a picture without him. Boys and dogs now calm, Santa snuck up behind us for the final pic and we finally got a good shot. It seemed even more stressful than last year, and I'd thought we were so prepared! I think we may need to look into a Santa-free photo next year! 😂 I did like my outfit at least, even if the day didn't go as smoothly as planned.
Last worn: gold tassel earrings, teal floral midi dress, gold Shih Tzu necklace, rose gold sandals (above), Louis Vuitton neverfull tote (above).
Other ways to wear: teal floral midi dress worn two ways, rose gold sandals and tee dress, Louis Vuitton neverfull tote and graphic tee.
Perfect for pregnancy: Louis Vuitton neverfull tote in third trimester.
Floral Dresses Under $50:
How You Can Wear It:
A floral dress is a classic option - in a midi or maxi length! With a bold and colourful print, you don't need to accessorise much, and a go-with-everything tote and metallic accessories create a simple outfit.Monday's weekday wear link up post will be running as normal, but I won't have a post on Wednesday as it's Christmas day. Have a very merry Christmas!

mi piace tanto questo look *_* amo le borse cosi grandi
ReplyDeleteBeautiful look! I really like this bag, it is quite big so perfect for me! I have lots of thing to put in there!
ReplyDeletehttp://redamancyy.blogspot.com/
Hahahahaha! SO many things to cover in this post - let me see if I can remember to comment on all of them. That first dress is beautiful and I just love the way you pair a $1000+ (USD) bag with an inexpensive dress. It always makes me smile. And DO NOT get rid of that jacket - it's wonderful! I can see it over a tank top and skinnies and sneakers or sandals or even ankle boots and it looks so cute on you. That second dress is very much like the one Kate Middleton wore for their family Christmas photo. She apparently paid $180 for it but then it went on sale for half price and sold out in minutes. I think she copied you :) Except her bag collection isn't nearly as fancy as yours. And for the Christmas photos - I hope the photographer was snapping away and you got some great bloopers, too! I have one of my daughter crying next to Santa and another of her running away from Minnie Mouse (not a Christmas picture) with her hands stretched out toward me. And no, I never got a good picture of her with Santa. My husband wanted to take our two girls to PetSmart for pictures with Santa. I played that out in my mind in like 3 seconds and said no.
ReplyDeleteIt's been about 12C/55F here the last few days and on Christmas they're saying 20C/68F. I'm OK with that. I can do a warmer Christmas. I'm so glad the week is over and I've pretty much finished all of my Christmas shopping except maybe a few gift cards for the crew that bathes and does my girls' nails and watches them when we have to go out of town without them. Then everybody comes over Christmas Eve and maybe a couple from out of town. Yay :/ At least it'll all be over for me on Christmas day. I hope yours isn't a stressful time and that you have a wonderful weekend and a beautiful Christmas!

haha thank you! i'd love to think I inspired her but she has a much more classical style than mine! :) We did get an okay photo with Santa in the end - but I think we will avoid Santa next year! Hope you had a nice warmer Christmas, even though those temps sound very cold to me, ha!
DeleteI love these floral dresses! You have created some beautiful looks dear!

Aw, the lengths we go to in order to get a good family photo!! Glad it all worked out in the end for you! And I love that first waterfall jacket! I love having a white jacket and cardigan for layering in the summer and I'd your waterfall option is right up my alley!
ReplyDeleteYes it's a shame we didn't get a perfect pic, but life is never perfect right!
DeleteI'm also a big fan of bargain clothes and fancy bags! I really really love that blue dress on you, looks absolutely beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLOLZ....good thing you got a cooperative Santa:D That's such a super cute story though...I think all my kids cried the first time they took a Santa pic...mind you, they were babies:D
ReplyDeleteANyhoo, love both dresses. And I think it's great how you pair inexpensive outfits with high end bags.:)
Have a lovely weekend!
I love doing that - I am harder on my clothes than my accessories (or I should say the toddlers can be harder on my clothes, ha!) so it makes sense to invest in the accessories!
DeleteAnd yet people still think you can't mix high and low. It can totally be done if you find the right pieces! I love the print and color of that second dress, so pretty :)
ReplyDeletehttps://www.closet-fashionista.com/
Yes it can definitely be done! I've not got the budget for all high end anyway, haha!
DeleteBoth dresses look so beautiful on you. Loving that white jacket too!
ReplyDeleteHope you have a Merry Christmas spent with your loved ones!

That is a great way to mix it up. Bargain clothes or pre-loved and a quality designer bag. The strappy sandals are super cute too and the Santa Paws event sounds so fun and I hope you post the photo!

Unfortunately I can't post the full photo as it has my kids faces in it, but it was an okay one in the end! :)
DeleteWhen an outfit formula works, you just go with it and this combination looks like it has served you well. Your LV neverfull tote is certainly a very versatile bag!
ReplyDeleteSo refined outfits, Mica! You look so chic!
ReplyDeleteBoth the dresses are very stylish and prints and colors are perfect for summer, but my fav is the 1st, a maxi in summer is a must! :D

I finished it in time for the new year so now I just have to edit the videos together! :)
DeleteI love that you know how to pair your outfits with cute bags! Haha, the LV bag always make your outfits look so much richer. Love that the white damier is easy to pair with so many options. I do the same thing when I go out - simple outfits with an expensive bag makes a big difference in fashion and appearance!

I really loved both looks, and your dresses are so beautiful, my favorite is the one in the second look, love the color! I have been doing the same recently but with my clothes, since I've been slowly getting rid of some items, mostly giving them away- so, my style is also a mix of - I wouldn't say designer pieces but I think they still are - so it's a mix of that and fast-fashion which I am trying to reduce on buying and I love it, you can create and throw in different looks and experiment as well. A mix of high and low fashion, one should splurge on accesories, shoes and/or bags, but I've been doing it with clothes, I find that the pieces I own so far are key pieces and ones I will be wearing for many more years. Also, that's something I also call being a smart shopper too! :)
ReplyDeleteHave a beautiful and happy weekend!
XO, Melissa
yes definitely being a smart shopper! You can get great things for bargain prices, it's worth it to shop around! :)
DeleteBargains or not, they are both gorgeous dresses. And who's to know when your carrying your splurge-worthy LV bag ;-) Can't wait to see your new wardrobe room! I admit to being just a little bit envious, as I'd love to have a wardrobe room, but we simply don't have the space! xxx
ReplyDeleteIt was on my wishlist when we were house hunting so we had to put one in when we built our house, haha! I've finished it off but need to put a video together!
DeleteSuch beautiful dresses. I especially love the maxi.
ReplyDeleteThese dresses are so lovely and perfect for the heatwave going on in Australia. You look wonderful!

Trying to get Santa pics sounds so stressful! I'm happy to not have to deal with that any time soon, haha! You look great, though, and that bag really seems to live up to its "neverfull" name!
ReplyDeleteYes it's definitely a challenge each year! I think we will skip Santa next year!
DeleteTo get a perfect family photo is not easy. o) I love your floral dresses. Specially the teal one. I wish you a Merry Christmas.

Love your YouTube video on how to style the bag. I didn't know the Neverfull bag had straps like that. Pretty cool. Hope you're doing well & your family safe! :]// all the best, Carmen
ReplyDeleteThat last dress is one of my favourites of yours - it's a great colour and cut on you, Mica. Wishing you a very Merry Christmas, my dear - all the best to your family!
ReplyDeleteAnd just $12 too, such a bargain impulse buy!
DeleteMe encanta la combinacion con el vestido azul. LOL necesito mi Neverfull
ReplyDeleteYou look so so pretty. I love your bag and i love this brand :)
ReplyDeleteBoth of those dresses are beautiful! I can't believe they were both under $25. Pairing a more expensive bag with bargain items is a really smart idea. And I'm glad the family photo with Santa worked out in the end!

Your flowy dresses make me so happy! I just love the style and would wear them too. As for the bag being 100 times more costly, I had to gasp! Hahaha. You look fabulous in both outfits and I love the style of your yard with the stones! How do you keep it grass-free? Hahah, sorry such a random question! :D xoxo
ReplyDeleteNot random at all! Most of the yard is grass but we laid stones down on this part as it wouldn't be easy for grass to grow here - that keeps it grass free! :)
DeleteThese are both so lovely on you dear! Merry Christmas!
