What I wore:
Scarf: Marc by Marc Jacobs mauve square scarf
Earrings: gold pendant chandelier earrings
Dress: Jeanswest Aztec print dress
Shoes: RMK Chester black ankle boots
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff metallic silver mini MAC
Why I wore it:
I did actually have my trench coat over this dress but I took it off for the photos. Thankfully we took these around lunch time when the weather was a bit warmer, but I was still grateful to pop my coat back on after snapping a few shots! This pretty Ikat print dress is a firm favourite, and being a sheer polyester with a polyester slip underneath it meant extra layers to keep me cosy! I paired it with my fleece lined tights and ankle boots, as well as my purple scarf and big trench coat.
We'd spent the morning at another church so I'd picked this pretty dress to wear. On our way to lunch, we passed this church yard and the gate was open after a recent service. Much to to the surprise of hubby and the boys, I pulled the car over and we ran in for a few quick photos. The church is Liberton Kirk, built in 1815 so over 200 years old! It looks absolutely stunning with the red doors and the greenery growing all over it. So pleased to be able to get some photos there!

We drove past so many beautiful places in Scotland, but this one I HAD to pull over next to and take pics! #libertonkirk #bloggerlife— Mica (@AwayFromTheBlue) May 24, 2019

30 Ways To Wear A Printed Dress: Zara Shift Dress
What I wore:
Dress: Zaful floral print ruffle hem dress in ginger with leggings underneath
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bag: Louis Vuitton Damier Ebene 30 speedy bandouliere
Why I wore it:
It was a warmer day when I wore this outfit - so I went without a jacket. I picked leggings to keep my legs covered, and the long sleeves on this dress kept my arms covered up from the wind too. It's not just cold in Scotland, it's so windy! Thankfully there wasn't too much wind on this day.Had to pose under a cherry blossom tree for a photo with my floral dress. #bloggerlife This mustard dress I picked up from Zaful after seeing it on Ruth's blog has gotten more wear than I expected - with the ruffles it's nice for making me feel a bit more dressed up.
Paired with Converse and my trusty Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere bag, it was an easy outfit for church and then an afternoon BBQ.
Last worn: mustard floral dress, diamond necklace, Converse, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere.
Other ways to wear: mustard floral dress in summer, Converse and skinny jeans, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere and shorts.
Perfect for pregnancy: Converse in second trimester, Louis Vuitton speedy bandouliere in second trimester.

You will love it! Wear lots of layers!
DeleteAaaawwww...you look so pretty in both outfits:) The blue and yellow really suits you. And so awesome you got to see such historic places.
ReplyDeleteHope you're having a lovely day so far:)
I really like both of these dresses. The first printed dress looks great on you and I like how you styled it. Bringing a trench along was a good idea, even if you took it off for the photographs. It is good to have a layer at hand when it gets colder. That historical church is gorgeous btw. I love its red doors.
ReplyDeleteThe second outfit with the mustard dress, leggings and converse sneakers is lovely as well. Perfect styling. You looked great in both outfits.
