What I wore:
Sunnies: Ray-Ban new Wayfarers
Necklace: thrifted pearl and heart charm long necklaceTank: Jeanswest Sol Maternity jacquard tank (non-maternity version)
Skirt: Jeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
Shoes: slim gold Havaianas
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster
Why I wore it:
Wore this to go shopping and take toddler T to rhyme time at the local library. The lady running it was telling us a little more about it, it seems to just be a Queensland government thing. Hopefully other states have something similar. It's really fun, I've been taking toddler T since he was a baby whenever we can. It's free, and you get to sing and dance and learn nursery rhymes and songs. Now that toddler T's bigger, he even has his favourite songs and I love seeing his excitement when he hears them!As I'd be sitting around on the floor with a toddler, I figured a maxi skirt was a good idea. I haven't actually worn this maternity tank with a maxi skirt yet, was a nice easy outfit.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, blue printed maternity tank, black maxi skirt, gold Havaianas, Marc By Marc Jacobs Lil' Ukita Bag.
Other ways to wear: blue printed maternity tank and magenta bag, black maxi skirt and a graphic tee, Marc By Marc Jacobs Lil' Ukita Bag and printed dress.

What I wore:
Sunnies: Ray-Ban new Wayfarers
Necklace: Happiness Boutique turquoise and coral pendant necklace (C/O)Tank: Jeanswest Carla maternity cut out tank (non-maternity version)
Skirt: Target grey marle maxi skirt
Shoes: slim gold Havaianas
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster
Why I wore it:
I picked a nice neutral outfit to wear to really make the 'rock lobster' colour of the Ukita bag pop. It looks great against black! Again, with a maxi skirt and maternity singlet combination.Wore this to run errands in the morning and spend some time setting up the nursery for baby. The in-laws came over in the afternoon for dinner. The maxi skirt worked for all those scenarios. One of those items that will always be on my wardrobe must-haves list, pregnant or not!
Last worn: black laser cut maternity tank, grey maxi skirt, Havaianas (above), Marc by Marc Jacobs Ukita (above).
Other ways to wear: black maternity tank and denim shorts, grey maxi skirt layered up for cooler weather, Marc by Marc Jacobs Ukita in the office.

So the black, grey and red looks amazing together - as someone who wears a lot of black and grey I'm now thinking I need to add some red into that! Also, I really like how the red goes with the patterned blue top. I'd never have thought to match the two and it looks great! Hope the nursery set up is going well :)
ReplyDeleteYep, nursery is all setup now! :)
DeleteAnd a red bag is a great addition to a neutral outfit ;)
My daughter loves music class, which sounds similar to rhyme time, as well. We are constantly singing her favorite songs at home...

Yes it's so nice to see them getting involved with singing and dancing! :)

Dang I wish we had something like rhyme time here! Pen loves being around other kids, but doesn't get to do it as often as I wish she could. Actually, despite being in a rather large city, there's not a ton for toddlers to do around here. Looks like you are staying super comfy and functional these last few weeks. (:
ReplyDeleteIt's hard when you can't find a lot of activities for them to do! :( Hopefully you stumble across something similar, toddler T loves it!
DeleteA Marc Jacobs bag is on my list of bags I want. I think you just pushed it up a couple notches; I love this colour!!
ReplyDeleteIt is a great colour! And I highly recommend the bag, the bags are great quality! :)
DeleteI really love the simplicity of the second outfit.
ReplyDeleteSounds like you've had a busy few days, hun! x x I don't know whether we get 'rhyme time' in the UK, but it sounds like such a lovely little thing, especially considering that it's totally free! Loving both your outfits as always - and I love how in the second to last photo, Cooper is giving us a proper pose! :D

That is such a fun bag, I can see why its a favorite! I love that you take your little one to the library regularly. I love my local library, but typically I'm just running in and grabbing books on my way to pick up the kiddo. I'd love to go to story time there, but it's usually on weekdays when I'm working.
ReplyDeleteYes I'm lucky to be able to take him some days as I don't work a full week - although they do have a couple classes on weekends which is nice :)
DeleteI agree, maxi skirts are a must have! Both of these outfits looks so cool and comfortable! Love that bag!

I know I've seen the bag a few times before, but the boldness of the color always shocks me, especially against the black maxi skirt (which, by the way, I love. It's can be such a great staple item). Love the printed tank as well :)

so nice that you're talking your son to the library..teaching kids to love books is really important.

It is! Hopefully he will like books as much as I do - it certainly seems that way, he's always pulling them off the shelf to read!
DeleteOoh, I loved the blue on you in the first post but it was really awesome seeing the darker hues on you in the second outfit!! I can't pick a favorite; both are so fun! XO

ReplyDeleteWe have Rhyme Time (or similar) at our local library too but it's on the wrong day for me to take her. She does go with her Nanna occasionally though!
Yes toddler T has been with his Nana a few times too, it's great the grandparents can get involved! :)
DeleteThat bag adds such a nice pop of color to your outfit!

I really love both of those outfits. The pattern in the tank on the first is gorgeous, and I'm always a fan of neutrals with a little pop! I can see why that bag would be one of the most clicked- it's so cute!! I wore a black maxi skirt today- definitely always on the list!:)
