What I wore:
Necklace: Roie Designs long freshwater pearl necklace with tassel
Singlet: Jeanswest maternity tank in black
Shorts: Jeanswest Georgie maternity boyfriend shorts (available in non-maternity also)
Shoes: slim gold Havaianas
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster
Why I wore it:
I wore this outfit to play along with the #SNSColour challenge on instagram. The theme for the day was 'brights' so I decided to wear this bright bag and kimono together. I really liked the combination, and I've worn them together before (without a baby bump).Nice casual outfit to do the daycare drop off / pickup, work from home and go to my OB appointment in the afternoon.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, red printed kimono, black maternity tank, maternity boyfriend shorts, gold Havaianas, Marc by Marc Jacobs Lil' Ukita Bag.
Other ways to wear: pattern mixing with printed kimono and striped tank, black maternity tank with blue and purple, maternity boyfriend shorts and a wrap top, Marc by Marc Jacobs Lil Ukita Bag in the office.

What I wore:
Necklace: thrifted pearl and heart charm long necklace
Tank: Jeanswest Carla maternity cut out tank (non-maternity version)
Shorts: Jeanswest maternity rolled up shorts
Shoes: slim gold Havaianas
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs Little Ukita bag in Rock Lobster
Why I wore it:
The style challenge was over when I wore this outfit, but I'd been thinking that the bright bag would work really nicely with the navy floral print kimono. I'd considered wearing this for the 'navy' theme of the challenge, but changed my mind and wore a navy maxi skirt that day instead.Really liked the colour combination, so wore this on the weekend. It was a nice and comfortable outfit for grocery shopping and toddler T's swimming lesson. Lauren left a comment a while back that this tank and kimono would look together and she was right, I liked the pairing.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers (above), floral print kimono, cutout detail tank, maternity denim shorts, gold Havaianas (above), Marc by Marc Jacobs Ukita bag (above).
Other ways to wear: floral print kimono and skinny jeans, cutout detail tank and a pencil skirt, maternity denim shorts and a maxi cardi, red Marc by Marc Jacobs Ukita bag and navy boho dress.
On my youtube channel I share video reviews of my handbag collection. Below is my short review on the Marc by Marc Jacobs Ukita bag, showing what it fits inside and trying to accurately depict the 'Rock Lobster' colour.

DeleteTotally ordered a kimono over the weekend simply because you inspired me to. It's a beige/ light pink one with a floral print. I found in on Amazon, so I don't expect it's quality to be superior. Wanted something simple to tackle as my first kimono into my wardrobe. Can't wait until it gets here!
ReplyDeleteOh yey! Glad I could inspire you! I look forward to seeing it when it arrives! :D
DeleteThat bag is gorgeous - I'm definitely loving the color and your 'brights' pairings.
