What I wore:
Sunnies: Ray-Ban new Wayfarers
Jacket: Paper Scissors grey wrap cardiganTee: Atmos&Here rolled sleeve oversize tee in black (also in grey)
Jeans: Portmans pink leopard print skinny jeans
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch C/O JORD
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAB mini in soft grey (20% off with code FALLFAVES)
Why I wore it:
The style challenge for the day was 'fresh' and I decided to stretch the definition a little. I often wear these leopard print jeans with grey tees so I tried something slightly different and 'fresher' and went with a black tee instead, ha!I actually really liked the black tee with these pants. I wasn't so pleased with the cardigan though, wish I hadn't worn it. While it was cold in the morning before we went out it was pretty warm the rest of the day and I didn't need it at all.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, grey cardigan, black tee, pink leopard print skinny jeans, Havaianas, Rebecca Minkoff MAM.
Other ways to wear: grey cardigan and a maxi skirt, black tee and blue jeans, pink leopard print skinny jeans in winter, Rebecca Minkoff MAM in the office.

Jacket: Jeanswest brown marle waterfall cardiganNecklace: Nibbly Bits Abacus teething necklace in pop
Tank: Jeanswest round neck lace detail top
Jeans: Sass & Bide Playman skinny jeans
Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs black logo plaque ballet flats
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch C/O JORD
Bag: Rebecca Minkoff MAB mini in soft grey (20% off with code FALLFAVES)
Why I wore it:
I'm still so undecided with this outfit! It wasn't for a style challenge, I just felt like I wanted to wear these printed jeans again, and thought the black tank was a nice piece to wear with them. As it was a little windy, and we were having someone over in the evening so I'd need something to cover up with as I fed baby boy, I added the cardigan. I tried this marle cardigan to see how it would look with the chevron pants, and really liked the combination. Then I saw the pics I took and I wasn't so sure. One of those outfits where you feel it's better than the picture. Won't be wearing this cardigan and the printed jeans together again. Although I was happy wearing it I'm just not sure it looks the best reviewing the photo.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer (above), brown marle cardi, black tank, Sass & Bide skinny jeans, black ballet flats, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB (above).
Other ways to wear: brown marle cardi and maxi dress, black tank and lace pencil skirt, Sass & Bide skinny jeans and purple, ballet flats and flares, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB and a dress.

I love printed jeans! I used to wear them a lot when I was younger, but somehow I forgot about them. Thank you for reminding me:) I need to find some nice pair. I agree with what you said, printed jeans are a great way to walk away from that basic jeans and tee outfit- not that there is anything wrong with that, but sometimes when we wear jeans too much, we might get stuck in a rot. So, it is great to wear printed jeans. Both of these pairs are lovely, but I especially like the pink leo print. It's the most gorgeous jeans print I have ever seen.
ReplyDeleteBoth outfits work well, but my fav is the first one, because of those jeans. The second outfit looks very stylish indeed, but perhaps it would look better if the top was of some bright colour (light blue, orange, red etc)...just to bring a bit more colour in the game!
Have a lovely day!
Thanks Ivana! I think you're right, with a different top I would have liked the second outfit more. Hope you find your perfect printed jeans soon!
DeleteI love these printed jeans and cardi! Perfect combo!

Thanks Andrea! Good to know you liked the combo.
DeleteI dont believe I own any printed jeans but they look so cool. I love how you switched things up and styled the first one with a black tee instead of the usual grey. Looks stunning. I like both outfits. You make me want to go shopping for printed jeans, :).

Yes even though it was only a small change, nice to try something different!
DeleteI really like the printed jeans and ca't what for the weather to warm up again here so I can start wearing outfits like this. Have a great day!

I think you made a great call with the black tee on the first outfit because it just amps up the contrast in the whole look. You have such fun printed jeans.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! I think I need to break out my burgundy leopard print jeans this week, haha! Too much blue happening ;)
ReplyDeletehttp://www.closet-fashionista.com/
Yes it's good to break away from the blue now and then!
DeleteI hate it when an outfit looks so good to me in the mirror and then I see pictures and think "meh". But I actually like both of these looks--the top one especially. Those jeans are just so fun!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Shea :) That feeling happens to us all at some point I think!
DeleteThose pink leopard print pants are amazing!

You have such fun jeans! I like the pink with the black. I hate it when I feel like an outfit is better than it photographs.

I think the patterned jeans are so cool, I wish I could find some good ones. I personally think the patterns in the second outfit do actually go, but in a not-going way (if you see what I mean). I think it works, however I know what it's like to suddenly decide you're not into an outfit and there's no coming back from that!
ReplyDeleteThanks Rachel - glad you liked them together :) Hopefully you find some great printed jeans soon!
DeleteThose leopard pants are too fabulous!
ReplyDeleteI love wearing printed jeans from time to time! Love the ones you are wearing in the second look! :)
ReplyDeleteFlorals&Smiles
both of those pairs are so fun! Love the pink ones especially!

I think you look great. Printed pants are so fun!
ReplyDeleteGreat outfits as usual. The printed jeans do look like they’d be a great quick fix for an outfit rut. You should try wearing a clashing print top next time. I think it’d look great on you!

I'll need to give that a go next time! Thanks for the inspiration :)
DeleteI adore the jeans and I love how you paired each with a simple cardigan! Very beautiful! I pray you are having a wonderful start to your week

Printed jeans are such a fun way to add some punch to an outfit. I especially love how you paired pink with black in your first outfit! :)

Nice. I love the concept behind "staying away from the blue", I think it makes you become more creative witj your outfits. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful look all together.

Yes it's good to try new things now and then!
DeleteI hate when I leave the house wearing something feeling fine and then later when I review blog photos am like "What was I thinking?"
ReplyDeleteI think the second outfit works, it just might be because the cardigan has subtle marbling/patterning to it as well as the fun printed pants that kind of throws things off for photos.
Love how you rock such fun jeans Mica! Always makes me realize I should be more playful with my wardrobe again :)

haha yes it's not a nice feeling, but it happens sometimes! Thanks for your feedback on that print combo too :)
DeleteSuper comfy and stylish look! Love the printed jeans!

OMG I love the skinny jeans on both of these!
ReplyDeleteI think I need some long cardigans! You get so much wear from yours! I hate it when outfits don't photograph as well as they feel on. I like the darker tones together in the second outfit though! Two stylish outfits!
ReplyDeleteOh yes these get worn often in the cooler weather - I've really embraced my cardigans lately!
DeleteWOW! I'm loving both the pants! They look so fab! How are the kids doing??

I like both cardigans with your outfit Mica! You just gave me an idea of black tees with a lighter color or printed pant! I limit myself so much when styling clothes. You always think out the box.

Glad I could give you some new ideas Kim :)
DeleteI tend to stay away from printed jeans because I feel they make my legs look like trunks but really, you have no such issues at all. I thought you looked really good in that second pair :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Sheela - maybe you just haven't found the right print yet! :)
DeleteThis is a good bag to go with so many looks. I love that you are embracing printed jeans too!

I love how you rock printed skinny jeans, dear! I tried on a pair once but I felt it made my thighs look huge and that's one of my insecurities (unexpected little confession right there haha) but you girl, you look gorgeous wearing them! I do like the second outfit but at the same time I get what you mean, it happens sometimes!

You have amazing legs Deb - maybe you just need to give a different print a go? :)
DeletePrinted jeans are such a fun way to get out a rut. Those pink ones are even better since they're colorful and printed :) I totally need to go ahead and wear my printed jeans now that it's colder. Sometimes outfits look soo different in photos, and it can kinda be a buzz kill. But sometimes the opposite happens and an outfit looks awesome in the photos and hey, that's a confidence boost :)
ReplyDeleteMili | Sharmtoaster
haha yes it's such a confidence boost when it works that way!
DeleteThe leopard print jeans are so cute!
ReplyDeleteGreat looks with the cardigans, Mica. I like your colourful necklace and I've only have a couuple of printed trousers, but I really want a few more styles.
ReplyDeleteFASHION TALES
Printed pants aren't an everyday item for me but they are good things to have, hope you can find more!
DeleteLove the two different printed skinnies and that you've provided such diverse ways to style them! As always, loving your bag!

I think the reason you were less than impressed with your second outfit choice, was because the cardigan appears to have a slight texture look to it. Though stunning, it classes with the printed chevron and the texture almost mimics another print. I can totally see that this texture probably isn't visible in person, but can photograph funny. Still, these chevron pants are a total show stopper and I love seeing all the different ways you style them! (:
ReplyDeleteI think you're right Kiki! It's quite soft and non-textured in person but it certainly comes across that way in photos.
DeleteI've been ignoring all the printed pants in my closet as of late, but I'm now thinking I really need to get my leopard pair out!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.iamchiconthecheap.com/
Glad I could give you some inspiration to get your own out for a wear :)
DeleteYou look fabulous in that first look, those jeans fit you so well. I would only change the flip flops for flats.
ReplyDeleteYes I rarely change from flip flops when it heats up here, haha! Flats would be more interesting :)
DeleteLove the second pair of printed pants. I always love pants that shy away from the norm and those def fit the bill XX
ReplyDeleteSammy | Bargainbaglady.com
They certainly do!
DeleteThank you all for your comments and kind input on the second outfit I was unsure about :)
