Printed Skinny Jeans, Black Tops and Cardigans

I have a couple of printed jeans. While they are still jeans, they are a little step away from blue denim and make me feel less like I'm stuck in an outfit rut!

What I wore:

pink leopard print skinny jeans black tee grey cardi RM MAM bag | AwayFromBlue

Rebecca MInkoff MAM bag soft grey Pink leopard print skinny jeans | AwayFromTheBlue
Jacket: Paper Scissors grey wrap cardigan
TeeAtmos&Here rolled sleeve oversize tee in black (also in grey)
Jeans: Portmans pink leopard print skinny jeans
Shoesblack slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus Cora purpleheart and mother of pearl watch C/O JORD
BagRebecca Minkoff MAB mini in soft grey (20% off with code FALLFAVES)

Why I wore it:

The style challenge for the day was 'fresh' and I decided to stretch the definition a little. I often wear these leopard print jeans with grey tees so I tried something slightly different and 'fresher' and went with a black tee instead, ha!

I actually really liked the black tee with these pants. I wasn't so pleased with the cardigan though, wish I hadn't worn it. While it was cold in the morning before we went out it was pretty warm the rest of the day and I didn't need it at all.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, grey cardigan, black tee, pink leopard print skinny jeansHavaianas, Rebecca Minkoff MAM.

Other ways to weargrey cardigan and a maxi skirt, black tee and blue jeans, pink leopard print skinny jeans in winter, Rebecca Minkoff MAM in the office.

Why I wore it:

I'm still so undecided with this outfit! It wasn't for a style challenge, I just felt like I wanted to wear these printed jeans again, and thought the black tank was a nice piece to wear with them. As it was a little windy, and we were having someone over in the evening so I'd need something to cover up with as I fed baby boy, I added the cardigan. I tried this marle cardigan to see how it would look with the chevron pants, and really liked the combination.

Then I saw the pics I took and I wasn't so sure. One of those outfits where you feel it's better than the picture. Won't be wearing this cardigan and the printed jeans together again. Although I was happy wearing it I'm just not sure it looks the best reviewing the photo.

Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer (above), brown marle cardi, black tank, Sass & Bide skinny jeans, black ballet flats, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB (above).

Other ways to wearbrown marle cardi and maxi dress, black tank and lace pencil skirt, Sass & Bide skinny jeans and purple, ballet flats and flares, Rebecca Minkoff mini MAB and a dress.

  1. I love printed jeans! I used to wear them a lot when I was younger, but somehow I forgot about them. Thank you for reminding me:) I need to find some nice pair. I agree with what you said, printed jeans are a great way to walk away from that basic jeans and tee outfit- not that there is anything wrong with that, but sometimes when we wear jeans too much, we might get stuck in a rot. So, it is great to wear printed jeans. Both of these pairs are lovely, but I especially like the pink leo print. It's the most gorgeous jeans print I have ever seen.

Both outfits work well, but my fav is the first one, because of those jeans. The second outfit looks very stylish indeed, but perhaps it would look better if the top was of some bright colour (light blue, orange, red etc)...just to bring a bit more colour in the game!

    Have a lovely day!

  6. I dont believe I own any printed jeans but they look so cool. I love how you switched things up and styled the first one with a black tee instead of the usual grey. Looks stunning. I like both outfits. You make me want to go shopping for printed jeans, :).

  16. I think the patterned jeans are so cool, I wish I could find some good ones. I personally think the patterns in the second outfit do actually go, but in a not-going way (if you see what I mean). I think it works, however I know what it's like to suddenly decide you're not into an outfit and there's no coming back from that!

  20. Great outfits as usual. The printed jeans do look like they’d be a great quick fix for an outfit rut. You should try wearing a clashing print top next time. I think it’d look great on you!

  24. I hate when I leave the house wearing something feeling fine and then later when I review blog photos am like "What was I thinking?"
I think the second outfit works, it just might be because the cardigan has subtle marbling/patterning to it as well as the fun printed pants that kind of throws things off for photos.
Love how you rock such fun jeans Mica! Always makes me realize I should be more playful with my wardrobe again :)

I tried on a pair once but I felt it made my thighs look huge and that's one of my insecurities (unexpected little confession right there haha) but you girl, you look gorgeous wearing them! 35. Printed jeans are such a fun way to get out a rut. Those pink ones are even better since they're colorful and printed :) I totally need to go ahead and wear my printed jeans now that it's colder. Sometimes outfits look soo different in photos, and it can kinda be a buzz kill. But sometimes the opposite happens and an outfit looks awesome in the photos and hey, that's a confidence boost :)

  39. I think the reason you were less than impressed with your second outfit choice, was because the cardigan appears to have a slight texture look to it. Though stunning, it classes with the printed chevron and the texture almost mimics another print. I can totally see that this texture probably isn't visible in person, but can photograph funny. Still, these chevron pants are a total show stopper and I love seeing all the different ways you style them! (:

    1. I think you're right Kiki! It's quite soft and non-textured in person but it certainly comes across that way in photos.
