What I wore:
Sunnies: Rayban new Wayfarers
Necklace: custom Cooper charm by SilhoupetteShirt: Choies pink chiffon shirt with strawberry print (C/O Choies)
Skirt: Atmos&Here grey marle jersey pencil skirt (same in navy)
Shoes: Wittner 'Bloomy' black heels
Bag: Mimco black button bag
Why I wore it:
It has been such a long time since I last wore this handbag. I'm glad I pulled it out again, I still love it. Thought black was good with the printed pink shirt and grey skirt.Last time I wore this skirt I wondered if maybe the fabric was a little too dressed down for the office. I still feel it's too dressy to wear casually though! This time around, I dressed it up a bit more with a button up shirt and heels. I didn't feel as out of place in this outfit, I thought it worked quite well. It is a very comfortable skirt, so I want to make it work.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarer, strawberry print shirt, grey marle pencil skirt, ankle strap heels, Mimco button bag.
Other ways to wear: strawberry print shirt with denim shorts, grey pencil skirt with Converse, ankle strap heels with a dress in winter, Mimco button bag with a printed dress.
What I wore:
Belt: Kmart thin black glitter belt
Skirt: Asos black tailored tab front pencil skirt
Shoes: Wittner 'Bloomy' black heels
Bag: Mimco black button bag
Why I wore it:
It's been a while since I last wore this top too. As I mentioned when I last wore it, it's great for office wear! Thought I would try it over a pencil skirt. It looks nice tucked in, but I thought I'd wear it untucked and belt it over the top. I regretted my decision to belt this later in the day though - the top is custom-made so it nips in perfectly at the waist, but the belt was just riding up and down and I kept having to adjust it through the day. It wasn't sitting comfortably with the top and the waistline of the pencil skirt underneath. Definitely need to wear it without a belt next time.I have worn the grey version of this skirt frequently on the blog, but I've only worn this black one three times (one, two and three). I bought it just before I got pregnant and it wasn't exactly accommodating for a growing baby belly, so that's why it's had so little wear. I do have a lot of pencil skirts, and a few black ones so I'm debating if I should keep this or not. I'm going to keep this in my wardrobe for the moment and see how often it gets worn now I'm back at work after baby. No point in keeping it if I keep passing over it to wear my other black pencil skirts instead.
Last worn: Raues polka dot top, black glitter belt, black pencil skirt, Wittner heels (above), Mimco bag (above).
Other ways to wear: glitter belt over a third trimester baby bump, ankle strap heels with tights, black handbag with polka dot skirt.

Super cute yet office appropriate - what's not to love?! I need some more ankle strap heels, they're so stylish x
ReplyDeleteLoving the grey skirt! I've been looking for a similar one quite some time ^^

2 polished yet girly and whimsical work outfits. Love both of those fun, coral-red, fun-patterned blouses, Mica. =)
ReplyDeleteMica I absolutely ADORE both of your office wear outfits. What a lovely, cheerful, charming but still professional office style. <3 That strawberry shirt is beyond cute, and I am loving your heels. I hear you on bags, it's such an excitement to purchase them and the first scratch hurts LOL.
ReplyDeleteI don't know how I missed your whole bag collection but checked it out right now, and your collection looks so versatile, and swoon worthy. :-) Happy Wed. XOXO, Elif
haha thank you Elif! I do have a lot of handbags! :P It is definitely a fun purchase - all the anticipation as you save up for the one you really want, wonderful to get it at the end! :)
DeleteJust how cute is that strawberry print shirt? The other top is pretty as well, but the strawberries are the winner here ;-) And that bag looks super practical for carrying around all sorts of stuff without it getting too lost in the depths.
ReplyDeleteHave a nice week!

For the Love of Leopard
You are the sweetest Mica! <3 That bag is gorgeous and still looks amazing, even if there's a tiny scratch somewhere. (; I don't buy super expensive bags, I'm obsessed with my Olivia + Joy tote I purchased from Macy's but it was under $100. Still though, when it's raining, the bag gets the umbrella and I'm fine with getting splashed. I do have my eye set on this amazing Kate Spade bag that my local TJ Maxx just got in stock. Sigh, it sucks being a total clothing addict.
ReplyDeleteI'm so happy you gave that skirt another shot. I happen to love the light grey. It is a more casual color, but I think the fact it's shapely really works to add a bit of office flair. And yay those shoes! Love the Mary Jane strap and so happy you are wearing them more.
When I saw that polka dot top, with the peter pan collar my jaw dropped. I love love love retro-esc things and polka dots are my favorite print. Plus who doesn't love a super cute peter pan collar? They are so feminine and interesting.
Oh by now there are multiple tiny scratches haha! Everyone has their own splurges, I like to buy less clothes and cheaper clothes so I can have more budget for accessories ;)
DeleteI'm so pleased you like the top! It's a cutie, I am hoping to wear it more now I'm back in the office :)
That strawberry shirt is so cute! Love how you styled it with the pencil skirt and black pumps and bab. Looking gorgeous!

DeleteI am glad you decided to keep the bag - it's such a classic piece and has great memories for you too! Also, the strawberry blouse is SO cute! I love it. Such a fun piece that is also office-appropriate!

You look great in pencil skirts Mica! And such a lovely story behind this bag - I used to covet it too! My first ever crazy splurge was a Bal Courier - never parting with that either, so many memories! x

Classic work outfits! I love the first one, especially the shoes and the sweet pattern of the blouse. The second blouse doesn't ring my bell when untucked - it just screams for a high-waisted skirt, in my mind. You look awesome. The bag...I just don't get bags. It's black. Lol.
ReplyDeletehaha everyone has their interests in fashion! You know a lot about clothes, I know a lot about handbags, everyone's different :) I think I will wear it tucked into a skirt next time! :)
Deleteso classy!!! i especially adore the first look!! :D

Mimco bag ? Yes please !
ReplyDeleteAthough I'de never heard of the brand, I have to admit I love the bag - the buttons, the detail.. its looks so well made. It looks new.. well considering how little you've worn it, it still is.
Oh I haven't worn it much since I started the blog, but the bag itself is around 10 years old, maybe older? It was my only work bag for a good few years, used 5 days a week. It is just excellent quality! :)
DeleteLove this outfit....especially the shirt. Following you now after I found you through a comment you left on Rebecca Tries Trousers. ☺
