Kameleonz Bali Sunglasses and Discount Code | Evening at Wintergarden Brisbane

I'm blogging less regularly as life revolves around baby T. I still have photos from last week to post, as nap times have been a little shorter than I'd like! First though, I wanted to share a couple of outfits from this week as they include an exclusive promo code and a little information about the late-night shopping trip I shared on instagram.

Here's what I wore to take advantage of Brisbane's "winter heat wave":
Aussie blogger chambray shirt dress converse louis vuitton neverfull printed scarf
Sunglasses: Bali sunglasses C/O Kameleonz
ScarfMarc by Marc Jacobs scarf in Island pine-print
Dress: Ezra chambray shift dress (on sale!, new purchase)
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
BagLouis Vuitton MM damier azur neverfull

One benefit of being home with baby and not commuting means that I get to avoid the cold early morning starts and take advantage of the almost summer-like warmer winter afternoons. It was the perfect chance to wear my new chambray dress and go bare-legged. I'm wearing new sunglasses too, thanks to Kim from Kameleonz Shades. She extended a little treat for all my readers - 20% discount at Kameleonz with the code 'MICA'!

I chose to get the 'Bali' shades. They are polarised and have UV 400 protection. Now that I'm driving a lot more, polarised sunglasses are really helpful, and I couldn't resist the awesome bluey-green metallic lenses on the Bali. Like all of the Kameleonz range, the sunnies come with interchangeable side arms, so you can mix and match depending on what you're wearing. Such a great idea! I'm wearing the teal, but the Bali glasses also come with green and black arms too that you can see in the picture above.

They are really affordable for what is essentially 3 different sunglasses, but an extra discount always helps. Whether you need them for the US summer or sunny Australian winter, you can still use the discount code as they ship internationally. I can confirm shipping to Australia is really quick too!

Last worn: printed scarf, white Converse, Louis Vuitton Neverfull. First time I've worn the dress and sunnies.

Here's what I wore to go out for the evening:

Earlier this week I had the chance to get dressed up a bit and head out to Brisbane Wintergarden for a special event. My first evening out since baby T arrived! Was a little sad to be missing bath time, but it was a fun night.

Wanted to be comfortable and warm as it gets quite cool in the winter evenings, and I wanted to wear my new striped dress. The leather jacket, scarf and ankle boots kept me cosy, and I added the bright handbag to stop the outfit being too blue.

At Wintergarden we were treated to champagne, nibblies, and the chance to shop and hear more about the latest fashions coming into the centre. I shared some photos on instagram. We stopped at Seed Heritage, Coach, Mecca Maxima, MJ Bale and Designer Archives.
At Seed Heritage we got to see the new Seed Collection that's coming into stores in August. If you love luxe fabrics you should check it out, so many nice pieces. When we got to shop I did get a little distracted by the baby section and splurged on baby T, but I picked myself up a cute scarf too.  I volunteered for a demonstration at Mecca and got a mini-makeover in the form of cat eye makeup. Not a look I'd have tried myself, so it was really fun to sport it for an evening.
The Coach store was another highlight, we got to hear more about the new direction the brand is going in design-wise, and the new collection that is launching on the 15th September. Worth saving for! Also had the chance to fall in love with the Smythe bag, it's really pretty!

It was my first blogger event, and I really enjoyed it, despite missing baby T a bit. Even had the chance to meet another Brissy blogger, Pip from Outside is Colours. She has such a flair for fashion, check out her instagram!

Last worn: printed leather jacket, skull scarf, Asos ankle boots, Marc by Marc Jacobs Ukita. First time I've worn the dress.

Scarves, Oversized Tees, Maxi Skirts and Converse

Here's what I wore to go shopping with baby T:
SunglassesRayban new Wayfarers
ScarfAlexander McQueen modal and cashmere skull scarf
TeeAtmos&Here rolled sleeve oversized tee in wine
SkirtTarget black and white striped maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

Nice casual and comfortable maxi skirt outfit to spend the afternoon at the shops with baby T stocking up on the essentials. It was supposed to be a morning trip, but the car broke down and we had to wait around for roadside assistance to come and fix it. Thankfully it didn't take too long for them to come and get us going again. Had to buy baby T a few more onesies, as he's outgrown his newborn size ones!

I love the way that this oversize tee drapes. I took advantage of the excess fabric to wear it in my third trimester, but I wasn't too pleased with the resulting outfit. The drapey-ness didn't show with a baby bump, and the drape is the best part! It was nice wearing it without the bump again, I really like the way it looks.

Last worn: Ray-Bans, skull scarfburgundy oversize tee, striped maxi skirt, Converse, Marc By Marc Jacobs baby bag.

Here's what I wore to go for a check up and get baby T vaccinated:
ScarfLiquorish owl print scarf in grey (on sale!)
Tee: Atmos&Here 'Cara' mesh panel tee (new purchase)
Tank (under tee)Jeanswest Jenni basic singlet in Royal Lilac purple
SkirtJeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

Another oversized tee and maxi skirt combo. I enjoyed wearing it the other day, so tried it again. Usually I'd chose a more fitted top with a maxi skirt, it's nice to try something different. I'm going to have to try get a better picture next time I wear this tee without the big scarf covering it up! A new purchase from The Iconic, as they had an extra 30% off. I bought a couple of dresses and this striped tee. It's really sheer so I layered a purple tank underneath for a bit of colour, but you can't really see it because of the scarf.

Maybe was a bit too much volume now that I look at the photo, but I picked the scarf as I wanted to be warm in the chilly morning. It's also soft and large like a blanket so it was hopefully comforting to baby T as he cuddled into me during his vaccinations. While we were waiting for a nurse, ran into a friend from work with his son, it was good to catch up and he got to meet baby T for the first time. He said I looked a little tired and stressed, but not too bad considering, hehe! Also had my last appointment with my OB, my 6 week post-partum check up. It's strange to think I won't be stopping by her office any more! Was nice walking in with a baby instead of a giant baby bump though.

Last worn: owl print scarf, purple singlet, jersey maxi skirt, Converse, MbMJ baby bag (see above).

Blue Denim, Alexander McQueen Skull Scarves. Cobalt Knit | Star Print

I'm blogging less often as life revolves around baby T. I'm sharing outfits when everything aligns and I'm dressed and had time for a photo.

Here's what I wore to get dressed quickly for having a visitor over:
ScarfAlexander McQueen modal skull scarf in white/pink
KnitAsos textured knit jumper in cobalt blue
JeansJeanswest 'spoylt' super skinny jeans
ShoesConverse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual

This is my "I had planned to stay at home in my pyjamas all day, I haven't cleaned the house, we have unexpected guests coming over for dinner with just an hours notice" outfit. A bit of a mouthful! It was put together in even more of a rush than usual, and has all my favourite outfit requirements. It's comfortable due to the denim, and warm and cosy because of the chunky knit. It's made up of my favourite colour (blue), with a scarf thrown on to add some colour (blue and pink is such a nice combination) and to try look a little more-put together. Just like last time, or the time before! Outfit formulas have been really helpful lately.

I was quite pleased I managed to get myself, baby T and the house ready for guests on such short notice, and even happier that we would be having take-away for dinner. I did forget to do my hair and fix up my very messy ponytail, but considering everything else was neat and tidy, counting it as a win! :) Even had time to take a quick outfit photo as I spoke with my sister on speaker phone (hence the giggle in the pic) before tidying the tripod away.

Last worn: pink skull scarf, cobalt knit, skinny jeans, Converse.

Here's what I wore to go out for dinner:
ScarfAlexander McQueen magenta skull scarf in roses print
Shirt: thrifted Zara star print shirt
Jeans: Sass and Bide "Straight up" jeans
ShoesAsos Cleo leather boots in black
Bracelets: the usual
BagMarc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag

Not wearing Converse for a change, although I am still wearing a skull scarf, hehe! Thought that the scarf added a nice bit of colour to the outfit. I thrifted this shirt a few months back while on maternity leave, and this is the first time I've worn it.

I have a habit of keeping clothes for special occasions, which used to result in a wardrobe full of items still with tags on that had been there for months. Although I am a little better, I still find myself "saving" clothes now and then for the perfect first wear. This shirt I thought was a bit too dressy for day to day wear, so I'd always pass it by in favour of something else. Eventually decided I should actually wear it instead of just looking at it, and wore this out to have dinner with the in-laws and catch up with my visiting sister-in-law. It happened to match baby T's wrap too until, like the wrap before it, it needed an early trip to the wash basket! Life with baby is very messy sometimes ;)

Last worn: Roses skull scarf, Sass and Bide skinny jeans, Asos leather boots, Marc by Marc Jacobs Baby bag. First time I've worn the shirt.
