Sunglasses: Rayban new Wayfarers
Scarf: Alexander McQueen modal and cashmere skull scarf
Tee: Atmos&Here rolled sleeve oversized tee in wine
Skirt: Target black and white striped maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in white
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag
Nice casual and comfortable maxi skirt outfit to spend the afternoon at the shops with baby T stocking up on the essentials. It was supposed to be a morning trip, but the car broke down and we had to wait around for roadside assistance to come and fix it. Thankfully it didn't take too long for them to come and get us going again. Had to buy baby T a few more onesies, as he's outgrown his newborn size ones!
I love the way that this oversize tee drapes. I took advantage of the excess fabric to wear it in my third trimester, but I wasn't too pleased with the resulting outfit. The drapey-ness didn't show with a baby bump, and the drape is the best part! It was nice wearing it without the bump again, I really like the way it looks.
Last worn: Ray-Bans, skull scarf, burgundy oversize tee, striped maxi skirt, Converse, Marc By Marc Jacobs baby bag.
Here's what I wore to go for a check up and get baby T vaccinated:
Scarf: Liquorish owl print scarf in grey (on sale!)
Tee: Atmos&Here 'Cara' mesh panel tee (new purchase)
Tank (under tee): Jeanswest Jenni basic singlet in Royal Lilac purple
Skirt: Jeanswest plain jersey black maxi skirt
Shoes: Converse Chuck Taylor All Star low in black
Bracelets: the usual
Bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs pretty nylon Eliz-A-Baby bag
Another oversized tee and maxi skirt combo. I enjoyed wearing it the other day, so tried it again. Usually I'd chose a more fitted top with a maxi skirt, it's nice to try something different. I'm going to have to try get a better picture next time I wear this tee without the big scarf covering it up! A new purchase from The Iconic, as they had an extra 30% off. I bought a couple of dresses and this striped tee. It's really sheer so I layered a purple tank underneath for a bit of colour, but you can't really see it because of the scarf.
Maybe was a bit too much volume now that I look at the photo, but I picked the scarf as I wanted to be warm in the chilly morning. It's also soft and large like a blanket so it was hopefully comforting to baby T as he cuddled into me during his vaccinations. While we were waiting for a nurse, ran into a friend from work with his son, it was good to catch up and he got to meet baby T for the first time. He said I looked a little tired and stressed, but not too bad considering, hehe! Also had my last appointment with my OB, my 6 week post-partum check up. It's strange to think I won't be stopping by her office any more! Was nice walking in with a baby instead of a giant baby bump though.
Last worn: owl print scarf, purple singlet, jersey maxi skirt, Converse, MbMJ baby bag (see above).

ReplyDeleteand that owl scarf is just perfect.
He's adjusting well - although baby T's crying can interrupt his daily naptimes sometimes, haha!

I think baby T's frustrated crying that the car wasn't moving as I called the assistance line may have made them come out quicker than usual...haha!
DeleteLove the navy maxi skirt with stripes, really trendy and perfect for a busy mum
ReplyDeleteYou look great! I love oversized tees and maxis. I wear them anyway, but it's nice knowing that I won't have to purchase a lot of maternity clothes whenever I get pregnant. I already own tons of oversized, flowy stuff. I also love to paid a scarf with anything, and that owl scarf is no exception!

ReplyDeleteThese types of outfits always look wonderful on you Mica. Maxi Skirts, T-Shirts and Scarves look amazing on you - totally your style. How is baby T? How old is he now? 6 weeks?
ReplyDeleteI miss hearing from you. Hope all is well. =)
He's 2 months now :)
DeleteI love all of your maxi skirts! Definitely the best thing for summer - they are so comfy! And I really like the drapy-ness of the shirt too!
ReplyDeleteThat draped tee is very lovely! I adore the purple-wine red shade on you! It is a perfect tee for fall/winter :-) I also love scarves that double as blankets. I have a particular one from Zara that I take to class with me in the winter because I can snuggle up in it when the auditorium is freezing cold again haha. I especially enjoy having it for morning classes ;-)
ReplyDeleteOh scarves that double as blankets are the best! I just bought 2! Not that I needed any more scarves..... ;)
DeleteI think I'm going to have to invest in a jersey maxi skirt - you look great.
ReplyDeleteSweet outfits Mica! I love the second one. BTW I'm loving how your dog has totally photobombed the photo! He's so cute! Hows baby T doing? My love to him :)

I love your uniform of maxi, tee, and scarf. It's perfection, a great mix of casual, dressy, and comfort.

I like the maxi skirts with looser tops. The way you tucked them in keeps the outfits from being too loose. You look amazing in burgundy!
ReplyDeleteLove your scarves. You look great in both (:
