It was hot, 39 degrees today (102 Fahrenheit for the Americans). I wore the least I could while still being able to go to the office, hehe! Covered up with a cardi when the aircon got chilly.

I'm really enjoying casual December at work, as I had to do a bit of walking in the city today and this was a nice simple outfit for the heat. Went over to my parent's house for dinner in the evening.

The skirt was last worn here, shoes here and bag here. This is the first time I've worn the top as it's a new purchase.

I feel I need to explain this Monday work outfit! Due to the high temperatures we are experiencing in Queensland we have been encouraged to wear casual outfits to work. It's been mentioned before, but the current area I work in is very much on the casual side of "business casual" so it's not that much different now we are allowed "smart casual" really.

Usually smart casual office wear automatically means denim but it's much too hot for that. Although there was a few brave people wearing jeans in the office today! I thought a light maxi skirt was a nice length for keeping cool and the bright tee made a nice summer outfit. As you can see in the photo my skirt caught the breeze quite a bit :) Think next time I need to wear a more fitted top though - looks a little messy after a long day!

The sunnies were last worn here, skirt here, shoes here and bag here. This is the first time I've worn this top.
