What I wore:
Sunglasses: Rayban new Wayfarers
Necklace: Eye Candy LA 'Sasha' statement necklace
Singlet: Jeanswest Carla Maternity Cut out tank (non-maternity version, new purchase)
Shorts: Jeanswest maternity rolled up shorts
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bag: Balenciaga Day bag in 2005 magenta
Why I wore it:
It's the first time I've worn this tank. I'd saved it for a hot day so I didn't cover up the awesome laser cut detail with a kimono, but it hasn't really shown up well in the photo! It has laser cutouts on the shoulders and on the back, you can see it better on the Jeanswest site.I thought the bright statement necklace and colourful bag dressed up a casual outfit nicely, and added a lovely touch of colour. I had the day off to relax and unwind and I spent some time with my mum in the afternoon.
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers, Jeanswest maternity shorts, Havaianas, Balenciaga magenta day bag. First time I've worn this tank as it's a recent purchase.
Other ways to wear: Jeanswest maternity shorts and stripes, Balenciaga magenta day bag in the office.
More great maternity tanks under $50:
What I wore:
Sunglasses: Rayban new Wayfarers
Necklace: custom Cooper charm by Silhoupette
Tank: Jeanswest Sol Maternity jacquard tank (non-maternity version)
Shorts: Jeanswest Georgie maternity boyfriend shorts (available in non-maternity also)
Shoes: black slim Havaianas thongs
Bracelets: the usual plus turquoise and silver beaded bracelet set
Bag: Balenciaga Day bag in 2005 magenta
Why I wore it:
Unlike my other tank in the first outfit, this is the second wearing of this one that I bought at the same time. I'm loving the print on this. The material is different to my other Jeanswest maternity tanks too, not as stretchy but very soft so it's lovely to wear. Wore this to work from home.Kept the same bag as I love the way the magenta pops against the blue.
As it's the second time I've worn this tank and I'm reviewing everything I buy after wearing it twice in a month to see if I'm buying things that will be well used in my wardrobe, my purchase review:
I love this tank. It's different from the other maternity tanks I have as it has a print, it's light and cool to wear and of course it's in my favourite colour. Even though I only have a few months left in my pregnancy I'm glad I bought this. Otherwise I'd end up wearing nothing but the three plain maternity singlets I had before!
Last worn: Ray-Ban Wayfarers (above), Jeanswest printed maternity tank, maternity boyfriend shorts, Havaianas (above), Balenciaga day bag (above).
Other ways to wear: printed maternity tank in the office, maternity boyfriend shorts and a floral kimono, Balenciaga day bag and a maxi skirt.

ReplyDeleteThey really are! I will miss them when I'm not pregnant I'm sure!
DeleteBoth tops look great on you Mica. I bet it is hard going through the last of your pregnancy during Summer. Hang in there girl!

Ooo, I love these! I'm taking note, as it's not summer in Texas yet, but Australia summer outfits are giving me some inspiration to prepare!
ReplyDeleteI could send some of the heat your way? I'm ready for it to cool down now haha!
Deletegreat pop of color!!! Love it!

Adorable!! I was always later in my pregnancies in the Summer, so an outfit like this was a staple. So so adorable!! Love the pop of magenta!! You're a doll!!
ReplyDeleteI think summer dressing is easier in pregnancy than winter dressing - less worrying about coordinating layers and getting them all to fit, hehe!
DeleteI must say, you look great in this casual maternity outfit. If I'm ever blessed to have a child, I will have to ask you your secret for staying shape while pregnant. :)

haha thank you! :) I just do light exercise as recommended by my OB :) Plus you barely eat in the first trimester with morning sickness, and in the third trimester baby squishes your stomach so much you can't fit much food in ;)
DeleteThese look like great tanks to pair with so many things!

Straight A Style
I am reaching the state of pregnancy where even my maternity tops don't really fit anymore, and I am happy I live on the Northern Hemisphere, because I need to wear compression stockings and would die if it would be summer right now!
ReplyDeleteLinda, Libra, Loca: Beauty, Baby and Backpacking
The last few weeks are so tricky finding things that fit! I'm glad I'm petite as maternity tanks are always so long on me, I'm lucky.
DeleteI have come to figure I have zero tanks left after my closet detox! I mean, by all means, that's hardly an issue as of this moment. Clearly the foot of snow on the ground is preventing much tank wearing. (; BUT I will have to stock up come summer time! Very tempting during my no buy month though. (;
ReplyDeletehaha I can see the temptation! But better to wait a little longer, see what you can find in the sales next month! :)
DeleteLoving that statement necklace in the first look, lady!

Great tops...and I really like your shorts...I was going to write bermuda shorts but this lenght seems to be between bermuda and regular shorts so that's pretty cool. I didn't manage to find this lenght myself, so I made it by cutting and rolling up some old jeans. I don't feel comfy wearing very shorts shorts (unless it is too the beach). Anyway, I do like these boyfriend shorts on you, they look fanastic on you. Both outfits are winning combos!!! Fabulous maternity styling.
ReplyDeleteThanks Ivana :) I like that these can be cuffed so I wear them like that all the time, they are definitely full bermuda length when you unroll them :)
DeleteThat Ballenciaga is so so pretty! And I can't believe it's the third trimester already! You really style your bump effortlessly!

Tank tops and shorts are the perfect casual combination for a hot summer day! I think a black tank top like the first one is a summer wardrobe essential due to its versatility. And that statement necklace brings all the fun! I also love the pattern of your second top and the color scheme, it looks so fresh!

I love your magenta bag and cute boyfriend shorts!

cute & little
BF Denim shorts are on my must buy list this Summer. That Magenta Designer Bag is gorgeous as is the first colorful statement necklace. Both dress up the shorts and tank for sure.
ReplyDeleteI have never mentioned it before but I think it is fun how in Australia several things are called differently than in the US. I love the name you guys have for the article 'singlet'.
Yeah I think singlet is an Australian-only word! :) You can interchange singlet/tank though, most people know what you mean no matter what you use.
DeleteYou look so comfortable for the summer!

Hey I love this style, very cute and suits you well! Especially those shorts, wish I could rock some like that, but you know, curvy thighs ;P

Your legs look great, of course you can rock shorts! You are looking great in your shorts in your latest post :)
DeleteOh my gosh! Those maternity shorts look amazing! I feel like getting myself a pair for days when I go crazy with food.

I don't think you can go wrong with cute tanks to get you through pregnancy--they're so versatile and perfect for layering if you need any coverage. Love both of these that you scored!
ReplyDeleteYes I've really embraced them this time around, didn't so much in my last pregnancy. I think the key for me, being short, is to get the fitted ones so that I'm not left wearing a tunic!
DeleteYou have the cutest pregnancy style! Love the printed tank and that bright bag!

ReplyDeletethe shorts look great! And I've always loved the Balenziaga day bag, great colour pop too.
ReplyDeleteBoth of these looks are so comfy and cute! i really like the print of your second tank and the pop of pink is perfect with both. Thanks for linking up with Fabulous Friday! Hope to see you back this week, Mica!
